PS Plus Monthly Free Games for May Include EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, Tunic and Destiny 2: Lightfall

Sony has announced the lineup of free games coming to PlayStation Plus in May. This month’s PS Plus offerings include four titles, led by popular football sim EA Sports FC 24. Other free games for May include action-platformer Ghostrunner 2, isometric action-adventure title Tunic and online shooter Destiny 2: Lightfall. All four titles will be available to PS Plus members across Essential, Extra and Deluxe/Premium tiers from May 7.

The PS Plus lineup for May was revealed on the PlayStation Blog Wednesday. All PS Plus members can add the four games to their library and access them at no additional cost as long as they have an active subscription. Ghostrunner 2, Tunic and Destiny 2: Lightfall can be added to the game library till June 3, but EA Sports FC 24 will be available on the service for an extended period till June 17.

Bear in mind that the free PS Plus games for April will be available till May 6, after which they will depart the service. April’s slate of PS Plus titles, announced in late March, includes first-person spell shooter Immortals of Aveum, spinoff strategy title Minecraft Legends and roguelike-action platformer Skul: The Hero Slayer. Here’s a look at the four free PS Plus titles for May:

EA Sports FC 24

This month’s PS Plus lineup will please FIFA fans as EA Sports FC 24 makes its way to the service. EA’s latest football sim, which launched last year in September, represents a new beginning for the popular franchise. The series shed its FIFA branding after failing to come to licensing agreement with football’s eponymous governing body. But FC 24 remains a familiar offering, bringing its arcade-style football gameplay across multiple single-player and online modes.

While there are no big changes in FC 24 (review), its Ultimate Team and Career modes are likely to keep players engaged until FC 25 arrives later this year. EA Sports FC 24 will be available to players on both PS4 and PS5.

Ghostrunner 2

Developed by One More Level, Ghostrunner 2 is a challenging action-platformer that features first-person parkour and sword combat. Sequel to Ghostrunner from 2020, the game puts players in the shoes of Jack, who can sprint, dash, wallrun and slide his way across challenging platforming sections and take on foes with his katana.

The game also provides additional tools like a grappling hook for traversal and shurikens for ranged attacks. Ghostrunner 2 arrives on PS Plus for PS5 users.

Tunic

An acclaimed indie action-adventure title that evokes classic Zelda games, Tunic lets players control a fox on an adventure through the ruins of a fantastical world. Much of the story unfolds through gameplay and environments as players find new pathways and instruction manual-style texts littered through the world.

Tunic encourages exploration and presents players plenty of puzzles and challenges in a cute visual style reminiscent of classic Nintendo titles. The game will be available on PS4 and PS5.

Destiny 2: Lightfall

After including Destiny 2: The Witch Queen in March’s PS Plus lineup, Sony now adds yet another major Destiny 2 expansion, Lightfall, to the service. The seventh expansion to Destiny 2, Lightfall was released in February 2023, adding a new story, gameplay elements, a new Strand sub-class and a new free-roam world to the base game. The expansion requires the base game to play and will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

This month, PS Plus members will also get the PlayStation Plus Football Ultimate Team Starter Pack to aid new FC 24 players on their FUT journey. Last month, Sony also revealed the slate of games coming to the PS Plus Game Catalog, available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier subscribers. April’s lineup includes Dave the Diver, Animal Well, Tales of Kenzera: Zau and more.

PS Plus Game Catalog Titles for April Announced: Dave the Diver, Animal Well, Tales of Kenzera: Zau and More

Sony has revealed the slate of games joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in April. In the coming weeks, PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier members will get access to deep-sea exploration RPG Dave the Diver, Metroidvania action title Tales of Kenzera: Zau, indie platformer Animal Well, open-world racing title Crew 2, action platformer Raji: An Ancient Epic and more. Most of these games will be available on the PS Plus catalogue on April 16. Tales of Kenzera: Zau and Animal Well, on the other hand, will join the service as day-one launch titles on April 23 and May 9, respectively.

April’s lineup of PS Plus Game Catalog titles was confirmed on the PlayStation Blog Wednesday. Both Dave the Diver and Tales of Kenzera: Zau were revealed as Game Catalog titles for April earlier this month.

