Sony Inzone Buds With Active Noise Cancellation, Up to 12 Hours of Battery Life Launched in India

Sony Inzone Buds truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones were launched in India on Friday. The latest addition to the company’s TWS audio lineup has an in-ear design and offers an active noise cancellation (ANC) feature to reduce external noise. The Sony Inzone Buds pack 8.4mm drivers and come with a USB Type-C dongle connection with a latency rate of less than 30 milliseconds. They use Bluetooth LE Audio powered by the L1 chip and are claimed to deliver up to 12 hours of playback time on a single charge.

Sony Inzone Buds price in India

The new Sony Inzone Buds are priced at Rs. 17,990 in India. They are offered in Black and White colour options. They were initially released in global markets in November last year, alongside the Sony Inzone H5 wireless gaming headset.

The Inzone Buds will go on sale across Sony retail stores (Sony Center and Sony Exclusive), the ShopatSC portal, major electronic stores, and other e-commerce websites in India, starting January 22.

Sony Inzone specifications, features

The Sony Inzone TWS earphones boast a charging case and offer an ANC feature to eliminate unwanted external noise. The earphones come with an ambient sound mode and Sony’s dynamic driver X. They have 8.4mm drivers and the buds offer latency as low as 30ms to enhance the gaming experience.

Sony has provided a microphone with AI-based noise reduction on the latest earphones. They support Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound format for virtualised surround sound. They have Bluetooth 5.3 for pairing with nearby devices in a radius of 10 metres and offer support for LC3 Bluetooth codec. The earphones are IPX4-equivalent rated for sweat and water resistance.

The Sony Inzone earbuds have touch-enabled controls to answer or reject calls, and control the volume or skip tracks. They can be paired with both Android and iOS devices via the Sony Headphones Connect app.

The Sony Inzone earphones come with a USB Type-C dongle connection and they use Bluetooth LE Audio powered by the L1 chip. The total charge time is advertised to be two hours. They are claimed by the company to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time on a single charge with noise cancellation off. It is also said to offer up to 11 hours of playback time with LE audio. Further, Sony states that a five-minute charge gives the earphones up to one hour of playback time. The earphones weigh around 13 grams.

New PS5 DualSense Controller Promising 12-Hour Battery Life Spotted Online

Sony might be launching an updated version of its PS5 DualSense controller. A now-deleted listing on the Canadian Best Buy store revealed a V2 PlayStation gamepad, which does appear normal on the surface but comes with an ‘exceptional 12-hour battery life’ at maximum charge (via The Verge). This would be a massive upgrade from the existing DualSense controller, which comes with roughly 7-8 hours of juice, depending on the game. Priced at CAD 89.99 (about Rs. 5,580), the post also mentioned a click-in charging station that would be included within the box, making it convenient to play for longer hours and tuck it away neatly.

Besides that, the DualSense V2 controller seems like an exact mirror image of the original, sporting a 3.5mm headphone jack and an in-built microphone, alongside motors for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for better immersion. Even the weight is the same, coming in at 280 grams. Being a simple updated version, don’t expect any customisable back buttons or swappable thumbsticks from the more expensive DualSense Edge range of hybrid controllers. It is also worth noting that the Best Buy listing might not have included all the specifications, and currently, it’s unclear when or whether Sony plans on releasing it.

The company never brought up the new DualSense V2 controller during its CES 2024 presentation either, instead showing off three colourways — blue, silver, and red — for the PS5, which appear to have a metallic shimmer. While not explicitly mentioned, the side plates should be available for buy separately in the future. Elsewhere at the event, Sony demonstrated another cool thing the PS5 DualSense controller can be used for — to remotely drive the Afeela, the company’s collaboration with Honda to create a brand-new electric vehicle bearing a giant panoramic screen covering the entire front console.

Back in November, Sony reportedly filed a patent for an updated DualSense controller design, that would leverage AI assistance to learn player behaviour and light up its buttons, triggers, and analogue sticks to assist when stuck at a puzzle. Another idea to forward accessibility was to use the PS5 controller’s touchpad as an additional display that would spell out game hints visually. Bear in mind that just because an idea is filed doesn’t mean it will ever come to fruition, but it goes to show the lengths Sony PlayStation is going to stand out from the crowd.

Earlier this week, PlayStation revealed the new lineup of free games coming to its higher-tier PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium subscriptions. The collection includes the acclaimed Resident Evil 2 remake, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Just Cause 3, and more. The company raised the prices of its annual PS Plus memberships last year, as well.

