Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd sued for wrongful termination by TomTom bartenders

Lisa Vanderpump and her husband, Ken Todd, are being sued for wrongful termination by former bartenders of TomTom Restaurant & Bar, one of their establishments in West Hollywood, Calif.

According to documents obtained by The Blast on Thursday, the employees — who worked for the couple from May to December 2022 — claim that they were terminated in retaliation for complaining about unsavory working conditions.

One former employee further claims that Vanderpump, 63, and Todd, 78 — whose Los Angeles restaurant portfolio also includes SUR and Pump — “blacklisted him by defaming him to future employers.”

This individual even alleges that the pair — who tied the knot in August 1982 — “[published] false statements and comments to numerous third parties” regarding his “profession, reputation and character.”

News of the legal filing comes just weeks before the Season 11 premiere, the show’s first since Sandoval’s cheating scandal — dubbed “Scandoval” by viewers — rocked the world of pop culture.

More of the aftermath of his secret affair with castmate Rachel “Raquel” Leviss and its devastating impact on now-ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix will be explored in the next “VPR” installment.

“Vanderpump Rules” Season 11 premieres Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.

Robert De Niro’s ex-assistant wins $1.2M in gender discrimination trial

Robert De Niro’s company Canal Productions was found liable for gender discrimination and retaliation against his former longtime personal assistant, Graham Chase Robinson, in the pair’s civil trial.

A jury in New York City federal court reached the decision Thursday after nearly five hours of deliberations and ordered Canal — which the actor formed to look after his business and personal needs — to pay Robinson, 41, more than $1.26 million in damages.

De Niro, 80, is to make the payments in two installments of $632,142, according to the Associated Press.

However, the four-woman, three-man jury found him not personally liable.

Additionally, Deadline reported that Robinson was cleared of any financial wrongdoing in her 11 years as an employee for the Oscar winner.

Canal Productions was ordered to pay Graham Chase Robinson more than $1.26 million in damages.

Per the outlet, De Niro was not present for the hearing, but Robinson was. She reportedly hugged one of her attorneys upon hearing the verdict.

“We’re thrilled with the verdict. Couldn’t be happier. She’s been totally vindicated,” a member of her team told reporters outside the courthouse as Robinson smiled through tears.

Another one of her lawyers told People in a statement, “We are delighted that the jury saw what we saw and returned a verdict in Chase Robinson’s favor against Robert De Niro’s company Canal Productions.

“Not only did Ms. Robinson win her case against Canal, but the jury completely vindicated Ms. Robinson by finding De Niro’s claims against her to be without merit.”

During the two-week trial, the “Goodfellas” star admitted on the stand that he “berated” Robinson and likely called her “petulant,” “snippy” and a “f—king spoiled brat,” but he denied screaming at her.

“I’ve raised my voice,” he explained. “I don’t yell. You wanna dispute that? That’s one thing I don’t do.”

However, the “Godfather Part II” star raised his voice several times throughout his testimony, including when he called Robinson out after he was accused of not paying her fairly compared to another male staffer.

“We’re thrilled with the verdict. Couldn’t be happier. She’s been totally vindicated,” one of Robinson’s attorneys said.

“Every little thing she’s trying to get me on is nonsense!” he exclaimed. “Shame on you, Chase Robinson.”

He went on to dismiss other allegations of gender-based discrimination as “ridiculous.”

De Niro also conceded that his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, “might have been saying” disrespectful things about Robinson, but he implied it was acceptable because Robinson was being disrespectful first.

Robinson began working at Canal in 2008 and acted as the vice president of production and finance — which allowed her to sign off on grand expenses without approval — before she abruptly left the company in April 2019.

Canal then filed a $3 million lawsuit against her that August for allegedly misusing and misappropriating funds.

Two months later, Robinson returned the favor with a $12 million lawsuit citing workplace and sexual harassment as well as sexism.

Man who sued Gwyneth Paltrow says ski crash case was not worth it

The retired optometrist, who unsuccessfully sued Gwyneth Paltrow over a 2016 Utah ski crash, said filing the lawsuit was simply not worth it.

Terry Sanderson, 76, said he shouldn’t have bothered pursuing legal action against the Goop founder, telling reporters outside the courtroom that he was “very disappointed” to lose the case.

When asked if the lawsuit was worth it, Sanderson responded with a clear-cut, “Absolutely not.”

This was perhaps after personal details from his private life, medical history, and testimonies from his daughters and ex-girlfriend were aired out in the courtroom.

