Prince Harry heard about King Charles’ prostate diagnosis from news alert: report

Prince Harry found out about King Charles’ prostate diagnosis from the media rather than Buckingham Palace, according to a report.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, was briefed on his father’s upcoming medical procedure, set to take place next week, in a message that reached him only after he had already read about the news online, sources told the Telegraph.

Insiders said while the palace made an effort to inform all senior members of the royal family, including Harry, the private message reached Harry after the public announcement.

Buckingham Palace announced Charles’ diagnosis at 3:25 p.m. UK time on Wednesday, which was 7:25 a.m. in California, where the Duke resides with his wife Meghan Markle, and their two children.

The Post has reached out to Harry’s reps and Buckingham Palace for comment.

An official announcement from the Palace said that the king, 75, is set to undergo a “corrective procedure” for an enlarged prostate next week.

The statement came less than an hour after Kensington Palace revealed that Kate Middleton, 42, had a planned abdominal surgery this week.

The Princess of Wales was expected to remain in the hospital for 10 to 14 days and has postponed all engagements until after Easter.

The monarch’s former royal butler, Grant Harrold, exclusively told The Post Wednesday that Prince William is no doubt feeling “anxious” that both his wife and father are sitting out of royal engagements amid their respective medical procedures.

Harrold said that Middleton being out of action for the next few months will have a “huge impact” on the royal family behind closed doors.

Harry and Meghan have remained silent since news of the royal family’s health woes.

Instead, Harry rubbed shoulders with the Hollywood elite at a star-studded event Friday night where he was inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame.

The father-of-two, who this week withdrew his libel case against the Mail on Sunday, was named a “living legend” before being honored for his time as a helicopter co-pilot in the British Army at the Beverly Hills soiree, which he attended solo.

After taking to the stage to receive his award from John Travolta, Harry recalled the actor’s picture-perfect moment in 1985 when he danced with Diana at President Ronald Reagan’s White House dinner.

“I was just a 1-year-old when you danced with my mom at the White House and now look at us,” Harry told Travolta.

“The only thing left to do is… not dance together but fly together,” he added.

Travolta, who is the “official ambassador of aviation” and a former pilot himself, was reportedly the one who pushed for the exiled royal to be recognized for his stint in the Army.

After presenting Harry with a medal, Travolta asked him, “What can you remember about your first flight?”

“It’s classified,” Harry quipped.

Royal family wears blue in first Easter since Queen Elizabeth’s death

Something blue.

King Charles and his family were spotted Sunday wearing blue at Windsor Castle as he and several other senior members of the royal family attended the first Easter church service since Queen Elizabeth’s passing in September.

Alongside Charles, 74, stood Queen Consort Camila, 75, and behind them walked the future king’s sister Princess Anne and brother, disgraced royal Prince Andrew, reports The Independent.

Prince Edward and his family trailed the senior royals followed by Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Bringing up the rear of the group were Princess Eugenie — who is pregnant — and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

The service was held at the 15th-century Windsor Castle which served as the final resting place for Charles’ mother and father as well as his grandparents.

In September, the Royal family revealed a new ledger stone was placed on the tomb.

“A ledger stone has been installed at the King George VI Memorial Chapel, following the interment of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth,” reads a tweet alongside a photo. “The King George VI Memorial Chapel sits within the walls of St George’s Chapel, Windsor.”

This is also Charles’ first service as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

The Easter service comes as Charles and Camila prepare for their coronation on May 6.

In the past, the then-Prince Charles issued a statement to the country — last year’s addressed the millions of displaced people “wounded by the past, fearful of the future,” however, the king has yet to release one as a reflection of his new station.

Keeping with his mother’s tradition, the future king and queen handed out Maundy money to 74 men and women as thanks for their outstanding Christian service.

The family outing comes after a brand new revelation that King Charles refused to put Meghan Markel on the royal family’s payroll.

Royal correspondent Robert Jobson made the revelation in his new book “Our King.”

Jobson claims the then-prince made the jab in 2016 when Harry announced his intention to marry the “Suits” star.