Developed by Mintrocket, Dave the Diver made quite a splash when it was released last year on PC. A Nintendo Switch port followed, and the game will finally arrive on PlayStation consoles on April 16 as part of the PS Plus catalogue. Dave the Diver features a colourful pixel art style and puts players into the swimfins of Dave, the eponymous diver who explores the sea during the daytime to catch exotic fish and then helps run a sushi joint in the night with the day’s catch. As Dave, players dive into the depths of the Blue Hole with a harpoon gun in hand, fighting off dangers, finding treasures and exploring the sea. At nighttime, players must help run a bustling sushi restaurant, providing unique dishes and exceptional service to their customers. Dave the Diver will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

This month’s lineup of Game Catalog titles is full of smaller, indie games. Animal Well, a cute but dark pixel-art style Metroidvania platformer developed by a one-person team of Billy Basso, arrives as a day-one launch title on May 9. In it, players take control of a shapeless blob, explore intricate levels and encounter a number of animal spirits. Aside from platforming, the game includes a fair number of puzzles. Animal Well will be available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier subscribers on PS5.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau is another Metroidvania platformer that arrives as a day-one launch title on April 23. First announced earlier this month for PS Plus Game Catalog, Tales of Kenzera: Zau is a narrative-focussed 2.5D action platformer where players take control of the titular Zau, a young warrior seeking the God of Death. Its gameplay and visuals echo Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown from earlier this year, with fast-paced action combat and intricate platforming. Tales of Kenzera: Zau will be available on PS5.

Continuing the trend of indie action platformers, Raji: An Ancient Epic, developed by Indian studio Nodding Heads Games, also joins the PS Plus catalogue this month. The game is inspired by Indian mythology and lets players take on mythical beasts and demons as the eponymous protagonist Raji searches for her little brother. Raji features plenty of puzzles and sports a distinct art style and will be available on both PS4 and PS5.

Aside from Animal Well and Tales of Kenzera: Zau, all new PS Plus Game Catalog titles will be playable starting April 16. Do note that Game Catalog titles cannot be added to your game library and are only accessible till the time they are available on the service.

Late last month, Sony also announced the PS Plus monthly free games for April, available to subscribers across all tiers. These include Immortals of Aveum, Minecraft Legends and Skul: The Hero Slayer. The three free games are live right now on the service and can be added to your game library till May 6.

PS Plus Game Catalog Titles for March Announced: NBA 2K24, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Resident Evil 3 and More

Sony has announced the slate of games coming to PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in March. Starting March 19, PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium tier subscribers will get access to popular basketball sim NBA 2K24, tactical RPG Marvel’s Midnight Suns, survival horror title Resident Evil 3, and more. March Game Catalog offerings follow the month’s lineup of free games — available to all PS Plus members — that Sony announced in late February.

A PlayStation Blog post on Wednesday confirmed the pack of games joining the PS Plus Game Catalog this month. The newest NBA 2K title leads the lineup, offering basketball fans an authentic NBA experience. NBA 2K24 Kobe Bryant Edition features the late and great eponymous basketball star on its cover. Aside from featuring the latest NBA and WNBA teams with updated rosters, the game also features historic teams. The on-court gameplay has been refined, as well. Aside from the usual modes, NBA 2K24 also brings Mamba Moments, that allows players to relive Kobe Bryant’s career-high moments. 2K’s latest NBA title is also the first to support cross play between PS5 and Xbox Series S/X consoles. NBA 2K24 will be available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium members on PS4 and PS5.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns also arrives on both PS4 and PS5 this month. The tactical RPG from Firaxis Games lets players create a custom superhero, The Hunter, and lead a host of Marvel heroes in turn-based battles that also employ deck-building mechanics. The base game includes 13 popular superheroes, including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Venom, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and more.

PS Plus Game Catalog is expanding its Resident Evil offerings, too, bringing 2020’s Resident Evil 3 to the service this month. A remake of 1999’s Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, the survival horror title from Capcom puts players in the shoes of former agent Jill Valentine and mercenary Carlos Oliveira stuck in a zombie-infested Racoon City. The third-person shooter also features plenty of puzzles. Resident Evil 3 will be available on PS4 and PS5.