“Knowing that now, no,” he said, according to a video from Extra. “I joked about dating sites, right? It’s like, I’m gonna be on the internet forever.”

Sanderson previously said the lawsuit means he can now “never go on another dating site again. It’s the pain of trying to sue a celebrity.”

The doctor sued Paltrow in 2019 for $3.1 million, claiming the crash at the Deer Valley ski resort left him brain-impaired and damaged his relationships with others.

After a judge dismissed his initial complaint, Sanderson refiled for $300,000.

Paltrow countersued for $1 — plus her likely six-figure legal fees — which the jury awarded her as they agreed the actress was not liable for the crash.

The actress, 50, smiled and waved at photographers outside the court, capping a wild eight-day trial that grabbed international headlines for everything from the Oscar winner’s Jeffrey Dahmer-style glasses to her off-the-wall remarks.

As Judge Kent Holmberg delivered the verdict Thursday, the Oscar winner maintained her composure before letting a subtle smile poke through.

“We’re pleased with the outcome and appreciate the judge and jury’s consideration,” Paltrow’s attorney, Steven Owens, said in a statement outside the courtroom.

“Gwyneth has a history of standing up for what’s right and this situation is no different. She will continue to stand up for what’s right,” he added.

A statement was also released by Paltrow’s representatives on her behalf.

“I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity,” Paltrow said. “I am pleased with the outcome and I appreciate all of the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury, and thank them for their thoughtfulness in handling this case.”

Meghan Markle wins defamation lawsuit against Samantha Markle

Meghan Markle has won the defamation lawsuit brought forward by her half-sister, Samantha Markle.

Samantha Markle, 58, sued the Duchess of Sussex in federal court in Florida for allegedly making “demonstrably false and malicious statements” about her to a world audience during her and Prince Harry’s bombshell March 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Samantha filed the $75,000 lawsuit after Meghan told Oprah that she grew up as an only child.

The comments subjected Samantha to “humiliation and hatred,” she claimed.

But on Thursday, a Florida judge didn’t see it that way and dismissed the lawsuit, saying Meghan’s remarks were opinions and “not capable of being proved false.”

“As a reasonable listener would understand it, Defendant merely expresses an opinion about her childhood and her relationship with her half-siblings,” US District Judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell wrote in her order.

“Thus, the Court finds that Defendant’s statement is not objectively verifiable or subject to empirical proof. Plaintiff cannot plausibly disprove Defendant’s opinion of her own childhood.”

Samantha, who shares a dad with the exiled royal, claimed Meghan “orchestrated the campaign to defame and destroy her sister’s and her father’s reputation and credibility in order to preserve and promote the false ‘rags-to-royalty’ narrative [Meghan] had fabricated about her life to the Royal Family and the worldwide media.”

Samantha’s lawyer Peter Ticktin told the court that Meghan got caught in a lie about her upbringing and decided to slam her half-sister and estranged father to cover it up, according to the Daily Mail.

“Why else is she putting her sister down? Why else is she putting her father down? Why else is she denying her family who has done nothing but good to her all her life?” Ticktin said. “She never had a problem with them at all.”

He said the “false narrative” put out by Meghan harmed his client.

Samantha also wanted Meghan to take back allegations she made against the royal family by claiming “Queen Elizabeth was not a racist” and “King Charles is not a racist.”

Meghan’s lawyer, Michael Kump, however, said Samantha had no grounds to sue for defamation.

He said the claims made by Samantha and her lawyer were “quite frankly offensive to my client” and demanded the case be dismissed.

“Not every perceived slight ought to be litigated and that’s true here,” he said last month. “Plaintiff is taking issue with Meghan’s own impressions of her own childhood growing up but that’s not a proper subject matter for a court of law.”

He added that the duchess and former “Suits” star has a right to voice opinions “and even criticize” under the First Amendment.

The estranged half-sisters had been at odds for years before the famous 2021 Oprah interview.

Meghan has repeatedly accused Samantha and their father Thomas of selling stories to the British tabloids.

For her part, Samantha has continued to fire shots at the duchess and brother-in-law Prince Harry as the couple continues putting out documentaries and memories.

Last month, she accused the Duke of Sussex of being “emotionally underdeveloped.”

“I don’t think he can think like an adult because I don’t think emotionally he is one,” she added.

Landlord sues Cowboys’ Trevon Diggs for up to $250K over rent

Trevon Diggs, a star cornerback on the Cowboys, has been sued by a former landlord for a total “up to” $250,000 over unpaid rent and property damage.