According to Jobson, Charles said he couldn’t bankroll Markel, 41, since he was already paying for Camila and William’s growing family.

“This infuriated Harry,” wrote Jobson, “When the Queen asked Charles why he hadn’t given in, he told her that he wasn’t a bank.”

Jobson theorized this was the inciting incident that led to Harry and Meghan leaving the royal family.

Prince George, Charlotte and Louis’ roles in King Charles’ coronation revealed

Prince William’s children are expected to take part in the King’s coronation, according to a report.

Leaked plans show that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will have formal roles in the procession at Westminster Abbey on May 6, The Times reports.

The children will join King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla at the end of the ceremony, however, Kensington Palace has yet to confirm the report.

Plans seen by the outlet show that George, 9, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 5, are set to join their parents Prince William and Kate Middleton in a carriage behind a Gold State Coach transporting the King and Queen.

It’s believed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have not been invited to attend the event.

According to leaked plans, neither the Duke and Duchess of Sussex nor Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, will take part in the procession.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will also be sitting out the procession, plans reveal.

Kensington Palace declined to comment.

While Buckingham Palace has remained tight-lipped about the upcoming extravaganza, it did tease that the crowning will be a scaled-back affair.

The 74-year-old’s coronation will “reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future while being rooted in long-standing traditions and pageantry,” Buckingham Palace has previously said.

“The King asked for it to be more modest,” Royal author Hugo Vickers told the outlet. “This is a greatly pared-down procession.”

The royal trio will reportedly join their grandfather and Queen Consort Camilla after the ceremony.

The procession is set to be a third of the size Queen Elizabeth’s 1953 coronation was.

King Charles, who was just four when his late mother was crowned aged 25, attended just parts of the three-hour-long service and did not have a formal role on the big day.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — who recently received their invitations to the May ceremony — are still mulling over whether or not they will make the 5,459-mile-long trip.

If they do go, the exiled royals will be met with a “cold shoulder” from senior members of the royal family, according to a report.

In January, Harry sensationally refused to commit to attending the event, saying “there’s a lot to be discussed” before he can make that decision.

“There’s a lot that can happen between now and then,” he said in an interview. “But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court.”

Prince Harry’s ’60 Minutes’ interview: Best moments

From psychedelic drug trips to wicked stepmothers, Prince Harry continued dishing royal family secrets and scandals Sunday on “60 Minutes.”

All week, Harry, 38, has been on a hype-heavy promotional tour for his book, “Spare,” which is filled with details such as Harry calling Prince William’s hair loss “alarming,” and Meghan Markle visiting Princess Diana’s grave to ask for “clarity.”

Appearing on the legendary CBS news juggernaut Sunday Night, Harry continued dropping bombshells on interviewer Anderson Cooper, 55.

Here are the biggest blockbuster moments from the tell-all interview, from Harry’s “nasty” fight with Prince William, to blasting stepmother/consort Camilla, and more.

William ignored Harry in school

Prince Harry fired shots at his brother Prince William right out of the gate. Anderson Cooper questioned Harry about how William didn’t talk to him while they attended school together, according to his book.

“At the time it hurt,” said Harry. “I couldn’t make sense of it. I was like, ‘What do you mean? We’re now at the same school. Like, I haven’t seen you for ages, now we get to hang out together.’ He’s like, ‘No, no, no, when we’re at school we don’t know each other.’ And I took that personally.”

Icky ‘wet hands’ for Princess Diana

Harry talked about his walk with William to greet mourners outside of Kensington Palace following Princess Diana’s death.

When Cooper asked what he thinks when he watches the video footage now, Harry said, “I think it’s bizarre, because I see William and me smiling. I remember the guilt that I felt… people that we were meeting were showing more emotion than we were showing… I talk about how wet people’s hands were.”

He explained that he couldn’t understand why people’s hands were damp — but it was from wiping their own tears.

“I do remember one of the strangest parts to it was taking flowers from people and then placing those flowers with the rest of them,” Harry said, looking a tad squeamish. “As if I was some sort of middle person for their grief. And that really stood out for me.”