In addition to the Marvel heroes from Midnight Suns, PS Plus is also adding DC villains to the mix with Lego DC Supervillains, available on PS4. The action-adventure platformer is a spinoff from the Lego Batman series and allows players to create a custom supervillain from scratch. The Justice League has vanished and it’s up to the supervillains to save the day for a change. Players can team up with iconic DC villains like The Joker and Harley Quinn and take on the threat of a different set of supervillains from another universe.

All PS Plus Game Catalog titles will be playable on PS4 and PS5 from March 19. The games will be accessible to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium subscribers. It’s worth noting that the titles available as part of PlayStation’s Game Catalog cannot be added to your game library and will only be playable as long as they are available on the service.

The four free games available in March to all PS Plus members across Essential, Extra and Deluxe/Premium tiers were announced late last month. These include Sifu, EA Sports F1 23, Hello Neighbor 2, and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.

PlayStation Plus Monthly Free Games for March Announced: Sifu, F1 23, Hello Neighbor 2 and More

PlayStation Plus monthly games for March have been announced. The lineup of free games for the month includes racing simulator EA Sports F1 23, kung fu beat ‘em up Sifu, online shooter Destiny 2: The Witch Queen and survival horror title Hello Neighbor 2. All four titles will be available to PS Plus subscribers across Essential, Extra and Deluxe/Premium tiers starting March 5. Members can add the monthly free games to their library till April 1.

Sony announced the PS Plus Match lineup on the PlayStation blog Wednesday. PS Plus members will also get a cosmetic bundle containing outfits and weapon skins for the free-to-play shooter, The Finals. The four free titles, once added to the game library, can be accessed as long as players have an active PS Plus subscription.

The free PS Plus games for February will expire from the service on March 4. These include Foamstars, Rollerdrome and Steelrising, all of which can still be added to the library for continued access. Here’s a look at the PS Plus offerings for March:

Sifu

Death is not the end in Sifu. SloClap’s beat ‘em up action title puts players in the shoes of an unnamed martial artist on the path of revenge. Players go through intricate levels, beating up hordes of minions to reach the boss, battered and bruised. Each time you die, your character advances in age. And you run through levels again and again until you have total mastery over them.

Sifu features slick and stylish hand-to-hand combat, based on timely blocks, parries and dodges. With a variety of moves and environmental attacks to choose from, the game demands practice and grit. With a unique art style, evocative soundtrack and set pieces reminiscent of iconic kung fu movies, Sifu blends old school beat ‘em up gameplay with a cinematic presentation. The game will be available on PS4 and PS5.

EA Sports F1 23

F1 23, from racing veterans Codemasters, serves as the official game for the 2023 Formula One and Formula 2 championships, taking players through the highs and lows of a gruelling F1 season. F1 games are known to be authentic experiences and F1 23 is no different. The racing sim includes the popular “Braking Point” story mode, first seen in F1 2021.

The game features the official F1 lineup of 20 drivers and 10 teams from the season. F1 23 also brings a new set of driving mechanics, red flags feature, and the ability to set race distances to 35 percent. The game will be playable on both PS4 and PS5.

Hello Neighbor 2

Sequel to 2021’s Hello Neighbour, this stealth horror title from Dynamic Pixels tasks players with a new mystery. As an investigative journalist, you must find the missing kids in Raven Brooks, a small town where everyone has a secret.

Players will get to sneak around the town and look for clues by explore houses as they slowly unravel the mystery. Hello Neighbor 2 will also be available on both PS4 and PS5.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen

The PS Plus lineup for March also includes Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, a major expansion for the base game, available on PS4 and PS5. The expansion brings a new location, Savathûn’s Throne World, where players find themselves involved in a new mystery.

The Witch Queen expansion could be a great way to revisit Destiny 2 before the release of The Final Shape expansion later this year, which will conclude the game’s “Light and Darkness Saga.” Players will need to download Destiny 2, available free of cost on the PlayStation Store, to play The Witch Queen expansion.