WFAA reports that landlord Rose Marie Yadegar sued Diggs in Denton County, Texas, stating that the defensive back entered into a one-year lease in March of 2022 for $5,500 a month. Diggs is accused of only paying the first month on time.

The landlord claimed Diggs owes $33,500 in past due rent plus late fees, $3,400 in repairs, as well as carpet cleaning and lawn maintenance fees.

Diggs was evicted in July but the landlord has not found a new tenant for the property. The landlord is claiming Diggs also owes $2,500 in eviction fees, and $11,000 for the final two months of the lease.

Diggs’ attorney, Scott Becker, told the outlet that the lawsuit came as “a bit of a surprise” to his client.

“This appears to stem from some misunderstanding or miscommunication going on with this rental property that ended sometime last year,” Becker said.

Becker attributed the circumstances to acquaintances of Diggs, not the cornerback himself.

“He thought this matter was completely resolved,” Becker said. “So, to have this situation arise out of the blue was a bit of a shock to him … We certainly feel badly for her if that’s the case that there’s damage to the property. My client didn’t cause that damage and we look forward to working it out with her … [When you are successful], you become a target for things and that may be happening here.”

The 24-year-old Diggs was selected by the Cowboys in the second round of the 2020 Draft. He has been a Pro Bowler each of the last two seasons; in 2021, he was a first-team All-Pro and led the NFL with 11 interceptions.

Yung Gravy sued by Rick Astley over ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ voice rip off

It’s not all gravy, baby.

Yung Gravy is reportedly being sued by “Never Gonna Give You Up” hitmaker Rick Astley over the up-and-coming rapper’s track “Betty (Get Money).”

Astley reportedly claims Gravy did not get permission to use or impersonate his voice.

Astley reportedly claims Gravy did not get permission to use or impersonate his voice.

According to TMZ, Astley, 56, claims 26-year-old Gravy (real name: Matthew Raymond Hauri) ripped off his vocals from his most popular song — which was released in 1987 — by using an impersonated version of his voice.

Astley — who is also suing the vocal impersonator, Nick Seeley — reportedly claims Gravy and his producers “conspired to include a deliberate and nearly indistinguishable imitation of … Astley’s voice throughout the song,” which dropped in June 2022.

Seeley, Dwilly and EDM A-lister Dillon Francis are listed as producers on “Betty (Get Money);” however, it’s unclear whether the latter two have been named as defendants.

Though Gravy did license the instrumental part of Astley’s song, the English singer-songwriter claims he did not give the rapper or anyone on his team permission to use or impersonate his voice, per TMZ.

Astley’s suit reportedly argues that Gravy admitted to playing with fire with regard to impersonating the ’80s musician, pointing to an August 2022 interview with Billboard.

“My boy Nick, who does a lot of sample replays and recreating original samples, we basically remade the whole song,” the SoundCloud sensation told the publication of getting Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” sample cleared.

Astley is reportedly seeking millions of dollars from Gravy.

“Had a different singer and instruments, but it was all really close because it makes it easier legally.”

According to TMZ, Astley claims the experience has ruined any future opportunities for him to collaborate with other artists, and he is seeking millions of dollars from Gravy.

“Never Gonna Give You Up” was released in 1987 and went on to become Astley’s most popular song.

Gravy — who made headlines last year for being in a suspected “PR relationship” with TikToker Addison Rae’s mom — had “no comment” when contacted by Page Six.

Astley’s reps did not immediately get back to us.

Aaron Hernandez’s fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez accused of mishandling daughter’s trust fund

The late Aaron Hernandez’s fiancée is in hot water for allegedly mishandling the trust fund left for the couple’s 10-year-old daughter.

Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez has been spending an exorbitant amount of her daughter’s money on questionable items, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The mother of two spent a whopping $17,000 in clothing, $10,000 in entertainment expenses and thousands in “self-case costs,” the outlet reported.

Jenkins-Hernandez spent $12,000 at HomeGoods alone, expense filings state.

Trust attorney David Schwartz began objecting to Jenkins-Hernandez’s reimbursement invoices in September after she asked for $10,000 from the trust to cover the cost of daughter Avielle’s competitive dance lessons.

instagram: shayjhernandez

Schwartz, a court-appointed lawyer, denied the request. The annual $150,000 issued to Jenkins-Hernandez to cover Avielle’s daily expenses is enough to cover her dance classes, Schwartz argued.