He also said that he cried for the first time when Diana’s coffin went into the ground. “There was never another time,” he said.

He thought Diana wasn’t really dead

Harry went into detail about his mother’s death in a famous 1997 car crash, and his reaction to it. “For a long time, I just refused to accept that she was gone. She would never do this to us, but also part of, maybe this is all part of a plan,” said Harry. “Then that she would call us and that we would go and join her, yeah.”

Harry said that William had “similar thoughts” and he held onto this belief for “years.” But when he was 20, he asked to see the police report about the crash that killed his mother, in order to have “proof.”

“Proof that she was in the car. Proof that she was injured. And proof that the very paparazzi that chased her into the tunnel were the ones that were taking photographs —photographs of her lying half dead on the back seat of the car,” he said.

He doesn’t have all the answers about Di’s death

When Cooper asked Harry if he feels that he’s gotten all of the answers about what really happened when Princess Diana died in a tunnel in Paris, Harry said, “Truth be known, no. I don’t think I do. And I don’t think my brother does, either.

I don’t think the world does.”

Drinking and drugs

Cooper questioned Harry about his use of pot and cocaine in the past. Harry said he did it in the years following his mother’s death, as a response.

“I resorted to drinking heavily. Because I wanted to numb the feeling, or I wanted to distract myself from how…whatever I was thinking. And I would, you know, resort to drugs as well,” he said.

He also said that he thinks using as psychedelics, Ayahuasca, psilocybin, mushrooms, helped him.

“They cleared away this idea that I had in my head that I needed to cry to prove to my mother that I missed her. When in fact, all she wanted was for me to be happy.”

Although he wasn’t specific about the timeline of his drug use, he said that his destructive behavior changed because of Meghan Markle. “Rather than getting drunk, falling out of clubs, taking drugs, I had now found the love of my life, and I now had the opportunity to start a family with her.”

Camilla the villain

Harry wrote in his book that he and William directly asked Charles not to marry Camilla. In his “60 Minutes” interview, he continued to blast her.

“We didn’t think it was necessary,” he said. “We thought that it was gonna cause more harm than good.”

He also said that her need to rehabilitate her image from a “villain” in the British press made her “dangerous” because of the connections that she was making with the tabolids.

“And there was open willingness on both sides to trade of information. And with a family built on hierarchy, and with her, on the way to being Queen consort, there was gonna be people or bodies left in the street because of that.”

Harry felt that he was one of these “bodies,” he said, writing in his book, “Camilla sacrified me on her personal P.R. altar.”

Instant mistrust of Meghan Markle

In his book, Harry writes that when he introduced Markle to the Royal family in 2016, his father initially liked her but William was skeptical and called her “an American actress,” disdainfully.

Harry said this distrust started off, “Right from the beginning, before they even had a chance to get to know her.  And the U.K. press jumped on that. And here we are…The fact that she was American, an actress, divorced, Black, biracial with a Black mother. Those were just four of the typical stereotypes that is– becomes a feeding frenzy for the British press.”

The royals read the tabloids

Harry said that part of his family’s mistrust in Markle was because they read the press themselves. “My family read the tabloids, you know? It’s laid out at breakfast when everyone comes together,” he said. “So, whether you walk around saying you believe it or not, it’s still leaving an imprint in your mind. So, if you have that judgment based on a stereotype right at the beginning, it’s very, very hard to get over that.”

William and Charles were “furious” about Harry’s statement supporting Markle

In 2016, shortly after Harry’s relationship with Meghan became public, he put out a statement condemning what he saw as the racist way the press treated her. But his dad and brother weren’t happy, he said.

“They felt as though it made them look bad. They felt as though they didn’t have a chance or weren’t able to do that for their partners. What Meghan had to go through was similar in some part to what Kate and what Camilla went through, very different circumstances.”

Markle’s race made her situation different, which is family couldn’t understand, he said.

“I went into this incredibly naïve. I had no idea the British press were so bigoted. Hell, I was probably bigoted before the relationship with with Meghan.”

