Prince Harry’s ’60 Minutes’ interview: Best moments

From psychedelic drug trips to wicked stepmothers, Prince Harry continued dishing royal family secrets and scandals Sunday on “60 Minutes.”

All week, Harry, 38, has been on a hype-heavy promotional tour for his book, “Spare,” which is filled with details such as Harry calling Prince William’s hair loss “alarming,” and Meghan Markle visiting Princess Diana’s grave to ask for “clarity.”

Appearing on the legendary CBS news juggernaut Sunday Night, Harry continued dropping bombshells on interviewer Anderson Cooper, 55.

Here are the biggest blockbuster moments from the tell-all interview, from Harry’s “nasty” fight with Prince William, to blasting stepmother/consort Camilla, and more.

William ignored Harry in school

Prince Harry fired shots at his brother Prince William right out of the gate. Anderson Cooper questioned Harry about how William didn’t talk to him while they attended school together, according to his book.

“At the time it hurt,” said Harry. “I couldn’t make sense of it. I was like, ‘What do you mean? We’re now at the same school. Like, I haven’t seen you for ages, now we get to hang out together.’ He’s like, ‘No, no, no, when we’re at school we don’t know each other.’ And I took that personally.”

Icky ‘wet hands’ for Princess Diana

Harry talked about his walk with William to greet mourners outside of Kensington Palace following Princess Diana’s death.

When Cooper asked what he thinks when he watches the video footage now, Harry said, “I think it’s bizarre, because I see William and me smiling. I remember the guilt that I felt… people that we were meeting were showing more emotion than we were showing… I talk about how wet people’s hands were.”

He explained that he couldn’t understand why people’s hands were damp — but it was from wiping their own tears.

“I do remember one of the strangest parts to it was taking flowers from people and then placing those flowers with the rest of them,” Harry said, looking a tad squeamish. “As if I was some sort of middle person for their grief. And that really stood out for me.”

He also said that he cried for the first time when Diana’s coffin went into the ground. “There was never another time,” he said.

He thought Diana wasn’t really dead

Harry went into detail about his mother’s death in a famous 1997 car crash, and his reaction to it. “For a long time, I just refused to accept that she was gone. She would never do this to us, but also part of, maybe this is all part of a plan,” said Harry. “Then that she would call us and that we would go and join her, yeah.”

Harry said that William had “similar thoughts” and he held onto this belief for “years.” But when he was 20, he asked to see the police report about the crash that killed his mother, in order to have “proof.”

“Proof that she was in the car. Proof that she was injured. And proof that the very paparazzi that chased her into the tunnel were the ones that were taking photographs —photographs of her lying half dead on the back seat of the car,” he said.

He doesn’t have all the answers about Di’s death

When Cooper asked Harry if he feels that he’s gotten all of the answers about what really happened when Princess Diana died in a tunnel in Paris, Harry said, “Truth be known, no. I don’t think I do. And I don’t think my brother does, either.

I don’t think the world does.”

Drinking and drugs

Cooper questioned Harry about his use of pot and cocaine in the past. Harry said he did it in the years following his mother’s death, as a response.

“I resorted to drinking heavily. Because I wanted to numb the feeling, or I wanted to distract myself from how…whatever I was thinking. And I would, you know, resort to drugs as well,” he said.

He also said that he thinks using as psychedelics, Ayahuasca, psilocybin, mushrooms, helped him.

“They cleared away this idea that I had in my head that I needed to cry to prove to my mother that I missed her. When in fact, all she wanted was for me to be happy.”

Although he wasn’t specific about the timeline of his drug use, he said that his destructive behavior changed because of Meghan Markle. “Rather than getting drunk, falling out of clubs, taking drugs, I had now found the love of my life, and I now had the opportunity to start a family with her.”

Camilla the villain

Harry wrote in his book that he and William directly asked Charles not to marry Camilla. In his “60 Minutes” interview, he continued to blast her.

“We didn’t think it was necessary,” he said. “We thought that it was gonna cause more harm than good.”

He also said that her need to rehabilitate her image from a “villain” in the British press made her “dangerous” because of the connections that she was making with the tabolids.

“And there was open willingness on both sides to trade of information. And with a family built on hierarchy, and with her, on the way to being Queen consort, there was gonna be people or bodies left in the street because of that.”

Harry felt that he was one of these “bodies,” he said, writing in his book, “Camilla sacrified me on her personal P.R. altar.”

