Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ Set to Launch in January 2024; Design, Key Specifications Confirmed

Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ is confirmed to launch early in 2024. It will join the Tecno Spark 20 and Tecno Spark 20 Pro, which were unveiled earlier in December in select markets. The company also announced some key specifications of the top-of-the-line Pro+ model. It is said to share some similarities with the Pro variant and bring in a few upgraded features. Alongside announcing the debut timeline and listing some details of the upcoming smartphone, Tecno also revealed the design of the Spark 20 Pro+.

Tecno announced that the Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ will be launched in January 2024. In a press release, the company confirmed that the phone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, the same chipset that is packed into the Tecno Spark 20 Pro. It added that the upcoming handset will ship with Android 14-based HiOS skin on top. 

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ is also confirmed to feature a 120Hz curved AMOLED display with a peak brightness level of 1,000 nits. The smartphone will also sport a 108-megapixel primary sensor at the back and a 32-megapixel sensor for the front camera, which are similar to the cameras on the Tecno Spark 20 Pro.

Meanwhile, the announcement post for the launch of the Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ also includes a promotional image that reveals the design of the handset. The handset is seen in a green colour leather finish option. A slightly raised circular camera module is placed on the top left corner of the back panel that holds individual camera sensors. A vertical LED flash unit is placed beside the camera module that the company says has a Quadrant Star Array design.

At the front, the Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ features a double curved design that offers users a comfortable grip, according to the company. The display is seen with thin bezels and a centred hole-punch slot at the top of the screen for the front camera.

Tecno Spark 20 4G, Spark 20 Pro Renders, Live Images Surface Online; Launch Timeline Tipped

Tecno Spark 20 series is expected to launch soon. The lineup is likely to include three models a Tecno Spark 20, Spark 20 Pro, and the Spark 20 Pro+. The purported Tecno Spark 20 4G and the Spark 20 Pro are likely to succeed the Tecno Spark 10 4G and Tecno Spark 10 Pro, respectively. Recently, design renders and live images of the base and pro models surfaced online. Several key specifications of the phones and the launch timeline of the phones have been leaked.

Tipster Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) shared leaked the design renders of the rumoured Tecno Spark 20 4G, which was also spotted on the Google Play Console database recently. The phone is seen in black, light blue, and white colour options. The back panel holds a rectangular camera module on the top left corner that includes two circular camera units and an LED flash unit.

The volume rockers and the power button are seen on the right edge of the Tecno Spark 20 4G in the images shared by the tipster. The front panel is seen with slim side and top bezels, a relatively thicker chin, and a centre-aligned hole-punch slot at the top to house the selfie camera.

Meanwhile, the Google Console listing suggested that the Tecno Spark 20 4G could come with an octa-core chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. The tipster has now added that the model will likely be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. The phone is also said to get 8GB of RAM and arrive in 128GB and 256GB storage variants.

The Tecno Spark 20 4G is likely to be equipped with a 50-megapixel AI-powered primary camera sensor, the tipster added. It is also expected to get a 32-megapixel sensor for its front camera. The tipster adds that the phone could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging support.

As per the tipster, the Tecno Spark 20 4G is likely to launch globally and in India in December this year. He added in a different post that the Tecno Spark 20 Pro and Tecno Spark 20 Pro+ are expected to be unveiled in January 2024. In the same post, he shared a live image of the base Spark 20 model, placed in its retail box. The phone is reportedly already making appearances in a few African markets.

The tipster also shared a hands-on image of the Tecno Spark 20 Pro in another post. The phone looks similar to the base variant but is seen with a bigger camera island. It is tipped to get a display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and could be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. The tipster adds that the phone is expected to carry a 32-megapixel front camera sensor, but the primary rear camera is tipped to use a 108-megapixel sensor.

Tecno Spark 20C Spotted on Geekbench, Bluetooth SIG Certification Sites; Specifications Hinted: Report

Tecno Spark 10C made its debut in April this year as the latest model of the Tecno Spark 10 lineup. The smartphone will reportedly gets its successor in the Tecno Spark 20C. Months after the launch of the Tecno Spark 20 series, the company could soon debut the Spark 20C. According to the latest report, the purported smartphone was spotted on Geekbench and Bluetooth SIG certification sites, with the listing suggesting the handset’s specifications and confirming the moniker. This will be the fifth device in the Tecno Spark 20 lineup. 

The upcoming Tecno Spark 20C has surfaced on several certification sites, a report from MySmartPrice revealed. The listing on Bluetooth SIG is said to have confirmed the moniker of the new smartphone as Tecno Spark 20C (BG7). It is expected to get Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity support. 

Meanwhile, the Geekbench listing has suggested several other specifications of the smartphone. It could be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. For software, the smartphone is suggested to run Android 13 out-of-the-box with HiOS 13 skin on top. It has scored 168 on single-core test, and 928 on multi-core test, as per Geekbench. The Tecno Spark 20C is hinted to get 3.72GB of memory, which translates to 4GB RAM on paper. 

The listing doesn’t reveal any other information regarding the smartphone. Tecno is yet to announce or confirm the launch of the Tecno Spark 20C. Meanwhile, a previous report suggested that Tecno Spark 20 could launch in India by October or November. The smartphone is said to come equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. It could offer 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. 

For optics, the smartphone is shown to carry a dual rear camera unit, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor. Tecno Spark 20 could pack a 5,000mAh battery with with support for 18W charging.
