Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Teardown Lead PlayStation Plus Extra, Deluxe Games for November 2023

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium game catalog, this month. Starting November 21, all higher-tier PS Plus members can embark on an epic dark fantasy adventure as the Arisen, whose heart gets ripped out by a dragon early on, marking him as a warrior destined to face the mythical creature and unravel answers to a sinister conspiracy. The combat is heavily reminiscent of the Dark Souls games, albeit you’ve got a crew of AI companions who would assist you in tight situations. Play around with magic, ride atop griffins, slice off Hydra heads, and more when Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen comes to PS4.

Coming as a day 1 release, Teardown, which launched on consoles November 15, also makes it way to the PS Plus catalog. With our company’s debt increasing astronomically, we’re forced to take on odd jobs from shady folk only to find ourselves consumed by rebellious nature as we plan out the perfect heist in a sandboxy world. Drive into walls, explode giant structures, or stack up objects to create the ideal path to your target, and partake in an elaborate heist to reap the rewards from your clients — all without getting caught. Teardown is now available on the PS5.

If you found time to play Dead Island from last month’s PS Plus collection, you could jump into its sequel Riptide, which serves as a direct continuation that pits our four immune protagonists against another batch of bloodthirsty zombies. Crack open undead skulls, slice appendages, and set hordes on fire on a brand-new island with up to three people in online co-op. Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition will be available on the PS4.

Puzzle game fans can check out Superliminal, out on PS4 and PS5. In this surreal title from Pillow Castle Games, you play as a volunteer for an experimental dream therapy program that throws a range of optical illusions your way. Through it all, your only form of guidance is Dr. Glenn Pierce’s voice, who helps players escape the layers through basic instructions such as object manipulation and switching camera angles to see puzzles in a new light — such as switching from 2D to 3D forms to better understand the solution. The first-person view simply adds to the claustrophobia. Meanwhile, mech-heads can pick from over 180 high-purpose metallic armour suits and engage in 2v2 battles against others online in Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme vs. Maxi Boost On.

As evidenced above, there aren’t many popular releases this month, causing PlayStation fans to once again raise concerns about the value of holding a PS Plus subscription, especially after Sony raised the prices of its 12-month plans, earlier this year. The company did launch 4K cloud streaming in October, but that’s only available to PS Plus Premium members, that too in select regions only. Short-term memberships are expensive in the long run and so, several fans have expressed their disappointment these past few months by cancelling PS Plus subscriptions. For what it’s worth, new 12-month PS Plus memberships are now available at a 30 percent discount, thanks to PlayStation’s Black Friday sale.

As usual, the November Game Catalog was unveiled on the PlayStation Blog and will be available exclusively to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members. Last month’s catalogue included Gotham Knights, Disco Elysium, and Alien Isolation to name just a few.

Here’s the complete list of free games available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium subscribers, starting November 21.

The blog post also lists the PS Plus Classics catalogue for November, available exclusively to PS Plus Deluxe/ Premium members. This month brings Grandia, Jet Moto, Up, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, and PaRappa the Rapper 2.

PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription starts in India from Rs. 849 per month, whereas the Extra subscription begins at Rs. 749 per month.

PlayStation 5 Owners Get Up to 6 Months of Apple Music for Free: How to Claim

PlayStation 5 owners can now claim up to six months of Apple Music for free, as part of a new partnership between Sony and Apple. Unlike many other promotions online, even returning customers will be able to claim five months of Apple Music for free, as part of the promotion that can be claimed within a year. The Cupertino company previously ran a promotion that granted owners of Sony’s current-generation gaming console access to Apple TV+ for a six-month period.

As part of a new partnership with Apple, Sony announced that owners of the company’s latest console can get six months of Apple Music for free. This promotion is only applicable for users who have not tried Apple’s streaming platform — previous subscribers can claim five months of free access. You will need a PlayStation 5 and your Apple ID in order to activate the free subscription.

In order to avail of the free subscription, you must download the Apple Music app for the PlayStation 5. Open the app from the “All apps” section in Media home. and log in with your Apple ID. Accept the offer to claim your six months — or five months if you’ve used the service before — free access to Apple Music.

