Gen Z ‘Barbie’ fans slammed for calling Ryan Gosling ‘old’

He’s plastic, and according to Gen Z, he’s not so fantastic.

Social media is abuzz about the new “Barbie” movie trailer starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling – but Gen Z fans aren’t impressed with Gosling as Ken.

“[R]yan gosling is too old to be playing ken i’m sorry his wrinkles are taking me out of the experience,” one fan tweeted

“I like Ryan Gosling but idk [I don’t know] why he looks a little too old and dry. Not sure if it’s because of the hair or tan but he needed some moisturizer,” another complained

Another fan had scathing commentary about “The Notebook” and the “Drive” star’s appearance. “Ryan gosling is too ugly and too old to be playing ken, they should’ve casted henry cavill or chris evans bye,” they wrote

Another fan tentatively wondered if voicing this opinion would get them canceled. “Heeeey so um will saying ‘ryan gosling looks too old to be playing ken’ get somebody cancelled???? asking for a friend,” they tweeted.

One fan on TikTok even called Gosling, “Grandpa Ken.”

Gosling is 42 while Robbie is 32.

The “Barbie” movie’s tone looks like it will lean towards comedy and absurdity, with the trailer highlighting how Barbie and Ken don’t know what sex is. In the trailer, when Gosling’s Ken suggests that he and Margot’s Barbie go home together because they are “girlfriend and boyfriend,” she looks confused, asking what they would do. Ken pauses and replies, “I’m actually not sure.”

The Greta Gerwig movie’s marketing is also leaning into the running gag that Barbie dolls have a wide range of occupations such as a president and a doctor, while Ken dolls are always “just Ken,” which has spawned countless memes.

Plenty of staunch Gosling defenders took up arms against Gen Z’s notion that he’s too “old” and “wrinkled” to play Ken.

“i would still choose 96 year old haggard ryan gosling as ken over anyone else,” one fan proclaimed

“Gen Z saying Ryan Gosling is too old to be Ken and calling him ugly ?? have y’all lost your minds,” another fan slammed

“i genuinely don’t think ryan gosling is ugly at all and that’s why all this discourse is making me mad,” another fan fumed. “like he’s kinda old looking, but ugly he is NOT. you guys are LYING.”

Other fans dug into the Barbie doll lore to explain why Gosling is the right Ken.

“I don’t understand how people are saying Ryan Gosling looks too old in the Barbie movie like…this is a 50-year-old man,” one fan said, sharing an image of a Ken doll.

Another fan had an in-universe explanation: “…. i don’t get the ryan gosling is too old thing. one of the running jokes in dreamhouse was that barbie is an older woman but no one knew how old,” they wrote, referring to the animated web series, “Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse” and its Netflix continuation, “Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures.”

“‘Ryan Gosling is too old for ken,’ Ryan Gosling has been on this earth for less time then the character of ken has been in existence do you hear yourselves,” another fan fumed, referring to the fact that the Ken doll has existed since 1961.

“Barbie” hits theaters on July 21.

Jeremy Renner snowplow incident seen in new animation

A new animation has detailed the moment actor Jeremy Renner was crushed by his 14,000-pound snowplow near his Lake Tahoe home on New Year’s Day.

In his first interview since the near-fatal incident, Renner recalled the horrifying ordeal and how he was hospitalized with 30 broken bones and a collapsed lung.

The simulation, which was seen for the first time during his ABC News interview with Diane Sawyer, shows Renner operating the 1988 Pistenbully snowcat, as his nephew, Alex Fries, hooks a chain from the snowplow to a Ford Raptor they were attempting to move to the snow-cleared street.

“I led in the snowcat with the truck behind it to finish off the last 20-30 yards of the driveway to get it onto the paved area,” Renner told Sawyer about his mission to clear all the snow from the driveway leading up to the house.

Once parked on the street, Fries unhooked the truck from the snowcat, as Renner began to turn around on the icy sloped road.

“I did turn it around, correct,” Renner confirmed. “The cat kept sliding on the icy road because we’re on the paved area but it’s all ice and it kept sliding.”

