Xiaomi 14 Amazon India Microsite Goes Live, Flipkart Availability Tipped Ahead of March 7 Launch

Xiaomi 14 is confirmed to launch in India on March 7. The company is also set to introduce the Xiaomi 14 series globally on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona. The Indian variant of the vanilla Xiaomi 14 model is said to be similar to its Chinese counterpart, which was unveiled in October 2023. The Xiaomi India site has already teased the colour options and key features of the phone. The availability of the handset in the country has now been suggested via live microsites and leaked banners.

The Amazon microsite for the Xiaomi 14 confirms the phone’s Amazon availability in India. Several reports have also shared screengrabs that suggest that the phone will also be available in India via Flipkart. At the time of writing, however, the banner was not found in the upcoming launches segment on the e-commerce site.

The landing page of the Xiaomi 14 handset on the Xiaomi India website, alongside the Amazon microsite, has revealed various key features of the phone ahead of its launch in the country. The phone is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will ship with Android 14-based HyperOS. Notably, the Xiaomi 14 alongside the Xiaomi 14 Pro in China, were the first smartphones to run the new user interface out-of-the-box.

Xiaomi 14 is also confirmed to arrive with a 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It will also have an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone is said to support Dolby Vision as well as Dolby Atmos with stereo speakers. It is also teased to launch in the country in black, green, and white shades with smooth, glossy finishes. The handset is also set to support 90W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless Turbo Charge which is claimed to charge the phone from zero to 50 in less than 10 minutes.

In the camera department, the Xiaomi 14 India variant is confirmed to feature a Leica Summilux optical lens, a Light Fusion 900 image sensor with ultra-HDR support, and a 75mm floating telephoto lens. The Chinese version of the model comes with a triple rear camera unit which includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide angle lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter. There’s a 32-megapixel camera on the front and the handset is backed by a 4,610mAh battery.

Xiaomi 14 With Triple Rear Cameras Confirmed to Launch in India on March 7

Xiaomi 14 India launch date has been officially confirmed. The Chinese manufacturer confirmed the launch date via a post on X. Previously, the company had teased its Leica partnership on the official Xiaomi India X page. The Xiaomi 14 series is also scheduled to launch globally on February 25 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC). Xiaomi originally unveiled the handsets in China last year in October. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is also confirmed to launch in China on February 22.

In a post on X, Xiaomi India confirmed that the Xiaomi 14 will launch in India on March 7. India will most likely get the phone a couple of weeks after its global launch, and several months after it was revealed in China. As per the teaser shared by Xiaomi, it appears that India may only get the vanilla Xiaomi 14. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra and the Xiaomi 14 Pro may not launch in India.

 

The Xiaomi 14, in China, is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and gets a 6.36-inch LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The Indian variant is also expected to carry similar specifications. It is likely to get up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. 

In the camera department, which is co-engineered with Leica, the Xiaomi 14 in China offers a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and a Summilux lens. There’s also a 50-megapixel telephoto cameras and another 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor. The handset also boasts an IP68 rating. It packs a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 14 Flagship Smartphone Likely to Launch in India Soon: All You Need to Know

Xiaomi 14 could be launched in India and global markets in the coming weeks, months after the handset was unveiled alongside the Xiaomi 14 Pro. While recent reports suggest that the company could launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered handset in the coming weeks, only the standard model is speculated to debut in the country and other regions. The Xiaomi 14 has also been spotted on certification websites for India and Thailand, hinting at the phone’s upcoming arrival in these countries.

While the Chinese smartphone maker is yet to officially announce a launch date for the Xiaomi 14 in India and global markets, the handset was reportedly spotted on the NTBC certification website earlier this week and on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website in late 2023. The appearance of the phone on these websites is an indicator that it might be launched in these countries soon. As per reports from China, the Xiaomi 14 has been well received in China and has surpassed Apple to become the top smartphone vendor in December last year. We expect the next Xiaomi flagship to make it to the Indian market in the coming months.

A recent report suggested that the standard Xiaomi 14 would be launched by the company in global markets at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024). The annual event will take place between February 26 and February 29 this year, but the company has yet to announce any plans to this effect. The phone is also speculated to arrive in India on the same date as the global launch.

Xiaomi 14 was launched in China alongside the Xiaomi 14 Pro model in October this year. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and is backed by a 4,610mAh battery with 90W wired, 50W wireless and 10W wireless reverse charging support. The Xiaomi 14 models were the first phones from the company to ship with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS user interface. Now, the base Xiaomi 14 model is tipped to launch in India, as well as globally, in the coming months.

A 91Mobiles report citing tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) suggests that the base Xiaomi 14 model is expected to be introduced globally at the Mobile World Congress 2024 which is scheduled to take place between February 26 and February 29. The report suggests that the phone may be unveiled on February 25, and the handset may launch in India on the same day. 

Previously, the standard Xiaomi 14 model was spotted on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with the model number 23127PN0CG. The ‘G’ is speculated to represent the global variant of the Chinese counterpart. Although usually, the Indian variants carry an ‘I’ at the end, since the model was spotted on BIS, an India launch of the phone appears imminent. The phone was also spotted on the IMDA certification site as a “5G Mobile Phone with Bluetooth Wi-Fi and NFC” connectivity.

In China, the Xiaomi 14 launched with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage and a 4,610mAh battery with 90W wired, 50W wireless and 10W wireless reverse charging support. It ships with the company’s new HyperOS interface that is based on Android 14. The phone features a 6.36-inch 1.5K (1,200 x 2,600 pixels) LTPO AMOLED panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 460ppi pixel density, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits.

In the camera department, the Xiaomi 14 has a Leica-branded triple rear camera unit with a Summilux lens. It includes a 50-megapixel Hunter 900 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The front camera has a 32-megapixel sensor. The handset comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It measures 152.8mm x 71.5mm x 8.20mm and weighs 193g.