It is worth noting that the offer is valid for a year from the date the promotion was announced, so you should be able to claim the offer until November 15, 2024. An Apple Music subscription provides access to over 100 million songs and Dolby Atmos content with Spatial Audio support on some Apple devices, according to the company. The iPhone maker previously offered six months of Apple TV+ access to PlayStation users last year.

According to Sony’s website, customers will be able to access their free Apple Music subscription on all supported platforms once they claim the offer on their device. The company’s music streaming platform is supported on a range of Apple’s devices, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, HomePod, Apple Watch, and the Apple TV. It is also available on Android smartphones, Windows (via the Microsoft Store), and via a range of other smart speakers including Amazon, Google Nest, and Sonos.

PS5 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Bundle Launches in India Tomorrow, Priced at Rs. 49,390

Sony is gearing up to launch the PS5’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III bundle in India. The cross-gen package will be available from November 10 onwards, but unlike in the US, the publisher isn’t selling the new slim version of the console here yet. Players will receive the standard 4K Blu-ray drive-equipped PS5, alongside a voucher code for Activision’s upcoming marquee shooter, at Rs. 49,390. This is part of an ‘introductory offer’ running until November 23, during which the bundle’s price has been slashed by Rs. 10,000 — after which, it will cost Rs. 59,390, which is the base price for any PS5 game bundle.

PlayStation has been ramping up marketing in India recently by offering numerous discounts on the PS5 and bundling it up with on-demand games like God of War Ragnarök, Spider-Man 2, EA Sports FC 24, and even Cricket 24 (to coincide with the ICC World Cup). It’s interesting to note, however, that the Modern Warfare 3 bundle available in the US is reportedly including the game worth $70 (about Rs. 5,830) for free with the PS5 Slim variant at a gross total of $499.99 (about Rs. 41,640). Meanwhile, players in India get treated to the same old version of PS5, where technically speaking, the game isn’t included for free in the bundle.

You see, a PS5 disc variant costs Rs. 54,990 in India, while the upcoming Call of Duty game is priced at Rs. 5,599 on the PlayStation store — totalling Rs. 60,589. Sure, the limited-time sale makes it way cheaper — at Rs. 49,390 — but once it’s over, you’re paying the full price. As usual, it will be available to buy from the usual Indian retailers like Amazon, Chroma, Flipkart, GamestheShop, Reliance Digital, ShopatSC, and Vijay Sales.

For now, it’s unclear when the slimmer version of the PS5 will arrive in India and if so, whether it will be priced similar to the current version. Sony previously suggested that once it manages to sell off the older models, only the new slim ones will be made available to purchase. It’s simply 30 percent smaller than the original version and comes with a detachable disc drive, which requires an internet connection to register/ bind it to the console. Hardware is all around the same, but the internal storage has been upgraded from an 825GB to a 1TB SSD. A digital PS5 slim variant is also available at $449.99 (about Rs. 37,400), albeit it’s more of a marketing gimmick since one can buy the Blu-ray drive separately and install it themselves.

Elsewhere, Sony has delayed half the total live service games it had planned to launch by March 2026 — down from 12 to six titles. During an earnings call, Sony PlayStation COO Hiroki Totoki said (via VGC), “We are reviewing this… we are trying as much as possible to ensure [that these games] are enjoyed and liked by gamers for a long time. [Out of] the 12 titles, six titles will be released by FY25 — that’s our current plan.” He further added that the remaining six will be evaluated further to see their potential — possibly another meeting with Destiny 2 maker Bungie to review the live service portfolio. It’s also worth mentioning that The Last of Us multiplayer game, which was allegedly put ‘on ice,’ is still in active development — as confirmed by its director Vinit Agarwal.

Both the PS5 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bundle and the game itself launch November 10.

Oppo Find X7 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Vivo X100 Pro+ Tipped to Get Sony LYT-900 Sensor

Oppo, Xiaomi, and Vivo – leading smartphone manufacturing companies, are reportedly testing new camera hardware. A tipster suggests that the firms are planning to use the new Sony LYT-900 sensor in their upcoming flagship smartphones. The models tipped to get the new Sony 1-inch sensor are the Oppo Find X7 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and Vivo X100 Pro+. In fact, the Oppo Find X7 Pro could be the first smartphone to launch with Sony’s new LYT-900 sensors.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) shared in a Weibo post that Oppo, Xiaomi, and Vivo are testing upcoming handsets with Sony LYT-900 cameras. According to the post, the tests are running well and premium models from all three brands could feature the 1-inch Sony Lytia LYT-900 sensor in their rear camera modules.