Renner, driving the snowcat, was moving a pickup truck with his nephew on New Year’s Day.
ABC

Alex Fries, Renner’s nephew hooked up the Ford Raptor to the snowcat for 20-foot journey out of the driveway.
ABC

Renner pulled the truck to the street and parked it on the icy, sloped hill.
ABC

Concerned that his nephew was too close to the plow, Renner looked outside the cab, keeping one foot inside while placing his other foot on the snowcat’s wet steel rolling tracks — and forgetting to set the parking brake.

“I’m standing on this,” Renner says pointing to the snowcat’s rolling tracks, “I wanted to see where my nephew is, I just happened to be the dummy standing on the dang track a little bit seeing if my nephew’s there.”

“Shouldn’t be [outside] the vehicle when you’re operating. It’s kind of like driving a car with your foot outside the car,” the “Avengers” star says. “It is what it was and it’s my mistake and I paid for it.”

As the plow began to roll down the hill, Renner attempted to jump into the cab to stop it.
ABC

The moving tracks pushed Renner forward, causing the actor to land on his face in front of the 14,000-pound vehicle.
ABC

Renner says the incident all happened fast, not remembering everything but he does know his foot did slip and he fell off the side of the plow as it began to roll.

The Oscar winner attempted to hop back into the cab when he realized his nephew could become sandwiched between the moving plow and truck.

The plow’s tracks pushed Renner forward, causing him to fall flat onto the snow as the plow barreled toward him.

“That’s when I screamed by the way, when I went under the thing ‘not today, motherf–ker,” Renner recalled.

Fries was able to find out at one of the neighbor’s houses, who called 911 as first responders rushed to the aid of the injured actor.
ABC

Renner broke over 30 bones in his body during the incident.

Renner was released from the hospital in January after multiple surgeries.

Renner couldn’t remember what exactly led to him laying on the ground but remembers the pain of it happening.

“I was awake through every moment,” Renner said. “It’s exactly like you imagined it would feel like, it’s hard to imagine what that feels like, but if you look at the machine and I was on asphalt and ice. I wish I was on snow.”

“Felt like someone took the wind out of you,” Renner recalls of what he felt. “Too many things are going on in the body to feel, pain is everything, it’s like if your soul could have pain.”

Renner recalled the moment the plow ran him over, saying the pain was everything, like he got his wind knocked out of him.
ABC

The machine rolled over Renner’s entire body, starting from his feet and going up to his head.

“I can see my eye with my other eye, and I remember just seeing stars and a little tar line whatever in this eye,” Renner said pointing to his left eye.

The machine continued down the hill, with Fries still in the path of danger, he hopped into the truck but the snowcat caught him and pushed the truck into a 7-foot snowbank, bringing both the Ford and plow to a stop.

“I look out the window and I see half of the snow machine and then I just perfectly see him in a pool of blood coming from his head,” Fries says of seeing his uncle for the first time.

Not thinking, he ran to his uncle’s side but feared the worse had happened.

“He wasn’t responsive because when I ran up to him I didn’t think he was alive,” Fries recalls of the horrifying incident.

Alex Fries remembered racing over to his uncle who was laying in pool of blood.

Here comes the puke.

Kourtney Kardashian shared throwback photos of herself “about to throw up” one year after drunkenly marrying Travis Barker in Las Vegas.

The snaps, which she posted to Instagram Tuesday, show the “Kardashians” star hunched over the back seat of a blacked-out SUV while sitting on the floor and holding her hair back.

The Blink-182 drummer is seen buckled in next to his bride as he comforted her by patting the top of her head and kissing her hand.

“One year ago today, an Elvis impersonator married me and @travisbarker after the Grammys and way too much tequila in a chapel in Las Vegas!” Kardashian captioned the carousel post, which also included PDA-filled pictures.

“It was one of the best nights of our lives, dreaming of a lifetime filled with fun adventures together. And yes, that’s me about to throw up on the floor in the car. 🥂.”

