Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy Allegedly Surfaces on Geekbench

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to go official in the second half of this year alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The South Korean giant is speculated to use both Qualcomm and Exynos chipsets in the next generation of foldable phones this year. Amid these rumours, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has allegedly appeared on the Geekbench website with a custom Snapdragon chipset. This high-end SoC with a higher-clocked prime core and a higher-clocked GPU already powers the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra.

A Samsung handset has been spotted on the Geekbench website with the model number SM-F741U. The listing, believed to belong to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 shows a 15,084 Vulkan score and 14,325 OpenCL score. The Vulkan and OpenCL tests confirm the presence of an eight-core CPU with a 2.26GHz base frequency, 3.40Ghz peak frequency, and Adreno 750 GPU. These CPU speeds and GPU are associated with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.

The listings suggest an Android 14 operating system and 6.75GB of RAM on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. This could be translated to 8GB on paper. The listings are dated April 17 and was first spotted by SamMobile.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S24 Ultra with the same custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy SoC with overclocked CPU and GPU cores. The regular Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ also use the same chipset in select markets.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to launch in July at an Unpacked event in Paris alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It is said to come with a larger cover display than the Galaxy Z Flip 5 that could offer 120Hz refresh rate instead of a 60Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to come in 8GB or 12GB RAM options with 256GB or 512GB storage. It could be offered in light blue, light green, silver, and yellow colourways. The foldable is said to support 25W charging.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip Could Offer 25W Charging Just Like Their Predecessors

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 could be unveiled in the second half of this year. Multiple leaks and rumours about the next-generation foldable phones have already started appearing on the Web and most recently we get hints about their charging capabilities. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 have allegedly bagged certification from China’s Compulsory Certification (3C) website. The listing suggests the charging support on the upcoming devices, which is no different to the wired charging speed of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

In the 3C listing, spotted by Myfixguide, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are listed with model numbers “SM-F9560” and “SM-F4710”, respectively. As per the listing, the handsets have a bundled Samsung EP-TA800 charger indicating 25W wired charging support, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The listing also confirms 5G connectivity on the upcoming models.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is rumoured to carry a 4,000mAh battery. Last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a 4,400mAh battery, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 houses a 3,700mAh battery. Samsung has used similar charging technology for its previous flagships like the Galaxy S series phones.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in July in Paris. The book-style foldable is tipped to come with titanium frames similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone. The Galaxy Z Flip 6’s cover screen is said to have 120Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to come in 8GB or 12GB RAM options with 256GB or 512GB storage options.

As per past leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be available in three colour options — dark blue, light pink, and silver. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 could be offered in light blue, light green, silver, and yellow colourways.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Tipped to Get Both Snapdragon, Exynos SoC; Galaxy Z Fold 6 May Use Titanium Frame

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are expected to break cover in early July and new leaks suggesting the specifications of the next-generation foldables have surfaced on the Web. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is said to feature either an Exynos SoC or a Snapdragon chip, depending on the region. This move could align with the recent release of the Galaxy S24 series. It could feature a cover screen with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 512GB of storage. Additionally, the book-style foldable is tipped to come with a titanium frame. Samsung also used a titanium frame on the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Tipster Kro (@kro_roe) on X claimed that Samsung may use both Snapdragon and Exynos SoC in the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Earlier this year, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ arrived in India with the Exynos 2400 processor, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC powered the phones in regions like the US and Canada. The company is expected to follow a similar strategy for the next-generation flip phone. Samsung has consistently used Snapdragon processors for its Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip phones.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6’s cover screen is said to have 120Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to come in two RAM — 8GB,12GB — and two storage —256GB, 512GB — options. This would be an upgrade over the standard 8GB RAM available on Galaxy Z Flip 5. The tipster also claims that the handset will have a longer battery.

Additionally, tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) on X said that Samsung will release the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with a titanium frame. The company has used titanium on the flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra’s frame instead of Aluminium. Apple has also used titanium on its latest iPhone 15 Pro series.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 launch is expected to take place in July. Therefore, we can expect to hear more about the foldables in the coming months.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Tipped to Feature Same Processor as International Galaxy S24 Series Models

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to make its debut later this year alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, followed by a more affordable Galaxy Z Fold FE. The company’s successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is likely to arrive with the same chipset that powers the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ handsets in international markets, according to a tipster. The company’s clamshell-style foldable phone is currently its most affordable option in the Galaxy Z series.

Tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) took to X (formerly Twitter) to claim Samsung could equip the Galaxy Z Flip 6 on the with an Exynos 2400 processor. Earlier this year, the company launched the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ with the same chip in international markets except North America and China, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra arrived with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in all markets.

Given Samsung’s decision to equip the less expensive Galaxy S24 series models with its own Exynos processor, its rumoured inclusion in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 does not sound very unlikely. It’s worth noting that unlike the company’s previous chips, the Exynos 2400 managed to give the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 some serious competition earlier this year.

The Exynos 2400 features a high-performance Arm Cortex-X4 core with a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores (two cores at 2.9GHz and two at 2.6GHz) along with four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores clocked at 1.92GHz. It is the company’s first processor to use the Fan-out Wafer Level Package (FOWLP) which is said to improve thermal management for sustained performance.

Recently leaks related to the purported Galaxy Z Flip 6 suggest that the handset will be equipped with a larger cover display than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The latter made its debut in the second half of 2023 with a 3.4-inch cover screen. This year’s clamshell-style foldable from Samsung is also tipped to arrive with a larger battery and up to 12GB of RAM. More details about the phone are expected to surface ahead of its anticipated arrival in July.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Spotted in Leaked Renders With Dual Camera Setup, Familiar Design

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 has been spotted in leaked renders, just a day after images of its larger sibling surfaced online. A tipster has shared detailed images of the upcoming clamshell-style design that is expected to make its debut as the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 later this year. Samsung’s next compact foldable phone could appear very similar to the model launched by the company last year, including the horizontally aligned dual camera setup and a fold-flat design.

Detailed CAD renders of the purported Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 were leaked by tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) in collaboration with Smartprix. These images show the smartphone in a Mint (Green) colourway from various angles. The report suggests that the smartphone will be launched in the third quarter of 2024, based on the company’s previous launch schedules.

The leaked renders show the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will sport a 3.4-inch folder-shaped cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate — this means that it is likely to measure the same as last year’s model. Located at the top left corner is a dual camera setup — their specifications are currently unknown. The hinge also appears similar to the one on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 (Review).

On the inside, the Galaxy Z Flip is equipped with a 6.7-inch inner screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. A faint crease is visible on the renders where the phone is folded. The leaked specifications of the smartphone’s displays suggest that they will remain unchanged this year.

The smartphone will reportedly measure 165.0×71.7×7.4mm — the 0.5mm increase in thickness could be due to the larger 4,000mAh battery on the Galaxy Z Flip 6, according to the publication. Other specifications of the handset include Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of inbuilt storage. The handset is expected to debut with Android 14-based One UI 6.1 and offer some Galaxy AI features introduced with the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones earlier this year.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Reportedly Being Tested; Tipped to Get 50-Megapixel Rear Camera

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is reportedly being tested. The next foldable from Samsung is expected to be the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, released last month at the second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year. The anticipated clamshell foldable is expected to get a significant camera upgrade. The Flip 5 was recently launched alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which comes with a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (2,176 x 1,812 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex primary display and a 6.2-inch full-HD+ (2,316 x 904 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover panel.

A Galaxy Club report suggests that Samsung is testing the purported Galaxy Z Flip 6 with a 50-megapixel primary rear sensor. If true, it will be a significant upgrade over the dual 12-megapixel rear sensors of the recently-launched Galaxy Z Flip 5. The report added that the Flip 6 carries the codenamed B6, while the Fold 6 is codenamed Q6.

The Galaxy Flip 6 is expected to launch in 2024 since Flip 5 was released in July this year. Usually, the South Korean tech giant takes a year between the release of two consecutive lineups. For instance, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 was launched in July 2022. It is best to take the current leaks and rumours with a pinch of salt since it is too early for anything to be officially confirmed.

Notably the Galaxy Z Flip 5 went on sale in India starting Friday, August 18. It features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,640 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex primary display and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED folder-shaped outer screen.

Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of inbuilt storage. It ships with Android 13 with OneUI 5.1.1 on top. Alongside its dual rear cameras, the clamshell foldable is equipped with a 10-megapixel front camera sensor for selfies and video calls.

Packing a 3,700mAh battery, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with 25W wired fast charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare support. Offered in Blue, Cream, Graphite, Gray, Green, Lavender, Mint, and Yellow colour options, the phone starts at Rs. 99,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB variant and lists the 8GB + 512GB variant at Rs. 1,09,999.
