Xiaomi 14 price in India, availability

Price of Xiaomi 14 has been set at Rs. 69,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant. It comes in Classic White, Jade Green, and Matte Black colour options and will be available for purchase via Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi’s retail partners starting March 11 at 12pm IST.

ICICI bank customers can avail Rs. 5,000 discount while making payments through their cards. Further, there is an additional exchange bonus of Rs. 5,000.

The Xiaomi 14 launched in Europe last month with a price tag of EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 90,000) for the single 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. The Chinese version has a starting price tag of CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 50,000) for the 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage variant.

During the launch event, Xiaomi also unveiled the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in India. 

Xiaomi is offering a one-time free screen replacement for the latest Xiaomi 14 series. The company has also announced a premium after-sale service called Xiaomi Priority Club for buyers of the new series and recent Xiaomi flagship phones. Users can avail of free pickup and drop service, guaranteed two hours of repair duration or a standby device, half-yearly check-ups, and priority customer support under this scheme.

Xiaomi 14 specifications

The Xiaomi 14 variant launched in India has similar specifications as the global version. The dual SIM (nano +e-SIM) phone runs on HyperOS interface based on Android 14 and features a 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED (1,200×2,670 pixels) display with 460ppi pixel density, up to 240Hz touch sampling rate, and is rated to deliver a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The screen has an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz and has HDR10+ support and gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The back panel has a 3D curved glass coating. The display also features a centrally located hole punch cutout to house the selfie shooter. It runs on a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Cameras are the key USP of Xiaomi 14. The phone features a triple rear camera unit co-engineered by Leica with a Summilux lens. It comprises a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 900 image sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), f/1.6 aperture, and 23mm equivalent focal length, a 50-megapixel 75mm floating telephoto camera with OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter with a 115-degree field of view. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Connectivity options on the Xiaomi 14 include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, NavIC, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, proximity sensor, linear motor, IR blaster, flicker sensor, and colour sensor. It packs a four-microphone array and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It has an IP68-rated build for dust and water resistance.

The Xiaomi 14 features a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The 90W HyperCharge technology is claimed to fill the battery from 0 to 100 percent in 31 minutes. It also gets 50W wireless charging that is claimed to fill the battery from zero to 100 percent in 46 minutes. The handset measures 152.8×71.5×8.20mm and weighs 193 grams.

Xiaomi 14 Amazon India Microsite Goes Live, Flipkart Availability Tipped Ahead of March 7 Launch

Xiaomi 14 is confirmed to launch in India on March 7. The company is also set to introduce the Xiaomi 14 series globally on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona. The Indian variant of the vanilla Xiaomi 14 model is said to be similar to its Chinese counterpart, which was unveiled in October 2023. The Xiaomi India site has already teased the colour options and key features of the phone. The availability of the handset in the country has now been suggested via live microsites and leaked banners.

The Amazon microsite for the Xiaomi 14 confirms the phone’s Amazon availability in India. Several reports have also shared screengrabs that suggest that the phone will also be available in India via Flipkart. At the time of writing, however, the banner was not found in the upcoming launches segment on the e-commerce site.

The landing page of the Xiaomi 14 handset on the Xiaomi India website, alongside the Amazon microsite, has revealed various key features of the phone ahead of its launch in the country. The phone is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will ship with Android 14-based HyperOS. Notably, the Xiaomi 14 alongside the Xiaomi 14 Pro in China, were the first smartphones to run the new user interface out-of-the-box.

Xiaomi 14 is also confirmed to arrive with a 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It will also have an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone is said to support Dolby Vision as well as Dolby Atmos with stereo speakers. It is also teased to launch in the country in black, green, and white shades with smooth, glossy finishes. The handset is also set to support 90W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless Turbo Charge which is claimed to charge the phone from zero to 50 in less than 10 minutes.

Xiaomi 14 India launch date has been officially confirmed. The Chinese manufacturer confirmed the launch date via a post on X. Previously, the company had teased its Leica partnership on the official Xiaomi India X page. The Xiaomi 14 series is also scheduled to launch globally on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC). Xiaomi originally unveiled the handsets in China last year in October. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is also confirmed to launch in China on February 22.

In a post on X, Xiaomi India confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 will launch in India on March 7. India will most likely get the phone a couple of weeks after its global launch, and several months after it was revealed in China. As per the teaser shared by Xiaomi, it appears that India may only get the vanilla Xiaomi 14. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the Xiaomi 14 Pro may not launch in India.

 

The Xiaomi 14, in China, is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and gets a 6.36-inch LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The Indian variant is also expected to carry similar specifications. It is likely to get up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

A 91Mobiles report citing tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) suggests that the base Xiaomi 14 model is expected to be introduced globally at the Mobile World Congress 2024 which is scheduled to take place between February 26 and February 29. The report suggests that the phone may be unveiled on February 25, and the handset may launch in India on the same day. 