The reality star also shared that she “ended up losing” the black leather jacket that she wore to her booze-fueled nuptials and offered “a reward if anyone finds it.”

Despite having too much tequila, Kardashian called it “one of the best nights” of her life.

In the comments section, Barker wrote, “Kourtney you’re my hunk a hunk burning love ❤️‍🔥,” quoting Elvis Presley.

Page Six exclusively reported at the time that Kardashian, 43, and the musician, 47, did not obtain a marriage license prior to heading to the chapel in April 2022, but the couple legally wed the following month at a courthouse in Santa Barbara, Calif.

They had a third ceremony in Portofino, Italy, in late May 2022, which their loved ones attended.

The couple also had weddings in Santa Barbara, Calif., and Portofino, Italy.

Kardashian previously admitted to being “blacked out” and “slurring” her words when she and Barker first said “I do” in Sin City.

“I was a hot slob kebab,” she said on her family’s Hulu reality series in October.

This is the Poosh founder’s first marriage, though she was famously in a long-term relationship with Scott Disick, with whom she shares three children: Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, 8.

Kardashian and Barker’s wedding special premieres this month on Hulu.

Barker, for his part, was previously married to Melissa Kennedy and Shanna Moakler, the latter of whom is the mother of his two kids: Landon, 19, and Alabama, 17.

Kardashian and the rock star started dating in late 2020 after being friends for years. They got engaged in October 2021.

Their wedding special, “Til Death Do Us Part,” premieres April 13 on Hulu.

Sara Beth Liebe quits ‘American Idol’ following Katy Perry’s ‘mom-shaming’

Sara Beth Liebe quit “American Idol” following Katy Perry’s “mom-shaming” comments.

“This opportunity is really rad, but this is actually gonna be my last performance ’cause my heart’s at home,” the 25-year-old mother of three told Perry and co-judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan Sunday night after her first Hollywood Week performance of The Police’s “Roxanne.”

“So I’m gonna get home to my babies. They kinda need me. So thank you,” she added before rushing off the stage.

The announcement shocked and confused the judges, who urged the musician to come back and hear them out.

“Sara Beth, I know life is scary. I also know that it’s easier to walk away than to be rejected,” Perry, who shares 2-year-old daughter Daisy with fiancé Orlando Bloom, told her. “But then I also know that you lose out on your fullest potential.”

Trying to relate to Liebe “as a mother,” the Grammy nominee added, “Remember that self-love is just as big as motherly love. Don’t leave the competition.”

Even though Liebe made it through to the next round, she decided to bow out anyway, saying she wished her kids “were a little older.”

Perry begged her not to leave the competition, saying, “Remember that self-love is just as big as motherly love.”

But during Liebe’s audition, Perry joked, “Honey, you’ve been laying on the table too much.”
ABC

“I’m sure that when I get home, I’ll regret it,” the talented hopeful admitted to the camera.

After learning of Liebe’s definitive departure, Perry, 38, let out, “Man, that sucks. It’s not easy for anyone. Everyone has their own story.”

Despite her kind words at the moment, Liebe was previously put off by a “joke” the “Firework” singer made during her initial audition.

After she told Perry, Richie and Bryan her age and that she had three children, the “Hot N Col” hitmaker stood up in shock.

“It was embarrassing to have that on TV, and it was hurtful,” Liebe said of the remark.
Instagram/sarahbethliebe

“If Katy lays on the table, I think I’m gonna pass out,” Liebe said, to which Perry replied, “Honey, you’ve been laying on the table too much.”

After the remark went viral for all the wrong reasons, the young mom took to social media to explain, “It was embarrassing to have that on TV, and it was hurtful.”

She added, “I think that women supporting and uplifting other women is so cool, and I think that mom-shaming is super lame.”

Perry has neither spoken on the matter nor responded to Page Six’s request for comment.

Seymour Stein, record executive who helped launch Madonna’s career, dead at 80

Sire Records co-founder Seymour Stein died on Sunday at the age of 80 in Los Angeles after a battle with cancer, according to a statement from his family.