The handsets said to get this new camera are the Oppo Find X7 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and Vivo X100 Pro+. The post suggests that the Find X7 Pro will likely be the first among the three to be released in the market. However, if rumours about their launch dates are to be believed, it is likely that all three smartphones will be unveiled in quick succession from one another. Therefore, there will truly not be a lasting amount of exclusivity around the release of the models with the Sony LYT-900 sensors.

According to a GSMArena report, the Sony LYT-900 sensor is likely to come with a new DCG (Dual Conversion Gain) technology that is expected to reduce image noise and improve image output in low light conditions.

Recently, the Realme GT 5 Pro model, which is expected to launch soon, was reported to carry the Sony LYTIA LYT808 as its primary sensor, an OmniVision OV08D10 secondary sensor, and a Sony IMX890 telephoto sensor. In its rumoured triple rear camera unit the phone is expected to come with two 50-megapixel and an 8-megapixel shooter.

Realme GT 5 Pro Tipped to Feature New Sony-LYTIA Camera Sensor

Realme GT 5 Pro could be inching close to its release. Realme has not confirmed the launch date of the new GT series smartphone yet, but ahead of it, a Chinese tipster has leaked the phone’s rear camera details. The Realme GT 5 Pro is said to carry a triple rear camera unit comprising Sony’s next-generation LYTIA T808 sensor. Realme’s sister firm OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a LYTIA “Pixel Stacked” sensor. OnePlus collaborated with Sony to use the Sony LYT-T808 LYTIA image sensor with dual-layer transistor pixel technology for the OnePlus Open foldable phone.

Known tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) has leaked the camera details of the Realme GT 5 Pro on Weibo. As per the tipster, the upcoming handset will have a triple rear camera unit comprising a Sony LYTIA LYT808 primary sensor, OmniVision OV08D10 secondary sensor, and a Sony IMX890 telephoto sensor. As per a recent TENAA listing, the smartphone will have two 50-megapixel sensors and an 8-megapixel shooter at the rear. For selfies, the listing suggested a 32-megapixel sensor at the front.

Realme’s fellow BBK brand OnePlus has already announced its partnership with Sony to add a new LYTIA dual-layer stacked sensor on the OnePlus 12. The company has also packed the Sony LYTIA 808 sensor on the OnePlus Open’s main camera.

Realme recently teased the arrival of the Realme GT 5 Pro without confirming the exact moniker and launch date. It is highly expected to run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

As per past leaks, the Realme GT 5 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch (1,264×2,780 pixels) AMOLED display. It could come in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM options along with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB inbuilt storage options. It is said to carry a 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

PlayStation PS Plus November Free Games: Mafia II Definitive Edition, Dragon Ball the Breakers, and Aliens Fireteam Elite

PlayStation Plus’ monthly free games for November 2023 have been revealed. The three titles will be available to members of PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/ Premium plans, starting November 7. PS Plus members can become a gangster and run the streets of New York City in Mafia II: Definitive Edition, take part in explosive battles against classic supervillains in Dragon Ball: The Breakers, and battle through hordes of Xenomorphs in Aliens: Fireteam Elite. These games can be added to your PS4 and PS5 games library until December 4, after which you’ll have to hold on to your PS Plus membership for continued access. If you enjoy any of these titles, you could buy them for permanent access and continue from where you left off.

Sony confirmed the aforementioned additions on the PlayStation Blog late Wednesday, adding that PS Plus members have until November 6 to add last month’s free games to their library. The October lineup includes the space horror game The Callisto Protocol, the dark fantastical Western RPG Weird West, and Farming Simulator 22, where you could masterfully build out large-scale prosperous businesses.