Instant mistrust of Meghan Markle

In his book, Harry writes that when he introduced Markle to the Royal family in 2016, his father initially liked her but William was skeptical and called her “an American actress,” disdainfully.

Harry said this distrust started off, “Right from the beginning, before they even had a chance to get to know her.  And the U.K. press jumped on that. And here we are…The fact that she was American, an actress, divorced, Black, biracial with a Black mother. Those were just four of the typical stereotypes that is– becomes a feeding frenzy for the British press.”

The royals read the tabloids

Harry said that part of his family’s mistrust in Markle was because they read the press themselves. “My family read the tabloids, you know? It’s laid out at breakfast when everyone comes together,” he said. “So, whether you walk around saying you believe it or not, it’s still leaving an imprint in your mind. So, if you have that judgment based on a stereotype right at the beginning, it’s very, very hard to get over that.”

William and Charles were “furious” about Harry’s statement supporting Markle

In 2016, shortly after Harry’s relationship with Meghan became public, he put out a statement condemning what he saw as the racist way the press treated her. But his dad and brother weren’t happy, he said.

“They felt as though it made them look bad. They felt as though they didn’t have a chance or weren’t able to do that for their partners. What Meghan had to go through was similar in some part to what Kate and what Camilla went through, very different circumstances.”

Markle’s race made her situation different, which is family couldn’t understand, he said.

“I went into this incredibly naïve. I had no idea the British press were so bigoted. Hell, I was probably bigoted before the relationship with with Meghan.”

The “nasty” physical fight with William

In his book, Harry alleges that his tension with William about Markle led to a physical altercation in 2019. He elaborated to Cooper that Willam shoved him and he landed on a dog bowl, cutting his back.

“It was at a time where he was being told certain things by people within his office. And at the same time, he was consuming a lot of the tabloid press, a lot of the stories. And he had a few issues, which were based not on reality,” said Harry. “And I was defending my wife. And he was coming for my wife…through the things that he was saying.”

He didn’t specify what William said about Markle. “We moved from one room into the kitchen. And his frustrations were growing, and growing, and growing. He was shouting at me. I was shouting back at him. It wasn’t nice. It wasn’t pleasant at all. And he snapped. And he pushed me to the floor.”

Harry said that William apologized afterwards, but it was a “nasty” experience. “He knocked me over. I landed on the dog bowl. I cut my back.”

William asked Harry not to tell anyone, he said, but Markle noticed the cut on his back.

When Cooper asked Harry if he and William speak or text, Harry said, “Currently, no. But I look forward to us being able to find peace.”

“Spare” comes out Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Tejera, 37, a producer for “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” died Dec. 23, and cops was called to The Yale Club at 50 Vanderbilt Ave. later that night over a report of unattended children, police said.

Their mother, Dax’s widow Veronica Tejera, was later charged with two counts of “acting in a manner injurious to a child,” according to police.

Charlie Hunnam on his new Apple show ‘Shantaram’ and how he ‘went through a period of bad luck’

Charlie Hunnam is back on television after an eight-year absence on his new Apple TV+ series “Shantaram.”

“I love longform storytelling, and when I finished ‘Sons of Anarchy’ I knew at some point that I wanted to get into another television show,” Hunnam, 42, told The Post.

Hunnam starred as swaggering biker Jax Teller on “Sons of Anarchy” (2008-2014). Since then, he’s focused on the big screen in movies including “The Lost City of Z,” “The Gentlemen,” “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword” and “Triple Frontier.”

“I think it was probably about three years after ‘Sons’ finished that I was given this book [that ‘Shantaram’ is based on],” he said. “And it truly has been sort of an obsession, and a burning desire to be part of this team.”

Premiering Oct. 14, “Shantaram” is based on a novel by Australian former heroin addict and convicted bank robber Gregory David Roberts. The plot follows Lin Ford (Hunnam), a fugitive from prison who escapes to the vibrant world of 1980s Bombay. There, as a stranger in a strange land, he tries to create a new life for himself and avoid trouble.

The show was filmed in India and Thailand, and Hunnam said that, while he spent time in the former country to get a feel for the “magic and beauty of the place,” it wasn’t a walk in the park.

“I went through a period of bad luck where I contracted a very severe respiratory infection, a bacterial gut infection and a viral [infection],” he said. “I had an ear infection, conjunctivitis in both eyes, and then got a mosquito bite and contracted dengue fever. And you know, Hollywood is Hollywood. The show must go on! With all of those ailments, I still had to go to work for 14 hours a day.