Starting January 16, all higher-tier PS Plus members can head into their first day of work at the Raccoon City Police Department as the pretty boy rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy, only to be pit against hordes of flesh-eating zombies. As a remake of the original 1998 game, it features an additional pathway where you experience the story through the eyes of college student Claire Redfield, looking to reunite with her missing brother, before getting plunged into a conspiracy involving bizarre experiments and sinister corporations. Resident Evil 2 will be available to play on both PS4 and PS5.

Lend your ears to the quirky and boisterous Tiny Tina and set forth on a chaotic adventure to stop the Dragon Lord, brought to life by bullets, magic, and outlandish loot that function in a tabletop RPG format. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands also comes with support for online and local split-screen multiplayer and will be available on the PS4 and PS5. Armed with some explosive weaponry and gadgets, rain hell across 1000 km² of a sandboxy Mediterranean island to topple its ruling dictator’s empire. PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members can play Just Cause 3 for free on the PS4.

Leverage your skills in stealth to sneak inside towering castles and hidden forest camps to take on challenging assassination missions and slowly build trust amongst your comrades. Set in the Edo period of Japan, Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun has you control five specialists in espionage — a ninja, geish, trap expert, and more — to hunt down conspiring enemies from the shadows and restore peace in the lands. Meanwhile, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong pits you in a present-day Boston where bloodthirsty vampires walk among humans, residing secretly and hiding their nocturnal desires. Choose between intimidation tactics, seduction, and stealth to solve the mystery surrounding an attack on the secret society and shut down rumours about a power struggle. It’ll drop on the PS4 and PS5.

Put on your plastic uniform and go undercover to stop the notorious convict Rex Fury from unleashing a crime wave across the sprawling metropolis in LEGO City Undercover. Bust car thieves, prevent robberies, get into wild car chases, and investigate over 20 unique districts singlehandedly or with a friend (via co-op). Skating enthusiasts can dip their toes into Session, a realistic simulator ‘that combines ‘90s skate culture aesthetic with modern gameplay.’ It comes with a tone of customisation options and dual stick control, where each stick represents your in-game feet, forcing you to transfer weight seamlessly on a skateboard and perfect showy tricks.

All these and more were unveiled on the PlayStation Blog and will be available exclusively to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members in January (PS Plus Deluxe is called PS Plus Premium in select markets). Last month’s catalogue included Grand Theft Auto V, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, and Metal: Hellsinger to name just a few.

PlayStation Plus January Free Games: A Plague Tale Requiem, Evil West, and Nobody Saves the World

PlayStation Plus’ monthly free games for January 2024 — the new year — have been revealed. The month’s offerings include narrative-focused period adventure title A Plague Tale: Requiem, top-down dungeon-crawling action RPG Nobody Saves the World, and third-person vampire-hunting shooterEvil West. The three titles will be available to members of PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/ Premium plans, starting January 2. These games can be added to your PS4 and PS5 games library until February 5, after which you’ll have to hold on to your PS Plus membership for continued access. If you enjoy any of these titles, you could purchase them for permanent access and continue from where you left off.

Sony confirmed the additions on the PlayStation Blog late Wednesday, adding that Warframe players will be treated to the Syrinx Collection, bringing themed chest and shoulder plates, new weapons, and credits for use in the sci-fi shooter. Indeed, titles that were added to the service last month will be leaving on New Year’s Day — so feel free to add Lego 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator, and Sable to your collection.

PS Plus January 2024 – A Plague Tale: Requiem

Six months after escaping the French Inquisition, struggling siblings Hugo and Amicia travel far south, full of vibrant regions and cities, in the hopes of curing the former’s blood disease. But when Hugo’s powers reawaken, it shatters all hopes for a peaceful new chapter, bringing back a monstrous rat infestation and a trail of destruction, forcing them to flee once more and end the curse once and for all. Just like the 2019 prequel, Amicia is armed with a slingshot and crossbow to shoot bolts at enemies from the shadows, but the darkness is also where the bloodthirsty plague-ridden rats are hyper-active — urging you to find a good balance in your journey.

A Plague Tale: Requiem was nominated for Game of the Year in 2022, and will be available for free on the PS5.