PS Plus November 2023 – Mafia II: Definitive Edition

Growing up poor, war hero Vito Scaletta’s Sicilian family owed a lot of debts, which he must now clear by joining the wrong side of the law and getting entangled with the mob. Set in the fictional post-World War II era of Empire Bay, players must work with their buddy Joe Barbaro to take on high-profile hit jobs and climb the ladders to become the next big gangster in town. Extort and smuggle drugs and money, threaten worthless schmucks, and control the flow of drugs in the sprawling adventure of Mafia II: Definitive Edition — which is essentially an HD remaster of the Director’s Cut that comes with all the DLCs.

Mafia II: Definitive Edition will be available to play on the PS4.

PS Plus November 2023 – Dragon Ball: The Breakers

World-threatening supervillains easily steal the spotlight in the Dragon Ball universe until the heroes show up and engage in explosive battles loaded with Ki blasts. However, Dragon Ball: The Breakers puts you in the shoes of seven desperate survivors, who are forced to cower in fear and live through the onslaught of the Raiders — enemies like Cell, Frieza, and Buu — who evolve over the course of the game. Escape isn’t so easy since you’re forced to cooperate with others online to evade energy beams, respond back with stun attacks, or even shapeshift into a random environmental object if you’re playing as Oolong the pig. Meanwhile, the Raider player gets to enjoy overwhelming amounts of power as they zip through the city and wipe out everything. Think of it like Dead by Daylight but with Dragon Ball Z characters.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers will be available to play on the PS4.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite

Suit up with up to two other players (or AI) and follow a distress call through the stars onto the alien planet LV-895, whose caves swarm with hostile creatures waiting to rip you to shreds. Set in the expansive Alien universe, combat is heavily reliant on team composition — specifically what build you chose at the start, in addition to how consumables are shared between your teammates. Blast through endless hordes of Xenomorphs to escort your team to safety and slowly unravel the larger lore, or engage in Challenge runs to see where you stand. Aliens: Fireteam Elite also comes with ample gear customisation and level-ups to ensure encounters stay fair.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite will be available to play on the PS4 and PS5.

Last month, PlayStation also announced the set of games coming to its Game Catalog, available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium tier subscribers. Key highlights include Gotham Knights, Disco Elysium, Outlast II, and a lot more. The publisher also launched cloud streaming on the PS5 in select regions around the world, allowing PS Plus Premium members to stream top-tier games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ghost of Tsushima without having to download them.

PlayStation Plus subscription in India starts at Rs. 499 per month for Essential, Rs. 749 per month for the Extra plan, and Rs. 849 per month for the top-tier Deluxe. The monthly free games are included with all three tiers.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Could Be Bundled for Free With PS5 Slim Disc Edition

Sony announced a slimmer, lighter refresh of the PlayStation 5 last month, bringing new design changes that help the console shed its bulky signature. The PS5 slim, which now comes with redesigned side panels that allow you to add a detachable external Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive to the digital edition of the console, is set to release this month. While Sony has not announced an official release date, both disc and digital editions of the new PS5 slim will reportedly go on sale November 10 in the US and could arrive in a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle. Now, the PS5 slim disc edition is seemingly getting bundled with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, too. According to a Call of Duty news portal, the upcoming shooter from Activision is set to be bundled for free with the console.

The cross-gen bundle for Modern Warfare 3, which comes out November 10, costs $70 (Rs. 5,599 in India) on the PlayStation Store, but fans might be able to pick it up for free as part of a PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III bundle. According to CharlieIntel, a popular Call of Duty news site, the MW3 PS5 slim bundle will be available November 10 for $499. The disc edition of the PS5 slim is priced at $499, thus making the game a free addition to the bundle.

CharlieIntel posted an alleged image of a new Call of Duty ad that shows the game bundled with the PS5 slim disc edition, at $499 (roughly Rs. 41,577). The bundle would presumably be available in the US, but there’s no world on its availability in India. PlayStation and Activision have not yet officially confirmed the bundle, but if the MW3 PS5 slim bundle does arrive, with the game as a free addition, it would be a surprising development. The next Call of Duty title is one of the biggest game releases of the year and it seems unlikely that it would be bundled for free with the PS5. However, it might be likely that Sony is willing to sell its slimmer version of the PS5 at a reduced price, bundled with the next COD title, to boost holiday season sales.

