As per the tipster, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will carry a curved display with 1.5K resolution. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of onboard storage.

OnePlus 12R Renders Leak Online Again, Showcase a Similar Design to OnePlus Ace 3

OnePlus 12R is all set to launch in India on January 23. The handset is speculated to come as a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3 that is already available in China. As we are inching closer to the launch timeline, more leaks are adding credibility to this rumour. Most recently, alleged official renders of the OnePlus 12R have leaked offering a glimpse at the possible design of the handset. The renders indicate a similar design language to that of the OnePlus Ace 3.

Tipster Roland Quandt (@rquandt) posted official-looking renders for the OnePlus 12R on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing the handset in blue and black shades. These images give users a glimpse of the device’s hole-punch display design and narrow bezels. They suggest the same look as the OnePlus Ace 3, which is currently available in similar Moon Sea Blue and Star Black (translated from Chinese) colourways in China. The handset is seen with a circular-shaped camera island at the rear housing three sensors and an LED flash.

OnePlus 12R will launch globally at the ‘Smooth Beyond Belief’ event on January 23 alongside the OnePlus 12. It is expected to come with a starting price tag of $499 (roughly Rs. 35,000) for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The 16GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is said to retail for $599 (roughly Rs. 35,000).

OnePlus Ace 2 With Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC was unveiled in China in February this year. Later the same handset made its way to India with the OnePlus 11R 5G moniker. Now, OnePlus Ace 3 aka OnePlus 12R is reportedly in the works. While its launch date remains a mystery, a recent alleged Geekbench listing has suggested that OnePlus could pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC on the upcoming handset. The listing also suggests Android 13 operating system and 16GB RAM on the OnePlus Ace 3.

An upcoming OnePlus handset has turned up on the Geekbench website with the model number PJD110. As per the listing, believed to be that of the OnePlus Ace 3, the phone has a chipset codenamed ‘kalama,’ which is associated with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The chip has a tri-cluster architecture with a prime CPU core clocked at 3.19GHz. It also shows that the phone has 14.83GB of memory. This could translate to 16GB RAM on paper. OnePlus 12 Confirmed to Get 2K Resolution BOE X1 OLED LTPO Display With 2,600 Nits Brightness

OnePlus 12 is said to launch soon, succeeding the OnePlus 11, which was released earlier this year in February. Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has confirmed the display details of the upcoming flagship . The OnePlus 12 is expected to be introduced to the market later this year in December. Leaked details of the phone have been doing rounds of the rumour mill in the past few weeks. Design renders of the smartphone have also been leaked. OnePlus also announced the display specifications of the OnePlus Ace 3, the successor to the OnePlus Ace 2 that was unveiled alongside the OnePlus 11.

In a Weibo post, OnePlus claims that the upcoming OnePlus 12 will be the first smartphone in the world to be equipped with a DisplayMate A+ rated X1 “Oriental Screen” with a resolution of 2K and a peak brightness level of 2,600 nits. According to an ITHome report, the company claimed during a recent press conference that the “Oriental Screen” is backed by Oppo’s first-generation Display P1 chip and holds 18 DisplayMate A+ records.

The X1 display also is said to offer a lifespan that’s twice the industry average. The screen performance is claimed to have been improved by 90 percent with this panel and power consumption of the same has been claimed to be reduced by 13 percent, notes the report.

In previous leaks, it has been speculated that the OnePlus 12 may share a similar design language to that of the preceding OnePlus 11. The upcoming phone has also been tipped to be powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The rumoured triple rear camera unit of the OnePlus 12 could include a Sony IMX966 50-megapixel sensor, a 48-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide telephoto lens (said to be the Sony IMX581), and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom and hybrid zoom camera. The handset could pack a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. It is likely to ship with Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.
