The Galaxy F55 is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. It could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging.

The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is said to be priced at Rs. 29,999, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is tipped to cost Rs. 32,999.

The Galaxy F55 5G is believed to be identical to the Galaxy C55 in terms of design and specifications. Samsung Galaxy F55 5G With Vegan Leather Finish Confirmed to Launch in India Soon

Samsung Galaxy F55 5G has long been tipped to launch in India as a remodelled version of the Galaxy C55 5G. The latter was unveiled in China earlier this month. The Galaxy C55 comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, a hole-punch AMOLED Plus display, a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging. It comes with leather back panels. Now, the company has confirmed the India launch of the Galaxy F55 5G, which is expected to share its specifications as well as design with the Galaxy C55 model.

Samsung India confirmed in a post on X that the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G will launch in the country soon with triple rear cameras and a vegan leather finish. The attached video teased the upcoming model with a tan, orangish leather back panel. Two vertical lines in a stitch pattern are seen on the left and right edges of the panel. The post also confirmed the Flipkart availability of the handset.

The design of the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G teased by the company is similar to that of the Galaxy C55 5G. Even the colour option is similar to the Orange variant of the handset that was launched in China. The model was also introduced in a Black colourway, which may also be available as an option for the Galaxy F55 5G in India.

Notably, the Galaxy C55 is similar to the Galaxy M55 handset which was launched in India recently. The handsets share similarities in terms of specifications but the Galaxy M55 does not have vegan leather finishes.

Previous reports have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is likely to launch with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of peak brightness level, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of onboard storage and Android 14-based One UI 6.0.

The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G has also been tipped to carry a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support, alongside an 8-megapixel sensor paired with an ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter at the back and a 50-megapixel sensor at the front. It is likely to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro Battery Capacity Leaked Ahead of Expected Launch

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro battery capacity has leaked. The Galaxy wearable is rumoured to launch later this year alongside the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 model. The Pro model recently appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification listing hinting that the launch date was near. It is believed that the earbuds could be unveiled alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, the rumoured Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

According to a report by 91 Mobiles, who spotted the earbuds on the TUV Certification listing, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro’s charging case will be backed by a 500mAh battery. As per the listing, there is not much of a difference in the battery capacity of the device compared to its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, which packed a 515mAh battery in its charging case. Apart from this, the the model number of the earphones, EB-BR630ABY, was also listed, which appears to be same as the BIS listing.

While not much was revealed, the BIS listing and the TUV listing containing the same model number have hinted that the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is likely to launch in India. Based on rumours, the Pro model is expected to come with general improvements to sound quality, noise cancellation, and battery life. Notably, an earlier report mentioned that this year both the base model and the Pro models could be launched together unlike their predecessors, as the Galaxy Buds 2 arrived in 2021 and the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro debuted in 2022.

To recall, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (Review) featured custom two-way coaxial speakers which support 24bit Hi-Fi audio with Samsung Galaxy devices running on Android 12-based One UI 4.0 or higher. The company claims that the earbuds also sport 360-degree audio support with Direct Multi-channel. The Samsung wearable features Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and is equipped with three high signal-to-noise ratio microphones.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are claimed to provide a total of up to 29 hours of listening time (ANC off) and up to 15 hours of talk time (ANC on) with the charging case. The earbuds have an IPX7 rating for water resistance, however, the charging case is not water resistant.

Samsung Galaxy Ring Model Numbers Reveal Compact Wearable Will Arrive in Eight Sizes: Report

Samsung Galaxy Ring is expected to arrive in global markets in the coming months, and details of the next-generation wearable have been leaking ever since the company first teased it in January. A new report reveals the model numbers of the wearable device, that suggest it will be available in eight sizes. Samsung is yet to reveal detailed specifications of the Galaxy Ring, which is expected to offer health and sleep monitoring features, and run for up to nine days on a single charge.

A Galaxy Club report (in Dutch) states that there are only eight confirmed variants of the Galaxy Ring. These are SM-Q500, SM-Q501, SM-Q502, SM-Q505, SM-Q506, SM-Q507, SM-Q508, and SM-Q509. Two model numbers appear to be missing, and it is currently unclear whether these represent additional sizes, or whether Samsung will introduce a ninth variant, like it previously announced.