Stein helped the careers of singer Madonna, the rock band Talking Heads and many others during his career as a record executive.

He founded the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005.

The New York City native worked summers as a teenager at Cincinnati-based King Records, which helped launch the career of singer James Brown. Stein also co-founded Sire Productions, which later became Sire Records, by his mid-20s.

He had been obsessed with the Billboard music charts since he was a child and developed a deep knowledge and appreciation of music.

He signed record deals with the Talking Heads, the Ramones and the Pretenders during the New Wave era in the 1970s and 1980s.

“Seymour’s taste in music is always a couple of years ahead of everyone else’s,” Talking Heads manager Gary Kurfirst told the Rock Hall around the time of Stein’s induction.

Stein was also known for his discovery of Madonna in the early 1980s when he heard her demo tape.

“I liked Madonna’s voice, I liked the feel, and I liked the name Madonna. I liked it all and played it again,” he wrote in his memoir “Siren Song.”

Stein was hospitalized with a heart infection when he first heard about Madonna, but he was so excited to meet her that he had her come to his room.

“She was all dolled up in cheap punky gear, the kind of club kid who looked absurdly out of place in a cardiac ward,” he wrote. “She wasn’t even interested in hearing me explain how much I liked her demo. ‘The thing to do now,’ she said, ‘is sign me to a record deal.’”

Other names Sire had signed include Ice T, the Smiths, Depeche Mode, the Replacements, Echo and the Bunnymen, Lou Reed and Brian Wilson.

Stein was briefly married to record promoter and real estate executive Linda Adler before divorcing in the 1970s.

He and Adler had two children, filmmaker Mandy Stein and Samantha Lee Jacobs, who died of brain cancer in 2013.

Stein came out as gay after his divorce and never remarried.

“I am beyond grateful for every minute our family spent with him, and that the music he brought to the world impacted so many people’s lives in a positive way,” Mandy Stein said in a statement Sunday.

Lana Del Rey engaged to music manager Evan Winiker: report

Lana Del Rey is reportedly engaged to music manager and musician Evan Winiker, Billboard reports.

The “Candy Necklace” songstress, who last week released her hotly anticipated ninth studio album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” has kept her rumored romance with Winiker under wraps.

The pair, who have reportedly been dating for a few months, were seen together only a handful of times.

Del Rey and Winiker, who is a managing partner at Range Media, have remained pretty tight-lipped on their relationship even on social media.

Page Six has reached out to Del Rey’s reps for comment.

The “Ride” singer, 37, sparked engagement rumors after she was seen wearing a huge diamond sparkler at the Billboard Women In Music Awards on March 1.

Evan Winiker, who is a managing partner at Range Media, was previously in a band with Jack Antonoff.
Instagram/@evanwiniker

Winiker looks after talent including Disco Biscuits, MAX, and Daya.

The 40-year-old comes from a music background himself, having previously been in a band called Steel Train with songwriter/producer Jack Antonoff.

The “Born To Die” hitmaker was seen wearing a diamond ring at the Billboard Women In Music Awards earlier this month.

Antonoff has worked closely with Del Rey on several of her projects, including her 2019 album “Norman F–king Rockwell,” her 2021 album “Chemtrails Over The Country Club,” and her most recent project, released on March 24.

Prior to her rumored romance with Winiker, the “Summertime Sadness” hitmaker was last romantically linked to musician Jack Donaghue, 33.

Del Rey, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, was rumored to be dating the Salem frontman for a few months in early 2022, although the exact timeline of their relationship remains unclear.

Winiker has reportedly been dating the Grammy-nominated singer for a few months.
Instagram/@evanwiniker

Prior to that, Del Rey was in a relationship with country singer Clayton Johnson after they met on a dating app in 2020.

They were rumored to be engaged later that year, but ultimately called it quits and did not address the breakup.

Del Rey’s past romantic interests include Scottish singer-songwriter Barrie-James O’Neill, whom she dated from 2011 until 2014.

