Hoda Kotb Says Jenna Bush Hager Was “The Ringleader” At The ‘Today Show’ Holiday Party: “I’m Sort Of Ready To Go To The Sober Living House Where My Parents Live”

We wish we were invited to this party! Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager were coming off of a “holiday party extravaganza” during Monday’s (Dec. 11) broadcast when they dished about the Today Show holiday party that was held over the weekend.

Bush Hager joked that, after this weekend, “I’m sort of ready to go to the sober living house where my parents live.”

Kotb set the scene for the holiday party where all of the Today Show anchors were in attendance, according to a picture from the evening.

“Our Today Show crew got together for drinks. Now, this is how we party,” she said. “3 p.m. we meet, [and] for most people it was a wrap by 5 p.m., 5:30. That’s two hours of sitting there and talking and drinking. For others…” She trailed off before turning to Bush Hager and saying, “I heard you were the ringleader.”

Bush Hager appeared scandalized by the accusation. “I was NOT the ringleader,” she replied.

But Kotb continued. “I heard from sources that they said, ‘Let’s get the check.’ It was late, and sources say that you said, ‘One more round!’”

Her co-host denied the accusation, insisting that she “left first” that evening. “There was four of us standing, I won’t mention any names,” she began explaining. Kotb interjected to name the people in question, saying that Savannah Guthrie, Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer were also still there.

“That’s correct,” Bush Hager admitted. “It sounds like other people are narcing out.”

Bush Hager went on to say that she “did what Hoda does best” and left the party early because she “needed to get home.”

But the topic was still on Bush Hager’s mind later on, when she brought their conversation back to the accusations. “I am going to get back at those people who blamed it on me because I don’t appreciate it,” she said. “By the way, we were still home by 7 p.m.”

It sounds like she certainly knows how to keep the party going!

Today with Jenna and Hoda airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.

Kelly Clarkson explains why Taylor Swift sends her gifts

Taylor Swift does more than drop Easter eggs after the re-release of her albums. The musician also sends flowers to Kelly Clarkson — after every single “Taylor’s Version” album drops.

The “American Idol” Season 1 winner, 41, revealed the sweet gesture in a new interview.

“You know what’s so funny? She just sent me flowers,” she told E! News. “She’s so nice. She did. She was like, ‘Every time I release something’—’cause she just did 1989. I got that really cute cardigan, too.”

In 2019, Clarkson suggested via X (then formerly known as Twitter) that the “Midnights” singer should re-record her work. At the time, Scooter Braun’s company Ithaca Holdings LLC acquired her former label Big Machine Label Group and obtained the rights to the masters for her first six studio albums.

Despite the advice, the “Kelly Clarkson Show” host insists Swift probably would have come up with that idea on her own too.

“I love how kind she is though,” Clarkson continued. “She’s a very smart businesswoman. So, she would have thought of that. But it just sucks when you see artists that you admire and you respect really wanting something and it’s special to them. You know if they’re going to find a loophole, you find a loophole. And she did it and literally is, like, the best-selling artist I feel like of all-time now.”

The mom of two went on to note that it’s “so cool to see a fanbase” like the Swifties really getting behind Swift, 33.

“She’s known for being such an incredible songwriter and the soundtrack to a lot of people’s lives and that’s her life. So, you should have the option of owning that,” she concluded.

Swift, meanwhile, is currently back on tour. After a brief break, she picked back up the Eras Tour concert in Argentina on Thursday night. However, it appears her new rumored beau, Travis Kelce, was not in attendance.

An insider close to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, told Page Six Wednesday that the athlete was traveling to see the pop star perform over the weekend. However, they didn’t specify which show he planned to attend.

Last month, Clarkson actually joked about Swift and Kelce’s romance, saying that the NFL panning to Swift at his games made it feel like she was watching a “Housewives” episode instead of football.

“It is hilarious how it is literally taking over the NFL for people [like me] who like watching sports,” she said at the time. “It’s like you’re watching gossip things. What about the [game] play?”

Jennette McCurdy reads email from abusive mom on ‘Red Table Talk’

Jennette McCurdy shared a disturbing email from her abusive late mother, Debbie McCurdy, during her “Red Table Talk” debut.

The actress, 30, read the message aloud to the Facebook Watch show’s co-hosts, Adrienne Banfield Norris, Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith, while discussing her new memoir, “I’m Glad My Mom Died.”

“I am so disappointed in you,” Debbie began the email, which was also included in the book.

“You used to be my perfect little angel, but now you are nothing more than a little … slut, a floozy, all used up,” Jennette read in People’s sneak peek of the upcoming episode, noting that her mom used “all caps” for the insults.

Debbie slammed the “iCarly” alum for being with a “hideous ogre of a man” and “rubbing his disgusting hairy stomach” on a “website called TMZ.”

Adrienne Banfield Norris, Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith reacted to the email with shock.

After calling Jennette a “conniving, evil … liar,” Debbie went on to write, “You look pudgier, too. It’s clear you’re eating your guilt. Thinking of you with his ding-dong inside of you makes me sick. Sick! I raised you better than this.”

Debbie asked where her “good little girl” had gone, adding, “Where did she go and who is this monster that has replaced her? You’re an ugly monster now. I told your brothers about you, and they all said they disown you just like I do. We want nothing to do with you.”

The email concluded, “P.S. Send money for a new fridge; ours broke.”

McCurdy initially shared the email in her memoir.

As Smith, 21, said, “Wow,” Jennette laughed at the message’s closing.

“The P.S. gets me,” the “Sam & Cat” alum said.

The mother-daughter pair were estranged by the time Debbie died in 2013. Seven years later, the former Nickelodeon star performed her one-woman show, “I’m Glad My Mom Died,” in Los Angeles and New York.

In interviews promoting her book of the same name, which was published in August, Jennette spoke candidly about the eating disorders she struggled with as her mom weighed her, measured her thighs and counted her calories.

“Grief for me toward my mom used to be really complicated,” the singer said on “Good Morning America” last month, explaining that writing the book played a huge role in her “healing” journey.

“I felt like she didn’t deserve my tears and my sadness since she was abusive, but it simplified in a really relieving way and now feels like I’m able to just miss her,” she said.

Jennette’s “Red Table Talk” episode premieres Wednesday.
