Redmi 13C Renders Leak Online; Waterdrop-Style Notch, 50-Megapixel Triple Rear Cameras Tipped

Redmi 13C could be inching towards its launch as its renders have surfaced online offering a glimpse into the possible design. The leaked renders suggest three colour options for the smartphone and it is seen with a waterdrop-style notch on the display. The screen appears to have thick bezels as well. In the leaked images, the Redmi 13C is seen with a triple rear camera unit. The Redmi 13C could succeed the Redmi 12C that went official in India in March this year.

MySmartPrice has published alleged renders of the Redmi 13C. The design of the handset looks nearly identical to its predecessor — Redmi 12C. It is shown in blue, black, and green colour options with slightly thick bezels on the sides. The handset appears to have a centrally placed waterdrop-style notch to house the selfie shooter.

On the back, Redmi 13C is seen carrying a triple rear camera setup along with an LED flash. The camera sensors appear to be arranged in a rectangular-shaped island at the upper left corner. The text beside the camera island indicates that the handset will pack a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The volume rockers and the power button are seen placed on the right edge.

The Redmi 13C is expected to arrive as a successor to the Redmi 12C. It might come as a budget offering. The Redmi 12C made its India debut in March with a price tag of Rs. 8,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 10,999.

Redmi 12C runs on Android 12-based MIUI 13 and features a 6.71-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixel) LCD display with a refresh rate of 60Hz. It runs on MediaTek Helio G85 SoC that comes paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It has a dual camera setup at the back, comprising a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. For selfies, it has a 5-megapixel front camera. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging.

Poco C55 Appears on IMDA Listing Ahead of Rumoured India Launch: Report

Poco C55 could launch in India soon. The phone has reportedly been spotted on the IMDA listing hinting at its imminent launch. While the IMDA listing does not give many details about the specifications of the purported POCO C55, it suggests support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The handset is said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C that has already been launched in China and hence could carry identical features. The Poco C55 is expected to feature a 6.71-inch HD+ display.

According to a report by Gizmochina, the upcoming Poco C55 has been approved by IMDA authority, Singapore. The listing reveals that the handset could carry Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity support. The phone also appeared on the EEC certification in Europe with model number 22127PC95G. The IMDA listing doesn’t reveal any crucial information on the device.

A few days back, however, reliable tipster Kacper Skrzypek (Twitter: @kacskrz) said that the upcoming Poco C55 will be a rebrand of the Redmi 12C, which was recently released in China. Thus, the upcoming Poco phone could come with the same features and specifications as the Redmi handset.

Redmi 12C was launched in China last month as a successor to the Redmi 10C. The phone houses a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, paired with a Mali-G52 GPU under its hood. The smartphone sports a polycarbonate body and plastic frame. It features a dual-camera unit, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor on its back panel. For selfies, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel camera sensor sitting in a tiny dew-drop notch design on the front.

The Redmi 12C comes with a 6.71-inch HD+ (1,650×720 pixels) resolution display with a 20:6:9 aspect ratio and 500 nits of peak brightness. It packs a 5,000mAh battery and comes with a 10W charging adapter. It is equipped with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 flash memory. The phone is a budget offering from the company priced at CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 8,400) for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

Poco C55 Tipped to Be a Rebranded Redmi 12C, Expected to Launch Soon

Poco launched the Poco C50 entry-level smartphone in India last week. It is now believed that the company could launch another Poco C-series smartphone soon. A reliable tipster now claims that the Poco C55 could soon be on its way to the global market. Interestingly, the tipster suggests that this smartphone could be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C that recently debuted in China. The Redmi 12C is a budget offering that sports a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a teardrop notch on the front.

Tipster Kacper Skrzypek (Twitter: @kacskrz) mentions in a recent tweet that the Redmi 12C will be launched globally as the Poco C55. This entry-level smartphone is also expected to arrive in India. The Redmi C series smartphones are all believed to be rebadged versions of Redmi handsets. Even the Poco C50 that was recently launched in India is said to be a rebadged [Redmi A1+].

If the Poco C50 is indeed a rebadged Redmi 12C, then it would boast similar specifications as the latter handset. To recall, the Redmi 12C features a 6.71-inch HD+ display with 500 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the handset packs an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, coupled with a Mali-G52 GPU.

The Redmi 12C features a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup with LED flash. There is also a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back. This smartphone gets a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well. It features up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 flash storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 512GB).

It gets a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired fast charging. The Redmi 12C features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro-USB port. This smartphone is offered in Shadow Black, Sea Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender colours.