The “nasty” physical fight with William

In his book, Harry alleges that his tension with William about Markle led to a physical altercation in 2019. He elaborated to Cooper that Willam shoved him and he landed on a dog bowl, cutting his back.

“It was at a time where he was being told certain things by people within his office. And at the same time, he was consuming a lot of the tabloid press, a lot of the stories. And he had a few issues, which were based not on reality,” said Harry. “And I was defending my wife. And he was coming for my wife…through the things that he was saying.”

He didn’t specify what William said about Markle. “We moved from one room into the kitchen. And his frustrations were growing, and growing, and growing. He was shouting at me. I was shouting back at him. It wasn’t nice. It wasn’t pleasant at all. And he snapped. And he pushed me to the floor.”

Harry said that William apologized afterwards, but it was a “nasty” experience. “He knocked me over. I landed on the dog bowl. I cut my back.”

William asked Harry not to tell anyone, he said, but Markle noticed the cut on his back.

When Cooper asked Harry if he and William speak or text, Harry said, “Currently, no. But I look forward to us being able to find peace.”

King Charles to Diana after Harry’s birth: ‘My work is done’

Sparing no drama.

Prince Harry reportedly claims in his memoir, “Spare,” that King Charles III told Princess Diana that his work was “done” right after their second child’s 1984 birth.

According to The Guardian’s leaked extract of the explosive book, the Duke of Sussex writes that on the day he was born, his dad celebrated the “wonderful” news by telling Diana, “Now you’ve given me an heir and a spare — my work is done.”

The alleged quote refers to the British royal family’s line of succession, with Charles’ eldest son, Prince William, being first in line to the throne and therefore the “heir apparent.”

Meanwhile, his second-born son, Harry, has been labeled the “spare.”

Now that William has married Kate Middleton and welcomed three children — Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4 — Harry is now fifth in line to the throne.

The former military pilot’s long-awaited memoir has stirred up much drama for the royal family ahead of its Jan. 10 release, with Harry making several bombshell claims about his kin.

The duke alleges his father called him a “spare” on the day he was born.

Page Six exclusively reported on Wednesday that Harry accuses William and Kate, both 40, of playing a part in his infamous decision to wear a Nazi uniform to a costume party in 2005.

Harry’s anti-Semitic outfit caused serious backlash for the royal, who said in last month’s “Harry & Meghan” docuseries that it was one of the “biggest mistakes” of his life.

Harry does not hold back in his upcoming memoir, “Spare.”

In addition to calling William his “beloved brother and archnemesis” in the impending book, Harry also alleges that William physically attacked him after getting into a heated argument over his wife, Meghan Markle, in 2019.

William described the “Suits” alum as “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive” during the Nottingham Cottage incident, The Guardian reported Wednesday.

The Prince of Wales allegedly lunged at his brother “so fast” amid the argument, with Harry writing, “He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.”

“I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me,” he adds. “I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back as senior royals in 2020 and have since moved to California with son Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet, 1. Since their exit, tensions have been high between Harry and his brother, as well as with Charles.

His relationship with William and Charles has been rocky since quitting the royal family in 2020.

The leader of the Commonwealth, 74, reportedly wants to make amends with his youngest son.

“Those close to the king insist that he has always made clear how much he loves both of his sons, keeping communication channels open throughout the last few years, despite the many barbs from California,” sources recently told the Telegraph.

The insiders noted that Harry’s relationship with Charles has “occasionally been tense,” but the monarch has “reiterated that his door remains open and that the duke and [Meghan Markle] are welcome at any time.”

Harry and the former actress, 41, are reportedly invited to King Charles’ coronation but the duke has declined to confirm their attendance.

Prince Harry refuses to commit to attending King Charles’ coronation

Prince Harry has sensationally refused to commit to attending his father’s historic coronation in May.

In a second trailer of his upcoming bombshell interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby, the Duke of Sussex said “there’s a lot to be discussed” before he can make that decision.

“There’s a lot that can happen between now and then,” Harry said. “But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court.”

“There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it,” he added.