“So, that period of time that I was suffering from dengue fever and working 100-hour weeks was not great.”

Nonetheless, he enjoyed hanging out with the novel’s author, Roberts, upon whom Lin is based.

“I was terrified, because Greg is a real living person and [is] going to watch this and wrote one of the greatest pieces of literature of the last 20 years,” he said. “It was intimidating to sort of step into those shoes,” he said, but his reservations vanished once they met.

“We slept about two hours a night, and spent 22 hours a day for four days talking. I left that experience feeling in some way that we kind of shared a soul,” Hunnam said. “We just knew each other the second we started talking. I left feeling more confident that I was going to have the ability to bring Lin to life. [I relate to] his uncertainty about who he is, and the way to get the most out of life. I think he’s a real searcher.

“Greg is interested in a lot of the things I find myself interested in, and he’s far smarter than I am,” he said. “So, he’s sort of an expert in these arenas [where] I’m just an interested amateur: psychology, philosophy, the meaning of life, is really what he’s exploring at the center. I find myself through acting … wanting to explore those same things.”

Hunnam’s penchant for method acting has been noted in his other projects such as “The Lost City of Z.” But, he said, he wouldn’t characterize it that way.

“I’ve been accused of that, but honestly I’ve never trained,” he said. “I try to do as much as I can to limit the need to act, only because I’m uncertain of my ability on any given day to be able to act the scene. So, if I have somehow created a parameter around it that feels real for me, I find that my ability to access the requisite emotion is much easier.

“I don’t know if that’s method or not. It’s just my own technique.”

‘The Crown’ will halt production in wake of Queen’s death

In the wake of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, “The Crown” is expected to take a production hiatus for Season 6.

The longest-reigning monarch in British history, whose dedication to royal tradition and stiff upper lip in the face of family scandals endeared her to generations of Britons, died on September 8. She was 96.

The royal family announced her death from Balmoral Castle, her beloved summer residence in Scotland, where members of the royal family had rushed to her side after her health took a turn for the worse.

“’The Crown’ is a love letter to her and I’ve nothing to add for now, just silence and respect. I expect we will stop filming out of respect too,” Peter Morgan, writer of the popular Netflix show told Deadline.

Season 6 is slated for release in 2023. Meanwhile, Season 5 is set to premier on the streamer in November.

Morgan, who also wrote the iconic 2006 film “The Queen” starring Dame Helen Mirren as Her Majesty, has declined to comment further on the monarch’s death.

Netflix has not responded to The Post’s request to comment.

The Queen was portrayed by Claire Foy in the first two seasons of the popular show.

Seasons 3 and 4 saw Olivia Coleman step up to play the role of her Majesty in her middle age.

Queen Elizabeth II the longest-reigning monarch in British history.

Producers for “The Crown” had been prepared for Operation London Bridge, the protocol that establishes what will happen from the moment of the queen’s death to when Prince Charles would be pronounced king.

“We have our own version of Operation London Bridge,” a series insider told The Post. “This is particularly pertinent for if we are filming. Filming will shut down immediately if we are in production, for at least a week. There would also be lots of discussion about when to restart.”

The award-winning television show also recently announced that Rufus Kampa, 16, will play Prince William, now 40, from the age of 15, while actor Ed McVey, 21, will play him during his late teens and into his early 20s, Deadline reported last week.

As for Duchess Kate Middleton, also 40, Meg Bellamy will portray her as a young woman.

The upcoming season will show Princess Diana, Prince Charles and the rest of “the Firm” as they deal with the issues that befall them in the 1990s, while Season 6 will move into modern times, chronicling the conflicts they encounter in the 21st century.

‘Virgin River’ ends its season with finale shockers

“Virgin River” unfolds like a Hallmark Channel movie stretched into a series — bad stuff happens, but it’s never too dark, and the dysfunction and violence is kept at a family-friendly minimum.

Even the show’s too-perfect interior sets seem like they should be on a backlot at Universal Studios or Walt Disney World — and not in the rugged, picturesque backwoods of Northern California, where “Virgin River” takes place.

But that’s part of the series charm: it’s reliable and old-shoe comfortable and its two stars, Martin Henderson (Jack) and Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel), are telegenic and appealing in portraying their bumpy love story.