Previously, the standard Xiaomi 14 model was spotted on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with the model number 23127PN0CG. The ‘G’ is speculated to represent the global variant of the Chinese counterpart. Although usually, the Indian variants carry an ‘I’ at the end, since the model was spotted on BIS, an India launch of the phone appears imminent. The phone was also spotted on the IMDA certification site as a “5G Mobile Phone with Bluetooth Wi-Fi and NFC” connectivity.

The Xiaomi 14 series smartphones feature LTPO OLED displays with up to 2K resolution and 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. They flaunt a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup. Both phones feature up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Both Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14 price

Xiaomi 14 Pro price starts at CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 56,500) for the 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage model. The price goes up to CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 62,000) for the 16GB + 512GB variant, CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 68,200) for the 16GB + 1TB configuration and CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs. 74,000) for the 16GB + 1TB model.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 50,000) for the 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage variant, CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 48,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. It costs CNY 4,599 (roughly Rs. 52,000) for the 16GB + 512GB model and CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 56,000) for the 16GB + 1TB configuration. 

Both smartphones are available in Classic Black, Rock Blue, Snow Mountain Pink and White (translated from Chinese) colour options and are currently available for pre-order. 

Details regarding the launch of the Xiaomi 14 series in India are yet to be announced by the company. To recall, the Xiaomi 13 Pro (Review) was launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 79,999 for the sole 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage configuration. The Xiaomi 13 was launched globally in February for EUR 999 (nearly Rs. 87,600), but it was never introduced in India.

The dual SIM (Nano) Xiaomi 14 Pro runs on the company’s new HyperOS interface and features a 6.73-inch 2.5D LTPO display with a 2K resolution (1,440×3,200 pixels) with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the brand-new 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset announced just this week. The new series is the first phone to feature Qualcomm’s new chipset, marking a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13, which used a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It features up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro houses a 4,880mAh battery with support for 120W charging support and 50W wireless charging support. The handset also supports 10W wireless reverse charging. The handset measures 161.4×75.3×8.49mm and weighs 223g.

Xiaomi 14 is expected to launch as the successor to the Xiaomi 13, which was released in December 2022. The upcoming flagship smartphone from Xiaomi has now been tipped to launch with an unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. A tipster hinted at a few other key specifications of the phone including camera and storage details. The Xiaomi 13 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and packs a 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed on Weibo that the Xiaomi 14 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The chipset hasn’t yet been announced, but it is expected to be a big upgrade over the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The tipster added that the phone may launch in 512GB and 1TB storage optoins.

Furthermore, the tipster suggests that the Xiaomi 14 is likely to include a 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch primary sensor, which is larger than the 50-megapixel 1/1.49-inch sensor in the Xiaomi 13. The new sensor is expected to be accompanied by a medium-telephoto lens and an ultra-wide angle lens. Earlier reports suggest that the Xiaomi 14 is likely to launch with a periscope zoom lens with 5 times the optical zoom capacity with a focal length of 115mm.

An earlier leak by the same tipster suggested that the upcoming flagship handset will sport a familiar square camera island, but it will be divided up into four parts, to hold four camera units. There is no further information available on the fourth camera.

The Xiaomi 14 series has also previously been reported to come with larger batteries than its predecessor. The base Xiaomi 14 model is expected to pack a 4,860mAh battery with 90W fast wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Tipped to Feature Periscope Cameras With Up to 5x Optical Zoom

Xiaomi 14 Pro is reportedly in the works and it is anticipated to go official in November this year alongside the Xiaomi 14. The Chinese smartphone brand is yet to confirm any details regarding the Xiaomi 14 series, but ahead of it, a known tipster from China has shared some camera specifications of the handsets online. The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are said to come with periscope zoom cameras. Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC is expected to power the handsets. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is tipped to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 50W wireless charging.

Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) in his latest post on Weibo claimed that cameras on Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro would offer periscope zoom capabilities. The periscope telephoto camera of Xiaomi 14 Pro is said to offer 5x optical zoom with 115mm focal length. The regular Xiaomi 14 on the other hand, is expected to feature a periscope telephoto camera with 3.9x optical zoom and 90mm focal length. However, the pixel-count and the number of camera sensors are unknown at this moment.

As per past leaks, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro will run on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Pro model could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 50W wireless charging support. It is said to carry WLG High-Lens cameras as well.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 are likely to succeed the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 that were launched earlier this year. The Xiaomi 13 Pro sports a Leica-branded triple rear camera unit, that houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor.

The triple rear camera setup of the Xiaomi 13 includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 10-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