The publication speculates that these model numbers will match US ring sizes 5 and higher, starting with the SMQ500. The following model numbers could represent larger ring sizes, up to size 13, which could correspond with the model number SM-Q509, as per the report.

Earlier this year, a tech analyst claimed that they had received a hands-on experience with a Galaxy Ring prototype, which would be available in multiple sizes, up to US size 13 (or 22.2mm). The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Ring is also expected to be available in three finishes. In a recent report (in Korean) Samsung revealed that the ring will offer nine days of battery life.

Meanwhile, a recent report suggests that Samsung is producing over 400,000 units of the Samsung Galaxy Ring, and mass production of the wearable is expected to begin next month. First teased at the company’s first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year in January, Samsung then showed off the ring again at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024), and the device is expected to be unveiled at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event in July, alongside the purported Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy Allegedly Surfaces on Geekbench

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to go official in the second half of this year alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The South Korean giant is speculated to use both Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets in the next generation of foldable phones this year. Amid these rumours, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has allegedly appeared on the Geekbench website with a custom Snapdragon chipset. This high-end SoC with a higher-clocked prime core and a higher-clocked GPU already powers the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra.

A Samsung handset has been spotted on the Geekbench website with the model number SM-F741U. The listing, believed to belong to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 shows a 15,084 Vulkan score and 14,325 OpenCL score. These CPU speeds and GPU are associated with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.

The listings suggest an Android 14 operating system and 6.75GB of RAM on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. This could be translated to 8GB on paper. The listings are dated April 17 and was first spotted by SamMobile.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S24 Ultra with the same custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy SoC with overclocked CPU and GPU cores. The regular Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ also use the same chipset in select markets.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to launch in July at an Unpacked event in Paris alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It is said to come with a larger cover display than the Galaxy Z Flip 5 that could offer 120Hz refresh rate instead of a 60Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to come in 8GB or 12GB RAM options with 256GB or 512GB storage. It could be offered in light blue, light green, silver, and yellow colourways. Apple Loses Top Phonemaker Spot to Samsung as iPhone Shipments Drop, IDC Says

Apple’s smartphone shipments dropped about 10 percent in the first quarter of 2024, hurt by intensifying competition by Android smartphone makers aiming for the top spot, data from research firm IDC showed on Sunday.

Global smartphone shipments increased 7.8 percent to 289.4 million units during January-March, with Samsung, at 20.8 percent market share, clinching the top phonemaker spot from Apple.

The iPhone-maker’s steep sales decline comes after its strong performance in the December quarter when it overtook Samsung as the world’s No.1 phone maker. It’s back to the second spot, with 17.3 percent market share, as Chinese brands such as Huawei gain market share.

Xiaomi, one of China’s top smartphone makers, occupied the third position with a market share of 14.1 percent during the first quarter.

South Korea’s Samsung, which launched its latest flagship smartphone lineup – Galaxy S24 series – in the beginning of the year, shipped more than 60 million phones during the period.

Global sales of Galaxy S24 smartphones jumped 8 percent, compared to last year’s Galaxy S23 series during their first three weeks of availability, data provider Counterpoint previously said.

In the first quarter, Apple shipped 50.1 million iPhones, down from 55.4 million units it shipped same period last year, according to IDC.

Apple’s smartphone shipments in China shrank 2.1 percent in the final quarter of 2023 from a year earlier.

The drop underscores the challenges facing the US firm in its third biggest market, as some Chinese companies and government agencies limit employees’ use of Apple devices, a measure that mirrors US government restrictions on Chinese apps on security grounds.

The Cupertino, California-based company in June will hold its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), where it will highlight updates to the software powering iPhones, iPads, and other Apple devices.

Investors are closely watching for updates on artificial intelligence development at Apple, which has so far spoken little about incorporating the AI technology into its devices. The company earlier this year lost the crown as the world’s most valuable company to Microsoft.