The Season 4 finale took a few detours, tied up some loose ends and set up story arcs for Season 5, premiering next year on Netflix. By that time, you’ll have forgotten what happened in the season-ender.

Here’s a reminder.

I suppose the biggest shocker was that Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley) did not deliver her twins, despite what’s been a three-year pregnancy (five months in the series timeline, but still, enough already). In fact, in a WTF? moment she revealed that Jack is not the father, as she’s claimed all along, causing him untold angst. There were indications that she and Jack might get back together in the last few episodes of the season as her relationship with smarmy Todd went south and he struggled with Mel — but now that we know that Charmaine put Jack through an unnecessary hellish ringer, he must be questioning her intentions (if not her ethics and/or mental health).

Jack (Martin Henderson) bids a fond farewell to Ricky (Grayson Gurnsey), who’s heading off to basic training as a US Marine.

Elsewhere in Virgin River, baby-faced Ricky (Grayson Gurnsey) finally left for his Marine Corps. basic training in San Diego, despite misgivings about what he’s leaving behind, including his doting grandmother and, notably, his ex-flame Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale). She already has her hands full with Denny (Kai Bradbury), Doc’s (Tim Matheson) ostensible surprise grandson, who finally revealed why he’s been acting so weird (and it wasn’t the drugs) in an interminably long and draggy story arc: he’s got Huntington’s Disease, an incurable, progressive brain disorder.

Meanwhile, Preacher (Colin Lawrence), took matters into his own hands to rescue kidnapped Christopher from the evil clutches of his dangerous father Vince (Steve Bacic). Preacher dispatched Vince with a log to the head as they fought in the cabin — with Christopher’s mother, Paige (Lexie Doig), who materialized earlier after a seasons-long absence, ready to gun Vince down.

Oh, the drama!

In a neat, didn’t-see-that-coming twist, we learned that crime boss Melissa Montgomery (Barbara Pollard) who’s been threatening Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth) to move her drugs — or else — is Nick’s (Keith Mackechnie) sister. That calls into question Nick tripling his investment in Jack’s glamping idea; Montgomery already blew up Calvin’s boat, with him on board, and they’re still picking up the pieces … so this will likely impact Brady in Season 5. On top of all that, Jack’s sister Brie (Zibby Allen) was forced to confront her rapist when he paid an uninvited visit to Virgin River. She threatened to press charges against him but still won’t open up about the crime to Brady.

Jack’s sister, Brie (Zibby Allen), faces the unexpected arrival in Virgin River of the man who raped her.
COURTESY OF NETFLIX

The episode’s biggest reveal, as it should be, impacted our lead protagonists Jack and Mel. Jack finally agreed to a paternity test that proved that he, and not Mel’s dead husband, is the father of her baby, which should throw Mel’s scheming former mother-in-law off the scent of claiming she has rights to the unborn child (it’s a girl, by the way).

If this all sounds like a daytime soap, that’s because it is — but, like the best of that dying breed, we’ll keep coming back for more … as the world turns in Virgin River.

Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai’s Shubhangi Atre on her low-key birthday: I don’t believe in the idea of showing off

Shubhangi Atre became a household name with her entry into the popular sitcom Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain. She plays the role of Angoogi in the show, and her character is widely liked by the audience. The actress rang on her birthday on 11th April. She did not do any celebrations for her special day and donated food to the poor people who were fasting for the holy month of Ramadan.

In an interview with ETimes TV, she shared about her birthday, “After the pandemic, many people are still struggling to meet the necessities. And my concern was that as the holy festival of Ramadan is going on, I wanted to distribute food to the needy and serve a proper meal to them when they break their fast. So I went forward with the idea. My daughter wanted me to host a party but later even she agreed with it. My fans and friends made my day special. I don’t believe in the idea of showing off.”

The actress is known for keeping her personal life very private. On being asked about the trend of actors getting papped, Shubhangi said, “With everything today has a price, getting papped has its own and is a trend among celebrities. But I’m not of those who likes to mix personal and professional life. I’m not one to keep my managers updated with my airport timing, gymming time or coffee time (laughs). I’m very easy to answer calls from the media and reply to their queries and even greet them while meeting outside. But I would never enjoy permitting them to make my lifestyle easy onscreen. I’m very much connected with my fans on social media and they are happy with it and respect my privacy. So being papped can be a trend among celebrities, but it is not my cup of tea.”