When asked about his brother’s reaction to his constant — and high-profile — bashing of the firm since quitting royal duties in 2020, Harry responded, “He’d probably say all sorts of different things.”

“I don’t know that staying silent is ever going to make things better,” he added.

The clip was shared hours after The Guardian published an extract from Harry’s upcoming memoir “Spare” in which he alleges that he was left battered and bruised when Prince William tossed him to the floor in a bitter fight two months before he and Meghan Markle left the royal family.

King Charles’ coronation is set to take place in May later this year.

The now-Prince of Wales wanted to speak with his brother about “the whole rolling catastrophe” of their relationship and struggles with the press, which he pointedly blamed on his brother’s new wife Markle, Harry wrote in the memoir to be released Jan. 10.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle demand royal summit, apology

They are making a royal fuss about it.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle demanded Saturday to have a royal summit with the entire British Royal family and push for an apology regarding the alleged treatment at their hands, reports The Sunday Times.

Following their bombshell Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan” — which dropped numerous bombshells — the former royals said they want to “sit down with the royal family”  and address their grievances.

“Nothing like that was ever done when Harry and Meghan raised various concerns — no meeting, formal apology or taking responsibility or accountability,” a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said. “That is hard to swallow — 100% yes they’d like to have a meeting.”

According to palace insiders, the former royals are attempting to reconcile with King Charles and the rest of the family ahead of his coronation in May — which Harry and Meghan are expected to attend.

Sources close to Prince William say that the Prince of Wales has no plans to speak to his brother.

“Things have been very strained for a while,” said the source. “There is sadness at where things currently are with his brother … and there’s a memoir coming.”

Buckingham Palace has yet to issue a response to the claims made in the duo’s Netflix docuseries.

Netflix Releases Trailer for Six-Part Docuseries on Prince Harry, Meghan

Netflix on Thursday unveiled a long-awaited trailer for a six-part docuseries in which Prince Harry and wife Meghan lift the lid on their lives in the royal family.

Omid Scobie, a close friend and biographer of the couple, tweeted that the series would be aired on December 8, adding it will share “the other side of their love story and the challenges they faced”.

The announcement coincides with Prince Harry’s elder brother Prince William’s first trip to the United States as Prince of Wales and another race row within the family back home.

Prince William — the heir to the throne — has been forced to part ways with one of his godmothers after she used racially charged language to a black British woman at a palace reception on Tuesday.

Prince Harry and Meghan, a mixed-race former television actress, cited racism in the royal household as one of the reasons for their acrimonious departure almost three years ago.

Royal insiders described Prince William’s visit to Boston to present his annual climate change awards to innovators on Friday as his “Superbowl moment”.

But Scobie tweeted that “if tomorrow is Prince William’s Super Bowl, then here’s your Halftime Show” as he shared the trailer.

“With commentary from friends, family, and historians discussing the state of the British Commonwealth today (and the Royal Family’s relationship with the press), the Netflix series aims to ‘paint a picture of our world and how we treat each other’,” he added.

The family will be braced for more revelations from the docuseries and Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare, which is due out in January.

The minute-long trailer, posted on Twitter, features intimate photographs of the couple, interspersed with a clip of Prince Harry saying, “No one sees what’s going on behind closed doors” and images of Meghan wiping her eyes.

How William & Kate will use US visit as nod to Princess Diana

It’s been eight years since Prince William and Princess Kate stepped onto American shores.

The last time they were in the States, on a visit to NYC back in December 2014, Prince William was not even a full-time working royal.

His brother, Prince Harry, was still single and his future bride Meghan Markle was merely an actress on “Suits.”

But as William and Kate — the new Prince and Princess of Wales since Queen Elizabeth’s September 8 death and Prince Charles becoming king — arrive in Boston Wednesday to present the Earthshot Prize, it’s with a clear mission to show how much things have changed. And to claim the crown of the royal family’s No. 1 couple.

Although palace sources are keen to stress that the Waleses’ US visit is not an official tour, there’s a lot riding on the three-day trip — particularly as Harry and Meghan will jet to NYC on December 6, just four days after Kate and William leave the States, to pick up the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope award.