The singer also dated cop Sean Larkin and even attended the 2020 Grammys red carpet with him.

She then dated Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini from 2014 until 2015, before enjoying a brief romance with rapper G-Eazy in 2017.

She also dated cop Sean ‘Sticks’ Larkin and even attended the 2020 Grammys red carpet with him.

However, they broke up just months later.

Speaking in 2014, Del Rey told Rolling Stone that she has “an affinity for really good, strong, self-assured people.”

The following year, the “Born To Die” singer told Harper’s Bazaar that she likes “to come home and have someone there.”

“For someone like me – and it’s not a codependent thing – I just like having someone there. I’ve been alone, and that’s fine. But I like to come home and have someone there,” she told the outlet at the time.

‘He’s a terrible human being’

Matt Damon has no plans to end his long-standing “feud” with Jimmy Kimmel as he called the late-night host a “bad” person at the premiere of his new movie, “Air.”

When asked by ET on Monday if he would ever consider burying the hatchet and moving on, Damon replied, “No, no, he’s an a–hole. Why would I ever do that?”

He continued, “He’s a terrible human being. He’s a demonstrably bad man.”

The “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” host walked the carpet a few paces behind Damon, while the “Jason Bourne” actor heckled him.

“Hey! I’d love to take a picture with you but we ran out of time!” he yelled to Kimmel, referencing the TV personality’s ongoing gag in which he apologizes to Damon at the end of every episode for running out of time to interview him.

Damon said Kimmel was a “bad” person.

Kimmel then told the outlet, “You know, I don’t know who that was, but yeah, I heard him. He was loud.”

When asked if the pair might consider reconciling, he responded, “I just can’t imagine it happening. I really can’t. I think we have Ben [Affleck] on tomorrow, so we’ll have that, but that will be as close as we get.”

The duo’s faux feud began in 2006 when Kimmel, 55, off-handedly joked that’d bumped Damon, 52, from an episode of his talk show.

Kimmel continues to reference the actor at the conclusion of his late-night show.

“We had a bad show … The guests were bad, and I was feeling pretty bad about myself at the end of the program,” Kimmel told NPR in 2013.

“And I decided to say, for the amusement of one of our producers who was standing next to me, ‘I want to apologize to Matt Damon. We ran out of time.’ And he got a kick out of it, the producer, so I just started doing it every night to amuse him.”

Both Damon and Kimmel have continued committing to the bit, nearly 20 years after it began.
Elder Ordonez / SplashNews.com

He explained that Damon was just the “first name that popped into [his] head,” and there was no particular reason why he chose him.

“I was trying to think of an A-list star, and somebody we absolutely would not bump if he was on the show,” he said.

“People laugh every time I say it. Repeating the same joke every single night, you’d think eventually people would get tired of it, but they don’t.”

Busy Philipps shades Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘half day of skiing’ quote

Gwyneth Paltrow is being roasted for her viral quote about losing “half a day of skiing” — and Busy Philipps is getting in on the fun.

One day after the Goop founder’s testimony in her ski crash court case made headlines, Philipps posted a serious Instagram selfie while out for drinks with pal Jen Tullock.

“Well, we lost a half day of skiing,” the “Freaks and Geeks” alum, 43, captioned the Saturday snap with what appeared to be two espresso martinis.

Paltrow, 50, has been in court over her and retired doctor Terry Sanderson’s 2016 hit-and-run ski collision since March 21.

The former optometrist sued the Oscar winner in January 2019 for allegedly skiing into him and “causing a brain injury [and] four broken ribs,” with Paltrow filing a countersuit the following month.

The “Shakespeare in Love” star took the stand Friday and alleged that Sanderson was the one to hit her.

When asked whether he “deterred [her] from enjoying what was the rest of a very expensive vacation” in Park City, Utah, she solemnly replied, “Well, I lost half a day of skiing, yes.”

Philipps wasn’t the only one who subsequently roasted the Golden Globe winner for her comment.