Nobody Saves the World

When the ancient Calamity re-awakens, the pressure falls onto Nobody, a shape-shifting mass equipped with a magic wand, to save the enchanted world. Master the art of transformation to morph into over 15 varied forms, ranging from magicians, ghosts, dragons, a mobile egg, and even a turtle to solve puzzles enclosed within water bodies. Survey procedurally generated hostile areas and dungeons to uncover new mysteries and combine the skills of different forms to pull off some devastating combos. Nobody Saves the World also comes with co-op play, so you can invite a friend along for your bombastic adventures across this cutesy world.

Nobody Saves the World will be available to play on the PS4 and PS5.

Evil West

Step into the boots of Jesse Rentier, one of the last agents of a vampire-hunting organisation, and save the American frontier from destruction by supernatural entities emerging from the shadows. Switch between an arsenal of firearms, lightning-field gauntlets, and peculiar gadgets to slay down hordes of bloodthirsty monsters in style, before taking a break to hunt down lore items and other collectibles. The structuring is largely based around jumping from one mission to the other — each of which concludes with a cinematic boss battle — so if you’re looking for a gory good time to mindlessly slay vampires and monsters, Evil West might be perfect for you.

Evil West can also be played in online co-op and will be available on the PS4 and PS5.

Earlier this month, PlayStation also announced the set of games coming to its December Game Catalog, available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium tier subscribers. Standouts are Grand Theft Auto V, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Metal: Hellsinger, and more.

PlayStation Plus subscription in India starts at Rs. 499 per month for Essential, Rs. 749 per month for the Extra plan, and Rs. 849 per month for the top-tier Deluxe. The monthly free games are included with all three tiers.

Wolverine Gameplay, Upcoming Insomniac Games Slate, More Leaked in Ransomware Hack

Wolverine PS5 gameplay footage and internal data of countless Insomniac Games employees have leaked online. The ransomware group Rhysida has followed through on its threat to release 1.67TB of confidential data, after publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) refused to meet their demands of paying 50BTC or $2 million within a week. The group also claims to have leaked 98 percent of the data, while the remaining two percent was sold to undisclosed sellers — it’s unclear what those files contain. Videos have begun circulating online, featuring raw gameplay accompanied by animated storyboards, concept art, locations, the general plot, and a targeted release window of 2026.

In addition to gameplay, the leak seemingly contains a bootable build of Wolverine, featuring the main menu and chapter selects titled ‘Vertical Slice,’ which I’m assuming is for presenting to investors and publishers. Cast details are also now available, detailing Spartacus star Liam McIntyre as Logan/ The Wolverine, acclaimed voice actor Troy Baker as Mister Sinister, and Debra Wilson as Callisto — the last of them also stars in WB Games’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as Amanda Waller, whose plot details were also leaked earlier this week. Without going into detail, the in-game presentation is a departure from Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, with a tight over-the-shoulder camera that’s reminiscent of the God of War reboot. As previously reported, it’s set on the island of Madripoor and offers brutal combat bolstered by Logan’s adamantium claws, which can also be used to parry incoming attacks.

“Yes, we knew who we were attacking. We knew that developers making games like this would be an easy target,” a Rhysida spokesperson told CyberDaily, adding that the group was able to break into the domain administrator ‘within 20-25 minutes’. The files also contain emails among staff members and presentations listing upcoming unannounced games from Insomniac, which indicates an entire lineup of Marvel games that may or may not interconnect with each other. As it happens, Wolverine is the first of a planned trilogy of X-Men games, with the second and third entries planned for 2029 and 2033, respectively. There are a couple of new IPs in the works, alongside a new Spider-Man title, which we all saw coming, given how the ending was set up in the newly launched Spider-Man 2.

Last week, Insomniac Games delayed its Spider-Man 2 New Game+ update to early 2024, promising that the release will bring a host of new features to the mix, including mission replays, the ability to change the time of day in-game, and more. However, the leak revealed further free DLCs, promising new missions with villains like the Beetle and Carnage, and some crossover with Sony Pictures to include some Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse NPCs, villains, and the low-framerate comic-booky visual filter. Since the leak, developers have come together online to show support for Insomniac Games and denounce the hackers who were responsible for it. Even Rockstar Games fell victim to such an attack in 2022, which leaked in-development GTA VI footage, compromising the effort put into the game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is out only on the PS5. There is no official release window yet for the upcoming Wolverine game.

