Tecno Spark 20C Spotted on Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG Certification Sites; Specifications Hinted: Report

Tecno Spark 10C made its debut in April this year as the latest model of the Tecno Spark 10 lineup. The smartphone will reportedly gets its successor in the Tecno Spark 20C. Months after the launch of the Tecno Spark 20 series, the company could soon debut the Spark 20C. According to the latest report, the purported smartphone was spotted on Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG certification sites, with the listing suggesting the handset’s specifications and confirming the moniker. This will be the fifth device in the Tecno Spark 20 lineup. 

The upcoming Tecno Spark 20C has surfaced on several certification sites, a report from MySmartPrice revealed. The listing on Bluetooth SIG is said to have confirmed the moniker of the new smartphone as Tecno Spark 20C (BG7). It is expected to get Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity support. 

Meanwhile, the Geekbench listing has suggested several other specifications of the smartphone. It could be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. For software, the smartphone is suggested to run Android 13 out-of-the-box with HiOS 13 skin on top. It has scored 168 on single-core test, and 928 on multi-core test, as per Geekbench. The Tecno Spark 20C is hinted to get 3.72GB of memory, which translates to 4GB RAM on paper. 

The listing doesn’t reveal any other information regarding the smartphone. Tecno is yet to announce or confirm the launch of the Tecno Spark 20C. Meanwhile, a previous report suggested that Tecno Spark 20 could launch in India by October or November. The smartphone is said to come equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. It could offer 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G With 6.9-inch Full-HD+ Flexible AMOLED Display Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G was unveiled on Friday and has also launched for India market. This is the second foldable smartphone by the company. The first foldable from the company, the Tecno Phantom V Fold was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2023 event in Barcelona earlier this year and later released in India in April. The Phantom V Flip clamshell foldable, details about which have previously been tipped extensively, is now available in two colour options. The handset comes with a circular outer display with the rear camera unit encircling it.

Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is offered in Iconic Black and Mystic Dawn colour options. The singular 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option of the handset is available in India at an early bird price of Rs. 49,999. The foldable will be available for purchase starting 12PM IST on October 1 on Amazon. The phone will soon be offered in other countries too, the company confirmed.

Sporting a 6.9-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) flexible AMOLED inner display, the Phantom V Flip 5G comes with a brightness level of 1000nits. The circular AMOLED cover panel with an Always-On display feature measures 1.32 inches with similar characteristics. Users will be able to reply to messages from the cover screen.

The clamshell foldable is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC paired with Arm Mali-G77 GPU, with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM virtually extendable up to 16GB, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage. It ships with Android 13.5 and promises to offer two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.

Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G Hands-on Video Leaked Online; Price in India Tipped

Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is confirmed to debut in Singapore on September 22. Just days ahead of the formal debut, Tecno has started accepting pre-reservations for the upcoming phone in Nigeria via mobile carrier MTN. Multiple leaks over the past few weeks have already suggested quite a lot about Tecno’s first clamshell foldable smartphone and most recently, a hands-on video of the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G has surfaced online. The video indicates the design of the upcoming flip phone. It is shown with a circular-shaped cover display and dual rear camera setup. Additionally, the India pricing of the device has also leaked on the Web.

As per a poster shared by Tecno on X, the company has started accepting pre-reservations for the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G through MTN in Nigeria. The smartphone is confirmed to be available in at least two colour options. Interested customers can pay NGN 1,00,000 (roughly Rs. 10,730) to pre-book the handset. MTN is providing two signature perfumes and 70GB of free data for customers placing the order. This deal is valid until September 27.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is speculated to be priced at NGN 5,49,000 (Rs.58,000) for the 256GB storage option in Nigeria. Meanwhile, tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) claims that the handset will be priced between Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 55,000 in India. 

Additionally, MySmartPrice has published an alleged hands-on video of the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G. The video indicates a circular cover display for quickly checking the notifications and accessing the camera among others. The cover display sits inside the camera island and two camera sensors and an LED flash are seen arranged around the cover display. The power key is placed on the right side and it is expected to double as a fingerprint scanner. The volume up and down buttons are also seen placed on the right side.

These design elements corroborate with what we’ve seen in older render leaks. The video suggests a design language similar to that of the ongoing Galaxy Z Flip 5, Oppo Find N2 Flip, and Moto Razr 40. However, it is worth taking these details with a pinch of salt.

The launch of Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is scheduled to take place in Singapore on September 22 at 3:30pm SGT (12:30pm IST). It will go on sale via Amazon in India.

The laptop features a backlit keyboard and has TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort Certification. The Megabook T1 further comes with a power key mounted fingerprint sensor.

A Newzonly report citing tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) has leaked the design renders of the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G. As per the images shared, the foldable phone is seen with a ring-like circular rear camera module that appears to be enclosing the cover display. The dual rear camera unit is accompanied by an LED flash unit.