Earlier this month, PlayStation also announced the list of titles arriving as part of the Game Catalog for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/Premium members. February’s titles include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, NFS Unbound, The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, Tales of Arise and more.

PlayStation Plus Monthly Free Games for February Include Foamstars, Rollerdrome and Steelrising

Sony has announced the pack of free games coming to PlayStation Plus in February. The monthly games lineup includes the new 4v4 online party shooter Foamstars, shooter-skater hybrid Rollerdrome and the Soulslike action-RPG Steelrising. The three titles will be playable for PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/ Premium members starting February 6. PS Plus subscribers can add the free games to their game library till March 4. Once added to the library, all three titles will be accessible as long as users have an active PS Plus subscription.

February’s monthly free games were announced on the PlayStation blog Wednesday. Sony is also handing out a few extra goodies in addition to the free games this month. All PS Plus members will get the Fall Guys Icons pack, that brings iconic Aloy and Ratchet & Clank in-game outfits. Meanwhile, PS Plus Premium/Deluxe members will get a two-hour time-limited trial for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, starting February 6.

It’s also worth noting that PS Plus members have until February 5 to add last month’s free games — A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West and Nobody Saves the World — to their game library. Here’s what February’s free titles have in store:

Foamstars

Foamstars, a 4v4 party shooter from Square Enix, leads the monthly free games lineup as a day-one launch title on the PS Plus. The game, which seems heavily inspired by Nintendo’s Splatoon, features quirky characters battling while surfing around in soaped-up arenas. The game will launch with three PvP modes across three randomised maps.

The game will also feature a PvE mode, called Missions, bringing both solo and four-player co-op experiences. Square Enix has said that the game will be supported over the next year with post-launch seasonal content, which will include cosmetics, new playable characters, new maps, and additional game modes. Foamstars will be available on both PS5 and PS4.

Rollerdrome

Roll7’s unique third-person shooter, which also doubles as a skating game, arrives to PS Plus this month. The acclaimed title puts players in the roller blades of Kara Hassan, a contestant in a hybrid sport that pits armed roller skaters against one another in an arena. You shoot other contestants while pulling off neat tricks and survive to move to the next round. In fact, performing tricks grants you extra ammunition.

As you progress, you unlock better weapons to shoot through the rink. And ticking off optional challenges in each stage will bring additional rewards. The game also features a unique art style that contrasts with deadly nature of its titular sport. Rollerdrome will be available to download on PS5 and PS4.

Steelrising

Fans of action-RPGs that feature punishing melee combat have just the right game in Steelrising. This Soulslike is set in an alternate history Paris, where a robotic army triumphed in the French Revolution. Steelrising’s mechanical automatons evoke Lies of P’s puppets, and the game features gruelling action combat in the same vein. Developed by Spiders, Steelrising encourages and rewards aggressive play with a fast stamina regeneration system.

The setting also brings real-life figures from French history, as players engage in intense fights across the streets and rooftops of Paris. Steelrising will be available only on the PS5.

Last month, PlayStation also announced the list of new games coming to its Extra and Deluxe/ Premium tiers. New entrants to January’s game catalog include Resident Evil 2, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next-Level Edition, Hardspace: Shipbreaker and more.

PlayStation Plus Essential subscription in India starts at Rs. 499 per month, while the Extra and Deluxe tiers cost Rs. 749 and Rs. 849 per month, respectively.

Resident Evil 2 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Lead PlayStation Plus Extra, Deluxe Games for January 2024

Resident Evil 2 leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium game catalogue, this month. Starting January 16, all higher-tier PS Plus members can head into their first day of work at the Raccoon City Police Department as the pretty boy rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy, only to be pit against hordes of flesh-eating zombies. As a remake of the original 1998 game, it features an additional pathway where you experience the story through the eyes of college student Claire Redfield, looking to reunite with her missing brother, before getting plunged into a conspiracy involving bizarre experiments and sinister corporations. Resident Evil 2 will be available to play on both PS4 and PS5.

