OnePlus 10T, OnePlus 11R Stable Android 14-Based OxygenOS 14 Update Reportedly Rolling Out in India

OnePlus 10T was launched in India in August 2022 with Android 12-based OxygenOS 12 and the OnePlus 11R came with Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 when it was unveiled in February this year. Now, OnePlus is reportedly rolling out the latest Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 update to OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 11R users in India. The update was announced in September this year. Last week, the stable OxygenOS 14 update was said to have rolled out to the OnePlus 10 Pro users in the country.

An Android Authority report suggests that the stable OxygenOS 14 update is rolling to the OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 11R users in India, alongside users in the EU and North America. The report also details the changelog for the updates.

The OxygenOS 14 update for the OnePlus 10T introduces Fluid Cloud, File Dock, Content Extraction, and Smart Cutout features to the handset. The update also brings the Aquamorphic Design 2.0 that is claimed to improve the users’ colour experience on the phone. It also improves photo and video-related permission management and optimises system stability, the launch speed of applications and the smoothness of animations on the model, as per the changelog in the report.

Alongside its stable OxygenOS 14 update, the OnePlus 11R is also said to get the November 2023 Android security patches. The update offers improved system stability and performance as well as an extended battery life, according to the changelog listed in the report. It also reportedly arrives with fixes for Home screen wallpaper stutter, screen flicker, and unresponsiveness after password input issues. The update also claims to fix a Car Connect-related display issue.

In India, the OnePlus 10T starts at Rs. 49,999 for its 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 256GB options are priced at Rs. 54,999 and Rs. 55,999, respectively. It is offered in Jade Green and Moonstone Black colour options.

The OnePlus 11R, on the other hand, was initially launched with only the Galactic Silver and Sonic Black colourways. In October, it was unveiled in a third Solar Red colour available only for the top-of-the-line 18GB + 512GB option, which is listed at Rs. 45,999. The 8GB + 128GB and 16GB + 256GB variants are marked at Rs. 39,999 and Rs. 44,999, respectively.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) has leaked the specifications of the rumoured OnePlus Ace 3 on Weibo. As per the tipster, the handset will feature a curved display with 1.5K resolution. It is said to have a metal middle frame and a gunmetal grey glass body. Further, it is tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

The OnePlus Ace 3 allegedly made an appearance on the Geekbench website with the model number PJD110. The handset received a single-core score of 1,597 points and a multi-core score of 5,304 points on the platform. As per the listing, it has a chipset codenamed ‘kalama,’ which is associated with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The listing suggested 16GB RAM and Android 13 operating system.

The listing also suggests Android 13 operating system and 16GB RAM on the OnePlus Ace 3.

An upcoming OnePlus handset has turned up on the Geekbench website with the model number PJD110. The display of the OnePlus Ace 2 with the Dimensity SoC is also expected to be a 1.5K resolution flat screen instead of the curved AMOLED panel seen on the OnePlus Ace 2.

According to a report by MyDrivers, which cites tipster Digital Chat Station’s Weibo post, OnePlus is gearing up to launch a OnePlus Ace 2 variant that will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and a 1.5K flat display. The standard OnePlus Ace 2 and the OnePlus 11R 5G smartphones feature a 6.74-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display. The new smartphone is expected to be priced a little lower than the OnePlus Ace 2, and OnePlus 11R 5G, as per the report.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 SoC is its latest chipset and a flagship processor. The SoC is manufactured using a 4nm process. If this report is true, then it will replace the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC found on the standard OnePlus Ace 2. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC isn’t the latest Snapdragon SoC available in the market currently.

According to the report, apart from the processor and display specifications, all other specifications, features, and design of the smartphone are expected to remain the same as the OnePlus Ace 2 or OnePlus 11R 5G.

To recall, the OnePlus Ace 2, and OnePlus 11R 5G launched in China, and India respectively, with a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The rear camera setup supports 10x digital zoom, 4K video recording at 30fps (frames-per-second), EIS (electronic image stabilisation) and OIS (optical image stabilisation). For selfies, the smartphones come with 16-megapixel shooter that is housed in a centrally alligned punch-hole cutout.

However, it is worth noting that OnePlus has not provided any official confirmation on the possibility of a new OnePlus Ace 2 variant with the MediaTek Dimensity chipset as of yet.

Meanwhile, the OnePlus 11R pricing in India starts at Rs. 39,999 for 8GB+256GB storage. Meanwhile, the 16GB+256GB variant cost Rs. 44,999. The pre-orders for the handset will start on February 21 while it will go on sale via Amazon, the OnePlus website, and retail stores across the country on February 28.

OnePlus 11 features a 6.7-inch Quad-HD+ (1,440×3,216 pixels) 10-bit LTPO 3.0 AMOLED screen offering 525ppi pixel density, a dynamic refresh rate of 0-120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of up to 1,000Hz. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 11R comes with a 6.74-inch full-HD+ (2772×1240) curved AMOLED display with an adaptive dynamic refresh rate of 40Hz-120Hz. The screen offers 450 ppi, 1450 peak brightness, and a similar touch sampling rate as the OnePlus 11.

In terms of processors, the OnePlus 11 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It features an Adreno 740 GPU, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and the company’s HyperBoost Gaming Engine. On the other hand, the OnePlus 11R is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM.

On the optics front, both the handsets feature a triple rear camera setup, however, they carry different camera specifications. The OnePlus 11 5G packs a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch primary Sony IMX890 sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle Sony IMX581 sensor, and a 32-megapixel telephoto Sony IMX709 sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 11R features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, both phones have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, however, the OnePlus 11 also uses a Sony IMX471 sensor with an f/2.45 aperture.

In terms of battery, both OnePlus 11, as well as the OnePlus 11R, are backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging.

Finally, the OnePlus 11 measures 163.1×74.1×8.53mm and weighs 205g while the OnePlus 11R has a height of 16.34 cm, a width of 7.43 cm, and a thickness of 0.87 cm. It weighs 204 g. Both phones run on Android 13 out-of-the-box with the company’s OxygenOS 13 interface.