“Large amounts of money are spent under each category of the Accountings, with little clear identification of how these disbursements benefit Avielle,” the documents state.

“The Trustee understands that providing for Avielle includes expenses related to her household, but the expenditures from her late father’s NFL pension and Social Security benefits merit investigation for their reasonableness, if not correctness.”

Schwartz filed a request asking that Jenkins-Hernandez be removed as Avielle’s conservator, but she fired back and demanded that he be removed as the trustee.

According to Jenkins-Hernandez, Schwartz’s reimbursement rejection was keeping Avielle from her hobby.

“There is every reason to question whether and how the Conservator is applying the significant resources that should be available to pay for Avielle’s daily needs, including dance lessons, especially since all of her basic housing security and educational expenses are paid from the Trust,” Schwartz’s legal team said.

Jenkins-Hernandez gave birth to Avielle the year before Hernandez was arrested for the 2013 murder of Odin Llyod, the man dating her sister.

The former NFL player was sentenced to life in prison in 2015, but died by suicide in his cell two years later at the age of 27.

James Van Der Beek sues SiriusXM for $700K over axed podcast

James Van Der Beek has filed a lawsuit to the tune of $700K against SiriusXM/Stitcher after an alleged podcast deal made with the brands was canned.

In the court documents filed on Friday and obtained by Us Weekly and The Blast, the “Dawson’s Creek” star alleged a breach of contract based on a deal he claimed has been in the works since 2021.

According to Van Der Beek, the deal was worth a minimum of $700K with the star being paid 50% of the net ad revenue.

He went on to claim that he dismissed other offers based on their contractual agreement.

“[Van Der Beek] had other offers and potential partners to choose from in order to develop this project,” the documents read.

The “Dawson’s Creek” actor claims that the podcast deal has been in the works since 2021.
Vivien Killilea

“However, relying on the contractual agreement reached with Defendants, Plaintiff stopped negotiating with other buyers and affirmatively rejected those other offers (as well as other acting opportunities).”

The podcast was going to focus on the “Varsity Blues” actor’s career, allowing him to connect with fans of his television and film work, according to docs.

“He would serve as the podcast’s host, conduct interviews, provide commentary and behind-the-scenes insight on past work, and share the kind of unique perspective as an artist, seeker, and public figure that has become the hallmark of his social media presence.”

Not only that, but he would have also discussed being a husband and father of six. He shares daughters Olivia, 11, Annabel, 8, Emilia, 6, and Gwendolyn, 4, and sons Joshua, 10, and Jeremiah, 8 months, with wife Kimberly Van Der Beek, 40.

James further claims that, by spring 2022, the deal was “extensively negotiated, agreed upon orally and confirmed in writing in a series of phone calls and emails between Plaintiff and Defendants’ authorized representatives.”

However, SiriusXM and Stitcher allegedly emailed the “Labor Day” actor in April informing him that, while they were “ready to call terms officially closed,” someone from upper management reviewed the contract and ultimately axed the deal.

James goes on to claim that during a July Zoom call, the company officially “reneged” on the deal, citing a “new policy” in which the finance team reviews all contracts and can choose whether or not things move forward, with them deciding to “reject this deal.”

The “Varsity Blues” actor is married to Kimberly Van Der Beek.
Getty Images for A24

“This was contrary to what Defendants said during negotiations when they represented to Plaintiff that the deal terms were created in conjunction with the finance, creative and sales departments’ input and approval. This was just a pretextual excuse to renege on the deal,” the docs read.

The actor believes SiriusXM/Stitcher should still be responsible for paying him at least the expected minimum, in addition to “general and compensatory damages” and attorney fees.

“By engaging in the aforementioned conduct, Defendants breached their contract
with Plaintiff, resulting in the loss of the minimum guarantee as well as the value of using
Defendants to build a brand and audience for this particular podcast series, as well as serve as Plaintiff’s gateway into the digital/podcasting space. As a result, Plaintiff has been damaged in an amount to be determined at trial, but which shall exceed $700,000.”

A rep for SiriusXM did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Vanessa Bryant speaks out after Kobe crash photos verdict

An emotional Vanessa Bryant has spoken out after being awarded $16 million in her trial against Los Angeles County.

On Wednesday, a federal jury gave their verdict after first responders snapped and shared grisly photos of the fatal 2020 helicopter crash that killed Vanessa’s husband Kobe Bryant, their 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others.