One well-placed royal insider told Page Six that the brothers’ opposite missions underscore a big point: “It’s not bad to receive an award, but it shows the fundamental difference between [William and Kate] — who have constitutional roles, who are working on behalf of others — versus being a celebrity.

For a South African state banquet at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, Kate Middleton wore the Lover’s Knot tiara — said to have been Princess Diana’s favorite.
MEGA

“They were always famous, but now they’re reached a different stage in their public lives — they’re different types of figures.”

Harry and Meghan are receiving the Kennedy honor for what Kerry Kennedy, the daughter of RFK, said exemplified “moral courage” against injustice.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 tarnished the royal family as the couple painted a grim picture of their time behind palace walls, even going as far to accuse senior royals of racism.

The Waleses, seen here with Queen Consort Camilla, plan to downplay their celebrity.

“We’re very much not a racist family,” William blasted in reply.

The Boston visit is a photo opportunity for Kate, 40, to publicly connect herself further with the last Princess of Wales: her late mother-in-law, Diana, who made a huge impression on the United States with her humanitarian visits.

It’s a “real opportunity for a big wow moment,” said Bethan Holt, Fashion Director of the Telegraph and author of several books on royal fashion.

“If anyone can combine talking about something very seriously with delivering this huge boost of glamour and royalty it’s William and Kate,” Holt told Page Six. “This is a big chance for the British segment of the royal family to make a big splash and remind everyone why they are loved and to re-establish that connection.”

Meghan and Harry, meanwhile, will be accepting the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope award on Dec. 6.

For a South African state banquet at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, Kate wore the Lover’s Knot tiara — a diamond-and-pearl number said to have been Diana’s favorite. The late princess was photographed in it many times.

Kate, and William, 40, will also be following in his mother’s footsteps by reaching out to underrepresented communities, just as Diana did on her 1989 NYC trip when she visited young AIDS patients in Harlem.

“The Prince and Princess didn’t want to come in for the awards show and then leave, they wanted to spend time getting to know communities in Boston,” said a source close to the couple.

Princess Diana was known for her emotional humanitarian visits in the US, including this 1996 trip to Chicago’s Cook County Hospital.

There’s also an interesting sibling tie with the royals’ East Coast visits. While Harry is receiving an award from a foundation affiliated with RFK, the prince’s older brother has chosen to align himself with the assassinated politician’s older brother.

William was inspired to choose Boston for Friday’s star-studded awards ceremony by John F. Kennedy and his ambitious 1962 “Moon Shot” speech.

“I am so excited to celebrate these fifteen finalists and see the five winners of the Earthshot Prize announced in Boston — the hometown of President John F. Kennedy, who shared The Earthshot Prize’s belief that seemingly impossible goals are within reach if we only harness the limitless power of innovation, human ingenuity, and urgent optimism,” William has said.

During Diana’s 1989 NYC trip, she visited Henry Street Settlement, a social services agency for the underprivileged.

“The Earthshot Prize is the Prince of Wales’ Super Bowl moment — and he wants to use the platform in a positive, optimistic way to shine a way on climate change and the environment,” said the source close to the Waleses.

The award, which will honor five visionaries with a $1.2 million prize for creative solutions to global environmental problems, is William’s brainchild.

“This all started for Prince William back in 2018 to make a bigger impact on climate change and wider issues including nature and air quality,” a palace source told Page Six.

“If anyone can combine talking about something very seriously with delivering this huge boost of glamour and royalty it’s William and Kate,” said fashion expert Bethan Holt.
James Whatling / MEGA

“People accepted the science getting pretty gloomy … [but] there is great work around the world from people who need to make their solutions famous and we want to demand their companies and governments get behind these innovators.”

Four days after the Waleses leave the US, Harry and Meghan will accept an award at the Ripple of Hope gala, in Manhattan, for speaking out against the royal family. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also receiving the award.