Lend your ears to the quirky and boisterous Tiny Tina and set forth on a chaotic adventure to stop the Dragon Lord, brought to life by bullets, magic, and outlandish loot that function in a tabletop RPG format. Pick from six different classes to create a unique character, and mix and match skills to turn the odds in your favour while exploring ancient castles and dark dungeons filled with perilous enemies. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands also comes with support for online and local split-screen multiplayer and will be available on the PS4 and PS5. Armed with some explosive weaponry and gadgets, rain hell across 1000 km² of a sandboxy Mediterranean island to topple its ruling dictator’s empire. Bomb outposts in creative ways — glide through the air to drop explosives surprisingly or use grapple hooks and ‘totally unsuspicious’ parachutes to scope out areas for alternative means. PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members can play Just Cause 3 for free on the PS4.

Leverage your skills in stealth to sneak inside towering castles and hidden forest camps to take on challenging assassination missions and slowly build trust amongst your comrades. Set in the Edo period of Japan, Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun has you control five specialists in espionage — a ninja, geish, trap expert, and more — to hunt down conspiring enemies from the shadows and restore peace in the lands. Meanwhile, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong pits you in a present-day Boston where bloodthirsty vampires walk among humans, residing secretly and hiding their nocturnal desires. Choose between intimidation tactics, seduction, and stealth to solve the mystery surrounding an attack on the secret society and shut down rumours about a power struggle. It’ll drop on the PS4 and PS5.

Put on your plastic uniform and go undercover to stop the notorious convict Rex Fury from unleashing a crime wave across the sprawling metropolis in LEGO City Undercover. Bust car thieves, prevent robberies, get into wild car chases, and investigate over 20 unique districts singlehandedly or with a friend (via co-op). Skating enthusiasts can dip their toes into Session, a realistic simulator ‘that combines ‘90s skate culture aesthetic with modern gameplay.’ It comes with a tone of customisation options and dual stick control, where each stick represents your in-game feet, forcing you to transfer weight seamlessly on a skateboard and perfect showy tricks.

All these and more were unveiled on the PlayStation Blog and will be available exclusively to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members in January (PS Plus Deluxe is called PS Plus Premium in select markets). Last month’s catalogue included Grand Theft Auto V, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, and Metal: Hellsinger to name just a few.

PlayStation Plus January Free Games: A Plague Tale Requiem, Evil West, and Nobody Saves the World

PlayStation Plus’ monthly free games for January 2024 — the new year — have been revealed. The month’s offerings include narrative-focused period adventure title A Plague Tale: Requiem, top-down dungeon-crawling action RPG Nobody Saves the World, and third-person vampire-hunting shooterEvil West. The three titles will be available to members of PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/ Premium plans, starting January 2. These games can be added to your PS4 and PS5 games library until February 5, after which you’ll have to hold on to your PS Plus membership for continued access. If you enjoy any of these titles, you could purchase them for permanent access and continue from where you left off.

Sony confirmed the additions on the PlayStation Blog late Wednesday, adding that Warframe players will be treated to the Syrinx Collection, bringing themed chest and shoulder plates, new weapons, and credits for use in the sci-fi shooter. Indeed, titles that were added to the service last month will be leaving on New Year’s Day — so feel free to add Lego 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator, and Sable to your collection.

PS Plus January 2024 – A Plague Tale: Requiem

Six months after escaping the French Inquisition, struggling siblings Hugo and Amicia travel far south, full of vibrant regions and cities, in the hopes of curing the former’s blood disease. But when Hugo’s powers reawaken, it shatters all hopes for a peaceful new chapter, bringing back a monstrous rat infestation and a trail of destruction, forcing them to flee once more and end the curse once and for all. Just like the 2019 prequel, Amicia is armed with a slingshot and crossbow to shoot bolts at enemies from the shadows, but the darkness is also where the bloodthirsty plague-ridden rats are hyper-active — urging you to find a good balance in your journey.

A Plague Tale: Requiem was nominated for Game of the Year in 2022, and will be available for free on the PS5.

