OnePlus Nord 4 With Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC Shows Up on Geekbench, Other Certification Sites

OnePlus Nord 4 is expected to go official soon as a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3V, which was unveiled in China last month. OnePlus is yet to confirm the existence of the new Nord series smartphone, but ahead of it, the handset has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking site suggesting some essential details. As per the listing, the phone will run Android 14 operating system. In addition to the Geekbench certification, the OnePlus Nord 4 has allegedly appeared on the Camera FV-5 database and Eurofins website.

A OnePlus handset has been spotted on the Geekbench website with the model number CPH2621. This model number is believed to be associated with the purported OnePlus Nord 4. The listing shows 4,934 points in multi-core testing and 1,875 points in single-core testing. As per the listing, the handset could get 11.04GB of RAM, this could be translated to 12GB on paper. It is shown running Android 14 operating system as well.

The Geekbench listing for the OnePlus Nord 4 shows that an octa-core chipset will power the phone. It shows a prime CPU core with a maximum clock speed of 2.80GHz, four cores with a clock speed of 2.61GHz, and three cores capped at 1.90GHz. These CPU clock speeds correspond to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. Unsurprisingly, the same chipset also powers the OnePlus Ace 3V.

Meanwhile, MySmartPrice has spotted the OnePlus Nord 4 on the Eurofins certification site and Camera FV 5 database. The listing reportedly reveals a 5,430mAh battery unit, this might be a reference to the typical value of 5,500mAh. It could support 80W wired fast charging. The OnePlus Ace 3V houses a 5,500mAh battery with 100W wired SuperVOOC charging support.

The Camera FV 5 database suggests that the OnePlus Nord 4 will have a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation), an f/1.9 aperture, and a 26.4mm focal length. OnePlus could provide a 16-megapixel selfie shooter on the handset.

OnePlus Ace 3V was launched in China in March with a price tag of CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB option. It is offered in Magic Purple Silver and Titanium Air Grey shades.

OnePlus 13 Specifications Tipped; Could Offer a Similar Screen Size as OnePlus 12

OnePlus 13 is expected to debut at the end of this year but we are already seeing rumours about the flagship phone on the Web. Most recently, a tipster has suggested the display specifications of the handset on Weibo. The OnePlus 13 is tipped to come with a 6.8-inch display, which is similar to the OnePlus 12. Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) claimed that OnePlus is currently testing the OnePlus 13 with a 6.8-inch micro-curved LTPO screen with a 2K resolution. This hints that the upcoming phone will retain a similar display size as the OnePlus 12 with some general improvements.

Further, the OnePlus 13 is said to come with a new design and include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. This would be a significant upgrade over the predecessor’s optical scanner. The tipster reiterated that the OnePlus 13 would offer a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC and a periscope telephoto camera.

Past leaks has showed the handset in a white shade with a Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera. The camera unit was earlier said to feature a 50-megapixel main camera alongside an ultrawide lens and a telephoto sensor.

OnePlus 13 is expected to go official at the end of this year with high-end internals compared to the OnePlus 12. The latter was launched in India in January with a starting price tag of Rs. 64,999 for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

OnePlus Watch 2 Introduced in New Nordic Blue Colour Option: Price, Availability

OnePlus Watch 2 was introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in February this year. It launched in India and other global markets in two colourways. Now, the smartwatch has been unveiled in a third colour option in Europe. The new colour is said to share the design language of the OnePlus 12 lineup of smartphones. The watch has a dual-engine architecture allowing it to run two operating systems and offers up to 100 hours of battery life. 

OnePlus Watch 2 price, availability

OnePlus Watch 2 Nordic Blue Edition is priced in select European markets at EUR 349 (roughly Rs. 31,200). The Black Steel and Radiant Steel shades are marked at EUR 329 (roughly Rs. 29,400). The new colour option is listed in Ireland, Germany, the UK and other European countries. It is not yet confirmed if it will launch outside the EU region.