GTA 5 and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Lead PlayStation Plus Extra, Deluxe Games for December 2023

Grand Theft Auto V leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium game catalog, this month. Starting December 19, all higher-tier PS Plus members can hop back into the lively city of Los Santos and experience a tale of perilous heists and betrayal as a street hustler, a retired bank robber, and an impulsive criminal’s lives become intertwined in a twisted odyssey. While the game has been out for quite some time now, this addition perfectly lines up with the new GTA Online update ‘The Chop Shop,’ which brings a salvage yard and drift racing into the mix. GTA V will be available to play on both PS4 and PS5.

Take on the role of sworn warrior Jack Garland, fuelled by an undying thirst to defeat Chaos, in this dark fantasy reimagining of Final Fantasy. Backed by his party mates Ash and Jed, players engage in a sprawling adventure — visiting iconic locations such as the Chaos Shrine and Refrine Wetlands — to restore the crystals’ light and nullify the eroding darkness, by frequently stopping to engage in high-octane cinematic hack-and-slash battles. I’ll admit, that it’s quite flashy for an FF game, but that has to do with Square Enix’s collaboration with Team Ninja on this one, which is known for the Nioh series of games. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be out on PS4 and PS5. Or head into some good old racing and work your way to the finish line in MotoGP 23, featuring an entirely new career mode and dynamic weather that makes every competition unpredictable.

Rhythm-based games can appeal to a large crowd if done right, and Funcom’s Metal: Hellsinger is a great example of that. As a human-demon hybrid, step into the scorching domains of hell and lay waste to diabolical enemies using insanely powerful weapons, against a heavy metal music backdrop. Try to match the beat with every shot to maximise your score, and you may soon find yourself before the utterly cruel Red Judge. The game will be available on PS4 and PS5. Fierce clayborne warrior Grey Irma is on a quest to find her sculptor and unravel her purpose in this 2D side-scrolling souls-like game, as you explore the perilous moonlit dungeons and slash your way through tough-as-nails enemies and use every death as a learning experience. Moonscars also features a host of special armaments to master, powerful spells, and intricate storytelling that relies on you to piece the narrative puzzle together.

The acclaimed Shadowrun trilogy is joining the PS Plus Game Catalog this month, tossing you into a cyberpunkish world where creatures of magical myths have awakened and trudge along the lands. As a mercenary living on the fringes of society, interact with greedy corporates, solve elaborate puzzles, solve a murder mystery, and more to restore a hint of order in a dystopian Seattle. All three games Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong will be available across PS4 and PS5.

All these and more were unveiled on the PlayStation Blog and will be available exclusively to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members in December (PS Plus Deluxe is called PS Plus Premium in select markets). Last month’s catalogue included Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Teardown, and Dead Island: Riptide to name just a few.

Here’s the complete list of free games available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium subscribers, starting December 19.

The blog post also lists the PS Plus Classics catalogue for December, available exclusively to PS Plus Deluxe/ Premium members. This month brings Mega Man Legacy Collection, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, Thrillville, Thrillville: Off the Rails, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.

PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription starts in India from Rs. 849 per month, whereas the Extra subscription begins at Rs. 749 per month.

PlayStation Black Friday Sale 2023: God of War Ragnarök, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4, More

PlayStation launched its annual Black Friday Sale, late last week, offering discounts of up to 70 percent on key titles on the PS4 and PS5. The promotion is live across some first, but largely third-party releases, and is slated to end November 28 on the digital storefront. God of War Ragnarök is a standout among the catalogue, available at a 38 percent discount for Rs. 3,099, tasking Kratos and Atreus on a journey to the Nine Realms to prevent the prophesied apocalypse. PS Plus Premium/ Deluxe members also get a three-hour free trial period, in case you feel like testing the waters. Those who only own an old-gen PS4, however, can opt for the dedicated version at Rs. 2,279.

Meanwhile, its prequel God of War’s Digital Deluxe Edition will set you back by Rs. 999 at a 50 percent discount. The Last of Us Part I, a remake of the beloved post-apocalyptic zombie-killing game, at is available at Rs. 3,099 (38 percent off) for the PS5 — its sequel hasn’t received a discount. And of course, you can reach out to local retailers to acquire a physical copy of the same, which costs Rs. 2,499. In the same undead vein, you could also pick up Resident Evil 4 remake and step into the shoes of pretty-boy cop Leon S. Kennedy as he ventures into a ghoulish Spanish village to rescue the President’s daughter from bizarre cultists. It is available at a 43 percent discount for Rs. 2,279.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Review

The newest Assassin’s Creed title also makes it way its way to the Black Friday sale. After three open-world RPG focussed titles, Ubisoft has taken a back-to-basics approach with the franchise in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, set in ninth-century Baghdad with a focus on stealth and crafty assassinations. Released last month, AC Mirage is listed at Rs. 2,799 after a 20 percent price drop.