Kerry Kennedy told Spanish online news site El Confidencial of the Sussexes: “They went to the oldest institution in UK history and told them what they were doing wrong, that they couldn’t have structural racism within the institution; that they could not maintain a misunderstanding about mental health,” she continued, referring to Oprah Winfrey interview and the British monarchy.

Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docu-series is set to launch in early December, followed by the prince’s tell-all memoir, “Spare,” on January 10.

“They knew that if they did this there would be consequences, that they would be ostracized, they would lose their family, their position within this structure, and that people would blame them for it. They have done it anyway because they believed they couldn’t live with themselves if they didn’t question this authority. I think they have been heroic in taking this step.”

But Kennedy’s words came under fire by Piers Morgan, who said on “Fox and Friends”: “I think it’s absolutely disgusting and shame on Kerry Kennedy, frankly, for besmirching the name and memory of her father in this way.” Kerry’s own brother Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has said he was “bewildered” and “baffled” by the choice of the Sussexes for the award.

The Earthshot awards ceremony will air on PBS on December 5. Days later, the Sussexes’ Netflix docu-series is set to launch, swiftly followed by Harry’s tell-all memoir, “Spare,” which promises “raw, unflinching honesty” when it is published on January 10.

Meanwhile, the close Wales source said, “The Prince and Princess of Wales will be focused on getting on with the job at hand. They are not going to be distracted.”

Added the well-placed royal source, “Look, everyone wants Harry and Meghan to be happy and focus on the future — you have a beautiful family, it’s time to get on with it.

“For the Prince and Princess of Wales, their belief is ‘Life’s too short and there’s too much to do’. You get on with your lives and your work without having to worry about any games from anyone else.”

Prince Harry making amends with royal family was one of Queen’s ‘wishes’

Queen Elizabeth II never gave up hope that Prince Harry would reconcile with his family.

“The Queen adored Harry right to the end, and Harry adored her,” royal author Robert Hardman told People in an article published on Friday. “I think she was one of the conduits between Windsor and California and it would have been one of her dearest wishes that they patch things up.”

As many know, Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have been distant from the family since they announced in January 2020 that they no longer wanted to be working royals. They went on to settle in Montecito, Calif.

Harry’s frayed relationship with his family hit a new low in March 2021 when he and Markle sat down for an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. In it, Harry, 38, criticized the way his father raised him and expressed pity that his father and brother, Prince William, were “trapped” in their royal roles.

In the same interview, Markle tearfully claimed that she had contemplated suicide while pregnant with their son, Archie, due to the pressure of dealing with life as a royal and her treatment at the hands of the British media.

The Duchess says she went to a senior member of the Palace for help and was rebuffed.

The “Suits” alum, 41, also recently gave another controversial interview in which she claimed that “just by existing,” she and Harry were “upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had been in Europe for several charitable events when Queen Elizabeth died at age 96 on Sept. 8. The California-based couple stayed in the U.K. for the ceremonies that proceeded and flew out the day after the funeral.

Royal watchers had hoped the days between the Queen’s death and her funeral would help heal fractured relationships.

They were thrilled when the estranged brothers, along with their wives, greeted crowds gathered outside Windsor Castle, two days after the Queen’s passing.

But several missteps seemed to have perhaps put a damper on any détente.

Harry was distraught when the military uniform he was allowed to wear to stand vigil by his grandmother’s casket had her initials removed.

“He is heartbroken,” a friend told the Sunday Times of London. “To remove his grandmother’s initials feels very intentional.”

So “devastated” was he, the friend said, that the prince nearly donned a morning suit to avoid the “humiliation.”

The Duke and Duchess were also invited and then “uninvited” from a state reception for world leaders and foreign royals. Page Six exclusively reported that they learned of the disinvite after reading press reports.

The couple was also snubbed in the seating arrangement at the funeral, where they did not sit in the front row with the King and William, 40, but rather in the corner of the second row next to his cousin, Princess Beatrice.

“You’d think that all members of the family would unite and support the King, especially,” a source close to King Charles said. “Perhaps some wounds can be healed in the process.”

“She knew that conflicts were a part of life, and she didn’t hold grudges. Most of all, she wanted to see her family happy,” the insider added.