“texting all my friends ‘well … I lost half a day of skiing’ next time any minor inconvenience befalls me,” one user tweeted Saturday.

Others joked that Paltrow should receive an Oscar for her performance on the stand, with one proposing a new Ryan Murphy “American Crime Story” series called “I Lost Half a Day of Skiing.”

Many referred to her testimony as “art.”

Paltrow’s husband, Brad Falchuk, and the two children she shares with ex Chris Martin — Apple, 18, and Moses, 16 — are set to take the stand before the trial’s expected March 30 end.

Teresa reveals why she didn’t want Melissa’s family at wedding

Holding on to grudges.

Teresa Giudice revealed that she didn’t invite Melissa Gorga’s family to her wedding because of a series of social media comments they made a decade ago.

“OK, I guess I’ll be honest. What happened 10 years ago is I got busy, and I guess they got jealous,” Giudice said in a confessional on Tuesday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

Giudice’s comment referred to her being cast as part of the original Jersey ladies in 2009, while Gorga didn’t get to join until Season 3.

The episode then flashed back to the infamous 2011 christening where Gorga’s sister Lysa Simpson told Giudice that her invitation to the family event was a “technicality.”

Teresa Giudice revealed that she didn’t invite Melissa Gorga’s side of the family to her wedding because of comments they made on social media a decade ago.
Bravo

“Melissa’s mother and sisters were writing stuff about me on social media, and I know my mother would never write about anybody on social media, so I always just kept my distance after that,” Giudice, 50, added in the confessional.

Gorga’s other sister, Kim Marco Pirrella, had written in 2011 that she liked Giudice “before all the craziness n diva n lies.”

And back in June 2012, Gorga’s mother, Donna Marco, had tweeted, “Here’s how you know teresa is lying, she’s faking.” Marco had also written in an Instagram comment that she was “upset with Teresa and the girls for the hurt Joe [Gorga] is going through.”

Giudice explained that she hasn’t forgotten the things her sister-in-law’s family said about her after the explosive 2011 christening.
Bravo

“I’ll forgive, but I never forget,” Giudice ominously concluded in the confessional.

Giudice’s now husband, Luis Ruelas, had a different approach to the situation and even apologized to Donna before asking her to not “hold it against me” during a group luau party at the Gorga’s Jersey Shore house.

“Never! I’m happy for you, I’m happy for her,” Donnna said while hugging Ruelas, 47.

Without talking to Giudice first, Ruelas apologized to Melissa’s mom for not inviting her to the wedding.
Bravo
Giudice said she was fine with Ruelas apologizing to Donna, because he wanted to be a “peacemaker.”
Bravo

Ruelas later told Giudice about his conversation with Donna and she gave him the green light to invite her after all.

“I’d love to invite Donna! Would you be mad at me?” Ruelas asked his future wife, to which she shook her head no.

Ruelas went to go invite Donna, but the olive branch couldn’t be fully extended as she had already left the party.

Melissa and Joe seemingly did not directly address Giudice about not inviting her side of the family.

“Do I wish that Luis would’ve discussed it with me prior to speaking Donna? Of course,” Giudice said in a confessional. “But I love Luis, [and] I know he’s trying to be a peacemaker.”

However, Giudice subtly shaded her brother, Joe Gorga, by saying that “all of this could’ve been avoided” with an honest conversation, but Joe “loves a spectacle.”

The couple’s decision to not invite Melissa’s mother and sisters previously led to an explosive argument between Joe, 48, and Ruelas at a boys’ night.

Joe previously called out his future brother-in-law for not giving his in-law the “respect” of an invitation.

“It’s like ‘F–k you, you mean nothing to me,’” Gorga told Ruelas before threatening to “break your f–king balls!”

Since Marco had left the party, it’s unclear if Giudice and Ruelas did invite her, but in the end, it didn’t matter.

As Page Six previously reported, the entire Gorga family skipped out on Giudice and Ruelas’ wedding on Aug. 6 after their tumultuous relationship reached an all-time low.

The two families have yet to repair their relationship.

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