Fighting game fans have two choices to pick from — Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1. The former takes a vibrant turn, adding some RPG elements into the mix akin to the Persona games and a career-forming story mode that’s reminiscent of Yakuza. Street Fighter 6 also adds a Modern Control pattern, bridging the gap between old schoolers and newbies to the genre — the standard edition costs Rs. 2,239 after a 44 percent discount. Conversely, Mortal Kombat 1 marks another reboot of the franchise, after Liu Kang achieved godhood and altered the timeline to ensure peace in the lands. It’s listed for Rs. 3,359 — 30 percent off — and is perfect for those who enjoy some super-cool cinematics to go along with their fatal combos.

Speaking of cinematics, Final Fantasy XVI is also on sale, with its narrative-driven action RPG experience offering ability-based combat and slick cutscenes. The game tosses you into the war-torn lands of Valisthea to prevent the source of all magic, Aether, from fading away, by engaging in large-scale cinematic Eikon battles that ditch the franchise’s long-running turn-based combat. FF16 goes up for Rs. 2,879.

Final Fantasy XVI Review

Harry Potter fans could step into the enchanted hallways of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and tap into ancient magic while juggling between responsibilities like attending classes, exploring the dense Forbidden Forest, crafting potions, and fighting Dark Wizards. Hogwarts Legacy is up for Rs. 2,399 on the PS4 and Rs. 2,639 on the PS5. The Black Friday discounts will please Star Wars fans, too, who can continue Jedi Knight Cal Kestis’ story and take on the oppressive Empire in the acclaimed souls-like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for Rs. 2,699. For a more authentic souls-like experience, you could consider picking up the recently released Lies of P, where you take control of Pinocchio in a twisted Belle Epoque setting to rid the gothic town of Krat from pestilence. The game comes in at Rs. 3,039 on both PS4 and PS5 after discount.

Sports fans can get their annual dose of arcade football experience through EA Sports FC 24 at Rs. 2,249, or pick up NBA 2K24, the latest entry in the acclaimed basketball series, at Rs. 2,499.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered Confirmed by Naughty Dog, Will Include New Roguelike Survival Mode

The Last of Us Part II is being Remastered for the PlayStation 5, developers Naughty Dog have announced. The studio is promising a slew of technological improvements, new game modes, and other additions in a bid to make the remaster for a game, that came out on the PS4 in 2020, worth picking up on the PS5. Notably, the sequel to The Last of Us is playable on Sony’s current-gen console via backwards compatibility and had already received a PS5 update in 2021 that added support for 60fps. The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be coming to the PS5 on January 19, 2024, Naughty Dog has confirmed.

After the remaster leaked on PlayStation Network, the Sony-owned studio announced the upcoming title in a blog, alongside an announcement trailer, on November 17, calling it the “definitive way to experience” the game. The biggest new addition to the remaster is a new roguelike survival mode called No Return, which lets players take on enemies in randomized encounters. In addition to series protagonists Joel and Ellie, the No Return mode will also bring new playable characters from the game, each with their distinct abilities and traits that suit specific playstyles. “Players will chart their own course on each run, choosing between various stealth and combat encounters that will pit you against a range of enemies, with unique twists that can add new, unexpected factors to any given encounter,” Naughty Dog said in the blog.

Each roguelike run in the No Return mode will let players decide rewards for each encounter and how to upgrade their characters. New characters and skins can be unlocked with progress in the mode.

The game is getting a visual upgrade, as well. The Last of Us Part II Remastered will get native 4K output in Fidelity Mode, 1440p upscaled to 4K in Performance Mode, and an Unlocked Framerate option for TVs that support variable refresh rate. The remaster will also include increased texture resolution, increased Level-of-Detail distances, improved shadow quality, animation sampling rate, and more, according to Naughty Dog. The game also promises improved immersion with faster load times and haptic feedback and adaptive triggers support on the DualSense controller.

The upcoming remaster will also pack in some cut content from the original game. Players will be able to explore a new set of unfinished ‘Lost Levels’ in playable sequences that Naughty Dog says will provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of the game. Lost Levels will also include embedded developer commentary to provide context on the parts of the game that didn’t make the cut.