Call of Duty maker Activision was recently acquired by Sony rival Microsoft, after the Xbox parent secured approval from the US FTC and the UK’s CMA for the $69 billion deal. Xbox CEO Phil Spencer, however, confirmed last month that Call of Duty and other Activision Blizzard games won’t appear on Xbox Game Pass until next year. Activision Blizzard, too, had earlier said on X that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III won’t be coming to Game Pass soon.

The PS5 slim, set to launch around the same time as MW3 in the US, will also reportedly arrive as part of a Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 priced at $559.99 (roughly Rs. 46,651). The Spider-Man 2 bundle, which is said to be releasing November 8, will also include the disc version of the PS5 slim.

The PS5 slim has seen a reduction in volume by more than 30 percent, and weight by 18 percent and 24 percent compared to the original PS5s disc and digital editions, respectively. While the PS5 slim’s processing power and graphical capabilities remain the same as the original PS5, the mid-gen refresh of the console does get slightly bigger internal storage, up from an 825GB custom SSD to 1TB. The disc edition of the redesigned PS5 slim maintains its pricing at $499.99 (roughly Rs. 41,615), but the digital edition gets a $50 price bump and will cost $449.99 (roughly Rs. 37,452), up from $399.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, meanwhile, is slated to release across PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S/X, and Xbox One on November 10. Digital edition pre-order customers will also get early access to the game’s campaign mode and will be able to play the main story up to a week before release.

Spider-Man 2 and Upcoming Wolverine Game Set in the Same Universe, Insomniac Games Confirms

Insomniac Games released Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, its eagerly awaited sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, on October 20 to critical acclaim. The first-party title has also become the fastest selling PlayStation Studios title in PlayStation history, shipping over 2.5 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed. On the back of the success of Spider-Man, Insomniac is already looking ahead to its future releases. The Sony-owned studio had announced via a reveal trailer in 2021 that it was working on a Wolverine game. Now, Insomniac has confirmed that the title will be set in the same universe as Spider-Man 2.

In an interview with Kinda Funny, Spider-Man 2 Bryan Intihar said the studio’s Spider-Man games and its upcoming Wolverine title exist in the same universe. Spider-Man 2 (and its predecessors) is set in Earth-1048, as also confirmed in the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film. According to Intihar, Insomniac’s Wolverine game will share that universe with Spider-Man games. “They’re all 1048. I think I got that right,” Intehar said in the interview.

Marvel’s Wolverine was confirmed to be under development at Insomniac Games via a reveal trailer at a PlayStation Showcase event in September 2021. The 53-second-long trailer did not give away much — not even showing the titular protagonist’s face — but keen-eyed fans did spot an in-game sticker on a fridge in the trailer that read ‘Radio Lowtown 1048 FM,’ seemingly referencing Earth-1048 universe. The trailer showed our Adamantium-clawed hero Logan, sitting at a bar, wearing a plaid shirt and a cowboy hat, holding a drink in his bloodied hand. Just as a hostile armed with a knife approaches him from behind, we see Wolverine take his claws out.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Review: Insomniac Games’ Ambitious Sequel Swings for the Fences

The game is in development for the PS5, but there’s no information on a release timeline yet. Insomniac have already had four releases in a span of three years on the PS5. Spider-Man: Miles Morales came out in November 2020 as a launch title for Sony’s current-gen console, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart released in June 2021, a remaster of 2018’s Spider-Man came out in August 2022, and Spider-Man 2 launched this month.

Insomniac Games’ Mike Fitzgerald on Spider-Man 2, Collaborating With Marvel, and the Studio’s Ambitions

While the studio has remained tight-lipped about Wolverine, gauging from Insomniac’s release cycle, we can expect the game to come out around late 2024 or early 2025. In an interview with Gadgets 360 last month, Mike Fitzgerald, Director of Core Technology at Insomniac Games, had said that the studio was really proud of its ability to remain prolific, while maintaining a high standard. “We pipeline these things; we have multiple projects in development at the same time. Part of what my team does is work on all of them at the same time and try and build all this engine and supporting technology underneath them. So, if we can do some work for Ratchet & Clank that we can then leverage in Spider-Man 2, that we can then leverage in Wolverine — that’s what really enable us to do all this at the same time,” he had said.