Nobody Saves the World

When the ancient Calamity re-awakens, the pressure falls onto Nobody, a shape-shifting mass equipped with a magic wand, to save the enchanted world. Master the art of transformation to morph into over 15 varied forms, ranging from magicians, ghosts, dragons, a mobile egg, and even a turtle to solve puzzles enclosed within water bodies. Survey procedurally generated hostile areas and dungeons to uncover new mysteries and combine the skills of different forms to pull off some devastating combos. Nobody Saves the World also comes with co-op play, so you can invite a friend along for your bombastic adventures across this cutesy world.

Nobody Saves the World will be available to play on the PS4 and PS5.

Evil West

Step into the boots of Jesse Rentier, one of the last agents of a vampire-hunting organisation, and save the American frontier from destruction by supernatural entities emerging from the shadows. Grand Theft Auto V leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium game catalog, this month. Starting December 19, all higher-tier PS Plus members can hop back into the lively city of Los Santos and experience a tale of perilous heists and betrayal as a street hustler, a retired bank robber, and an impulsive criminal’s lives become intertwined in a twisted odyssey. Or head into some good old racing and work your way to the finish line in MotoGP 23, featuring an entirely new career mode and dynamic weather that makes every competition unpredictable.

Rhythm-based games can appeal to a large crowd if done right, and Funcom’s Metal: Hellsinger is a great example of that. As a human-demon hybrid, step into the scorching domains of hell and lay waste to diabolical enemies using insanely powerful weapons, against a heavy metal music backdrop. Try to match the beat with every shot to maximise your score, and you may soon find yourself before the utterly cruel Red Judge. The game will be available on PS4 and PS5. Fierce clayborne warrior Grey Irma is on a quest to find her sculptor and unravel her purpose in this 2D side-scrolling souls-like game, as you explore the perilous moonlit dungeons and slash your way through tough-as-nails enemies and use every death as a learning experience. Moonscars also features a host of special armaments to master, powerful spells, and intricate storytelling that relies on you to piece the narrative puzzle together.

The acclaimed Shadowrun trilogy is joining the PS Plus Game Catalog this month, tossing you into a cyberpunkish world where creatures of magical myths have awakened and trudge along the lands. As a mercenary living on the fringes of society, interact with greedy corporates, solve elaborate puzzles, solve a murder mystery, and more to restore a hint of order in a dystopian Seattle. All three games Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong will be available across PS4 and PS5.

All these and more were unveiled on the PlayStation Blog and will be available exclusively to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members in December (PS Plus Deluxe is called PS Plus Premium in select markets). PlayStation Plus December Free Games Include Lego 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator and Sable

December is at the door, which means so are the free PlayStation Plus monthly games. The PS Plus free games for the final month of the year have been announced. Starting Tuesday, December 5, PS Plus member will get access to open-world Lego driving adventure Lego 2K Drive, clean ‘em up sim Powerwash Simulator and indie exploration title Sable. All three titles will be available to PS Plus subscribers across Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/ Premium plans. The free games can be added to PS4 and PS5 game libraries until Monday, January 1. You’d of course have to keep your PS Plus subscription to continue playing the titles.

PlayStation revealed its December lineup of free games on its blog Wednesday. It also sent out a reminder to PS Plus members to add the free titles from November to their game libraries. This month’s PS Plus offerings, announced November 1, include Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Dragon Ball: The Breakers and Aliens Fireteam Elite — players have until December 4 to add these games to their library.

Lego 2K Drive | PS4, PS5

Released earlier this year in May, Lego 2K Drive is a Lego-based racing game set in the BrickLandia open world. As a Lego game, everything in it is made of, well, Legos. And as common in Lego games, all in-game structures are destructible. The map features distinct explorable sections, each offering plenty of races. The game features an expansive story mode, in addition to a host of mini-games and challenges. Obviously, all cars are customisable and new cars can be built from the 1,000 unique Lego pieces available in the game.

Just like Ubisoft’s The Crew, race vehicles transform depending upon the terrain — your car can quickly change into a boat as the track transitions into a water body. Lego 2K Drive is meant to be played with friends and offers both cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, two-player split-screen, and six-player online play.