The OnePlus Watch 2 sports a round 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 pixels resolution, 600 nits peak brightness, and a 2.5D sapphire crystal screen. It is powered by a Snapdragon W5 SoC, as well as a BES2700 chipset. The former helps run Wear OS and Play Store applications, while the latter runs RTOS that is responsible for background activity. Users can also switch between Wear OS 4 and RTOS. The watch is equipped with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage alongside 4GB EMMC storage for RTOS.

They are currently priced at Rs. 32,999.

As mentioned, OnePlus unveiled the Solar Red variant of the OnePlus 11R 5G in October last year. But it was limited to the high-end 18GB RAM and 512GB storage model. However, this variant is currently not listed on the company’s official website.

The company has yet to announce the model or reveal its launch details, however, several rumours about the purported handset have surfaced online in the past few weeks. Some leaks have hinted at key features of the phone. A tipster has now shared some important design elements of the rumoured handset and hinted at a few of its specifications. Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) shared in a Weibo post that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is expected to arrive with a design overhaul compared to the preceding OnePlus Ace 2 Pro model. Although he did not specify what the changes would be, he claimed that the handset would have a metal middle frame and a glass finish with a “new coating process.”

As per the tipster, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will carry a curved display with 1.5K resolution. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage.

The tipster added that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is expected to be equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, similar to the Ace 2 Pro. They also said that the rear camera unit of the phone may also include a 2x telephoto shooter, but this is not sure. The phone is said to pack a large battery, which is speculated to be a 6,000mAh cell. Previously, it was tipped to support 100W wired fast charging.

OnePlus Pad 2 Chipset Deatils Leaked; Tipped to Come With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

OnePlus Pad 2 may hit the markets later this year. Tipster Max Jambor (@MaxJmb) shared in a new post on X (formerly Twitter) that the OnePlus Pad 2 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. This processor is used in several flagship-level smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, OnePlus 12, iQoo 12 and more. The chipset is expected to give way to considerable upgrades to the tablet over the current model.

Previously, the same tipster suggested that the OnePlus Pad 2 could launch in the second half of 2024, that is, sometime between July and December this year. Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 is expected to be unveiled around July this year, following precedence of the Galaxy Tab S9 series, which was introduced in July 2023. The OnePlus Pad 2 may launch on the heels of the Galaxy Tab S10, as a likely competitor.

Oppo, OnePlus Collaborate With Google to Utilise Gemini AI Capabilities for Their Devices

Oppo and OnePlus have joined hands with Google to utilise its artificial intelligence (AI) model Gemini’s capabilities in their devices. Under the partnership, the Chinese smartphone brands will get to leverage the Gemini models to introduce new AI features. Notably, Oppo already has its own native large language model dubbed AndesGPT, through which it has released multiple AI features in its devices in China. Recently, the brand announced that the Reno 11 series will get the AI Eraser feature globally.

The announcement was made during the tech giant’s annual Google Cloud Next event, where Nicole Zhang, General Manager of AI Product for OPPO and OnePlus, said, “Generative AI is a transformative technology, and I’m confident that OPPO and OnePlus are excellently positioned to deliver its benefits to users globally. Zhang also stated that both smartphone brands are planning to introduce more than 100 AI-generated content experiences for its users. AI-generated content experiences likely mean AI-based features that incorporate content in one way or another. Some examples of these features could be the Call Summary generator and the AI image generator. Notably, Oppo has introduced both of these features in China.

It appears that the collaboration with Google will be for Oppo and OnePlus users outside China. While the details of the collaboration are not known at this point, it could pave a path for the companies to bring Google-specific AI features to their smartphones such as Portrait light and lock-screen song identification. In a statement, the brands said some of the under-development features include summarising news articles, summarising audio, and generating new social media content.

Interestingly, the move coincides with Oppo’s recent announcement of bringing the AI Eraser feature to the Reno 11 series smartphones worldwide. The AI Eraser is a photo editing tool which can be found within the in-built gallery app. Once a user circles any object in the background, the AI processes and removes it, while restoring the background elements.