Additionally, The Last of Us Part II Remastered will bring a Guitar Free Play mode that will let players show their musical talents across a variety of unlockable instruments. The mode will include different characters and a number of in-game locations to let players strum away wherever they want, with whomever they choose. The game will also feature an unlockable Speedrun Mode, bonus character and weapon skins and additions to the photo mode.

Pre-orders for The Last of Us Part II Remastered will begin December 5 for both standard edition and a new W.L.F. Edition, which includes a steelbook display case and other in-game trinkets. All existing owners of the original game on the PS4 will be provided a $10 (about Rs. 833) upgrade path for the remastered version on the PS5. Players will also be able to import their PS4 saves to TLOU Part 2 Remastered.

Previous leaks had hinted that Naughty Dog was working on a remaster for The Last of Us Part II, with a developer at the studio accidentally stating it in a LinkedIn post in October.

Naughty Dog also released The Last of Us Part I, a full remake of the original game from 2013, on the PS5 in September last year, carrying a $70 (Rs. 4,999 in India) price tag. The game was ported to PC earlier this year in March, launching with several performance and graphical issues.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Teardown Lead PlayStation Plus Extra, Deluxe Games for November 2023

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium game catalog, this month. Starting November 21, all higher-tier PS Plus members can embark on an epic dark fantasy adventure as the Arisen, whose heart gets ripped out by a dragon early on, marking him as a warrior destined to face the mythical creature and unravel answers to a sinister conspiracy. The combat is heavily reminiscent of the Dark Souls games, albeit you’ve got a crew of AI companions who would assist you in tight situations. Play around with magic, ride atop griffins, slice off Hydra heads, and more when Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen comes to PS4.

Coming as a day 1 release, Teardown, which launched on consoles November 15, also makes it way to the PS Plus catalog. With our company’s debt increasing astronomically, we’re forced to take on odd jobs from shady folk only to find ourselves consumed by rebellious nature as we plan out the perfect heist in a sandboxy world. Drive into walls, explode giant structures, or stack up objects to create the ideal path to your target, and partake in an elaborate heist to reap the rewards from your clients — all without getting caught. Teardown is now available on the PS5.

If you found time to play Dead Island from last month’s PS Plus collection, you could jump into its sequel Riptide, which serves as a direct continuation that pits our four immune protagonists against another batch of bloodthirsty zombies. Crack open undead skulls, slice appendages, and set hordes on fire on a brand-new island with up to three people in online co-op. Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition will be available on the PS4.

Puzzle game fans can check out Superliminal, out on PS4 and PS5. In this surreal title from Pillow Castle Games, you play as a volunteer for an experimental dream therapy program that throws a range of optical illusions your way. Through it all, your only form of guidance is Dr. Glenn Pierce’s voice, who helps players escape the layers through basic instructions such as object manipulation and switching camera angles to see puzzles in a new light — such as switching from 2D to 3D forms to better understand the solution. The first-person view simply adds to the claustrophobia. Meanwhile, mech-heads can pick from over 180 high-purpose metallic armour suits and engage in 2v2 battles against others online in Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme vs. Maxi Boost On.

As evidenced above, there aren’t many popular releases this month, causing PlayStation fans to once again raise concerns about the value of holding a PS Plus subscription, especially after Sony raised the prices of its 12-month plans, earlier this year. The company did launch 4K cloud streaming in October, but that’s only available to PS Plus Premium members, that too in select regions only. Short-term memberships are expensive in the long run and so, several fans have expressed their disappointment these past few months by cancelling PS Plus subscriptions. For what it’s worth, new 12-month PS Plus memberships are now available at a 30 percent discount, thanks to PlayStation’s Black Friday sale.

As usual, the November Game Catalog was unveiled on the PlayStation Blog and will be available exclusively to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members. Last month’s catalogue included Gotham Knights, Disco Elysium, and Alien Isolation to name just a few.

Here’s the complete list of free games available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium subscribers, starting November 21.

The blog post also lists the PS Plus Classics catalogue for November, available exclusively to PS Plus Deluxe/ Premium members. This month brings Grandia, Jet Moto, Up, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, and PaRappa the Rapper 2.

PlayStation Plus Deluxe subscription starts in India from Rs. 849 per month, whereas the Extra subscription begins at Rs. 749 per month.