Powerwash Simulator | PS4, PS5

First released on PC and Xbox consoles last year, developer FuturLab’s cleaning sim Powerwash Simulator made its way to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation early this year. Now, the popular clean ‘em up is heading to PS Plus. Powerwash Simulator essentially plays out as a first-person shooter, but your trusted power washer and its array of nozzles are your only arms and dirt is your only enemy.

The game lets you take control of a power washing business as you go around and clean people’s houses, yards, and mansions. The jobs escalate in trickiness, and you could soon find yourself cleaning an entire park. Powerwash Simulator rewards patience and watching the grime wash away over time is where the magic of the sim lies. Over time, you also get to upgrade your gear and buy fancy cleaning equipment — the perfect holiday season gift for clean freaks. Exciting, isn’t it?

Sable | PS5

Made by a two-person indie development team Shedworks, Sable is an open world exploration game with a distinct art style. First released on PC and Xbox consoles in 2021, Sable debuted on the PS5 last year, leading players on a loosely structured journey through its world. There’s a barebones story, but the game is mostly experienced through its environment and NPCs.

There is no combat, as well, with the focus firmly on puzzle-solving, exploration, and traversal. Players can explore the world on a hoverbike and find clues to an ancient civilisation. Exploration and quests also grant rewards that can help customise and upgrade the hoverbike.

Earlier this month, PlayStation also announced the lineup of games coming to its Game Catalog, available to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium tier subscribers. Fantasy-RPG Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen led the pack of new titles, which also include Teardown, Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition, Superliminal and more. Teardown arrived as a launch title to the subscription service, releasing November 15 on consoles.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Teardown Lead PlayStation Plus Extra, Deluxe Games for November 2023

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen leads the pack of new titles coming to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe/ Premium game catalog, this month. Starting November 21, all higher-tier PS Plus members can embark on an epic dark fantasy adventure as the Arisen, whose heart gets ripped out by a dragon early on, marking him as a warrior destined to face the mythical creature and unravel answers to a sinister conspiracy. The combat is heavily reminiscent of the Dark Souls games, albeit you’ve got a crew of AI companions who would assist you in tight situations. Play around with magic, ride atop griffins, slice off Hydra heads, and more when Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen comes to PS4.

Coming as a day 1 release, Teardown, which launched on consoles November 15, also makes it way to the PS Plus catalog. With our company’s debt increasing astronomically, we’re forced to take on odd jobs from shady folk only to find ourselves consumed by rebellious nature as we plan out the perfect heist in a sandboxy world. If you found time to play Dead Island from last month’s PS Plus collection, you could jump into its sequel Riptide, which serves as a direct continuation that pits our four immune protagonists against another batch of bloodthirsty zombies. Crack open undead skulls, slice appendages, and set hordes on fire on a brand-new island with up to three people in online co-op. Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition will be available on the PS4.

Puzzle game fans can check out Superliminal, out on PS4 and PS5. In this surreal title from Pillow Castle Games, you play as a volunteer for an experimental dream therapy program that throws a range of optical illusions your way. Through it all, your only form of guidance is Dr. Glenn Pierce’s voice, who helps players escape the layers through basic instructions such as object manipulation and switching camera angles to see puzzles in a new light — such as switching from 2D to 3D forms to better understand the solution. The first-person view simply adds to the claustrophobia. Meanwhile, mech-heads can pick from over 180 high-purpose metallic armour suits and engage in 2v2 battles against others online in Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme vs. Maxi Boost On.

As evidenced above, there aren’t many popular releases this month, causing PlayStation fans to once again raise concerns about the value of holding a PS Plus subscription, especially after Sony raised the prices of its 12-month plans, earlier this year. The company did launch 4K cloud streaming in October, but that’s only available to PS Plus Premium members, that too in select regions only. Short-term memberships are expensive in the long run and so, several fans have expressed their disappointment these past few months by cancelling PS Plus subscriptions. For what it’s worth, new 12-month PS Plus memberships are now available at a 30 percent discount, thanks to PlayStation’s Black Friday sale.

As usual, the November Game Catalog was unveiled on the PlayStation Blog and will be available exclusively to PS Plus Extra and Deluxe members. Last month’s catalogue included Gotham Knights, Disco Elysium, and Alien Isolation to name just a few.