The panel of nine jurors agreed that deputies and firefighters invaded the privacy of the NBA star’s widow and brought her emotional distress by taking photos of the remains of the LA Lakers hero and his daughter.

Hours after the verdict, Vanessa rushed to social media to celebrate the ruling.

“All for you! I love you! JUSTICE for Kobe and Gigi,” the 40-year-old wrote on Instagram alongside a snap of herself with her late husband and daughter.

“#BetOnYourself #Mambaday #Mambamentality,” added Vanessa, who is also mom to daughters Natalia, 19, Bianka, 5, and 3-year-old Capri.

Vanessa wept quietly as the verdict was read following 4.5 hours of jury deliberation, and walked out of court holding Natalia’s hand.

The jurors also awarded $15 million to plaintiff Chris Chester, who lost his wife Sarah and daughter Payton in the Calabasas, California, wreck.

Jurors unanimously found that the LA County Sheriff’s Department violated the constitutional rights of Bryant and Chester when they failed to train their employees on accident scene picture-sharing protocol.

Bryant’s attorney, Luis Li told the jury the photos were “not public and not [for] deputies to share.”

The pictures were shared mostly between employees of the LA County sheriff’s and fire departments and seen by some of their spouses.

The photos had not been made public, but Bryant, 40 testified that the prospect of the images being leaked riddled her with fear and anxiety.

“I live in fear every day of being on social media and these popping up,” she testified last week. “I live in fear of my daughters being on social media and these popping up.”

Mission NGO defends Johnny Depp amid Amber Heard allegations

A women’s abuse group voiced support for Johnny Depp Friday — joining a growing chorus of the actor’s female friends and co-stars who have defended him amid claims he physically and sexually abused ex Amber Heard.

Mission NGO, a non-profit that fights violence against women and children worldwide, expressed “compassion” for the 58-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor.

“As women, as mothers, we have the duty and the responsibility to educate our sons and daughters … without any gender distinction, in order to prevent violence,” Valeria Altobelli, the group’s president, said in a statement.

“[It is with] deep respect for the victims of domestic abuses that we have to affirm … our compassion for Johnny Depp in this bad page of his personal history.”

The group didn’t elaborate, or immediately return a request for comment Friday.

The statement came a day after music producer Bruce Witkin testified that Depp used drugs and alcohol to cope with emotional pain. Depp has previously testified that his mom, Betty Sue Palmer, physically and psychologically abused him.

On Thursday, singer Courtney Love and actress Eva Green also defended Depp as a caring person — despite Heard’s testimony that he threatened to kill her and once broke her nose in a jealous rage.

Love posted a video on Twitter describing how Depp rushed to save her from a drug overdose at a nightclub in the 90s and was sweet to her daughter, Frances Bean.

Mission NGO argued Johnny Depp needs compassion during a “bad page of his personal history.”

“I don’t really wanna make judgments publicly, but I just want to tell you that Johnny gave me CPR in 1995 when I overdosed outside the Viper Room with Sal. Johnny, when I was on crack and Frances was having to suffer through that with social workers, wrote her a four-page letter that she’s never showed me on her 13th birthday. He didn’t really know me,” she said.

Green, meanwhile, said she had no doubt Depp will “emerge” victorious in the trial.

“I have no doubt Johnny will emerge with his good name and wonderful heart revealed to the world, and life will be better than it ever was for him and his family,” Green, who starred with Depp in the 2012 fantasy “Dark Shadows,” wrote on Instagram.

Other female celebrities — including Sia, Wynona Ryder, Helena Bonham and Penélope Cruz — spoke out on Depp’s behalf during his UK libel trial in 2020.

“The idea that he is an incredibly violent person is the farthest thing from the Johnny I knew and loved,” Ryder, a former girlfriend of Depp, said in 2020. “He was never, never violent towards me. He has never been violent or abusive towards anybody I have seen.”

Cruz added, “I’ve seen Johnny in so many situations and he is always kind to everyone around. He is one of the most generous people I know,” she said.

Heard previously declared she was a “public figure representing domestic abuse,” in an opinion article published in The Washington Post in 2018.

The musician Sia also defended Depp in a tweet at the time, writing “Just showing my public support for Johnny Depp.

“I mean, I’d love him to get clean and stop with the jewellery, but he is clearly the victim after hearing those tapes.”

In the UK case, Depp sued the publisher of the UK Sun’s over a headline calling him a “wife-beater” and lost.

Mission NGO insists people must be educated about domestic violence “without any gender distinction.”