PS5 Slim Reportedly Requires Internet Connection to Pair Its Detachable Disc Drive

Sony’s slimmer and revamped PS5 console will reportedly need an online connection to set up its removable disc drive. As images of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 console bundle, slated for release on November 10, started popping up online, fans have spotted an interesting detail at the back of the box. First reported by the ‘Does it Play’ Twitter account, the disclaimer reads: “Internet connection required to pair Disc Drive and PS5 console upon setup” — it’s not clear whether it’s simply for the initial setup or whether the process has to be repeated every time the drive is removed and attached back.

As per a VGC report, Sony might be required to do an online check-in for verification purposes due to Section 1201 of the DMCA Act, which helps prevent piracy and third-party modifications. This ensures that the detachable disc drive is an official peripheral — whose daughterboard will pair with the PS5 console motherboard. While not explicitly mentioned, upon switching to a new disc drive, players might get asked to pair the two devices again, so a new digital handshake is formed. Game preservationists online have begun raising concerns about servers being offline during the pairing process. Of course, that’s not an issue now, but if Sony’s servers dedicated toward pairing and verification are taken down years ahead, players won’t be able to use their physical media.

Bear in mind that the aforementioned check will be performed regardless of whether you bought a 4K Blu-ray-equipped PS5 Slim or a Digital one and add a drive later down the line. Hopefully, Sony will update its terms to avoid the online connectivity stipulation in the future. An Xbox leak from September revealed Microsoft’s plans to release a mid-gen refresh for its Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, both of which boast an all-digital make that signals a massive departure from physical media on the consoles. Sony has yet to clarify the reasoning for an internet connection, in addition to dropping an official release date for the PS5 slim. That said, reports from earlier this month suggested that the 30 percent smaller variant will launch November 10 in the US, with a Spider-Man 2 bundle releasing two days prior.

The new PS5 slim (disc edition) is priced at $499.99 (about Rs. 41,599) — the same price as the original launched in 2020 — but comes with an upgraded 1TB SSD instead of the 825GB one. The remaining hardware stays identical, but the outer faceplate now features a black streak running horizontally. The upper half has a glossy finish, while the lower side of the console comes with the disc drive, officially branded by PlayStation. The Digital Edition is exactly the same, except for the lack of a disc drive, which can be purchased separately from authorised retailers. The PS5 slim Digital Edition is priced higher than the original version, going up from $399 (about Rs. 33,190) to $449.99 (about Rs. 37,440).

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chip Confirmed to Arrive on OnePlus 12, Xiaomi 14, iQoo 12 and Realme GT5 Pro

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was announced by Qualcomm at the chipmaker’s annual Snapdragon Summit event on Tuesday. The new chip will power flagship Android smartphones from a range of manufacturers expected to debut in the coming weeks and months — starting with the Xiaomi 14 that will be launched on October 26. OEMs like Asus, Honor, iQoo, Meizu, Nio, Nubia, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Redmi, Red Magic, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE will launch smartphones that are equipped with the new chip.

The Xiaomi 14 is set to debut on October 26 as the company’s next flagship smartphone and will be the first handset to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Company president William Lu has already confirmed the launch of the handset in China, but the company has not announced the launch of the Xiaomi 14 in other markets, including India.

On November 7, iQoo has scheduled a launch event where the company is expected to unveil the iQoo 12 in China — this phone is confirmed to be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip. Both Vivo and Realme have also confirmed the arrival of smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Meanwhile, OnePlus and Oppo will also launch phones powered by the new Snapdragon chip. We already know the next handset from the former will be called the OnePlus 12, but the company is yet to announce a launch date. On the other hand, we can expect the Oppo Find X7 Pro to be the firm’s first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip under the hood.

Redmi K70 will debut in China as the company’s first smartphone to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, but there’s no official launch date for the handset at the time of publishing this article. Onthe other hand, ZTE has confirmed that upcoming phones from Nubia and Red Magic will be equipped with the flagship Snapdragon chipset.

Other smartphone manufacturers that have confirmed that their upcoming flagship phones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip — without revealing the names of the handsets — include Honor, Asus, Sony, and Motorola. We can expect more smartphone makers to announce plans to launch handsets powered by the new Snapdragon chip in the coming days and weeks.
