Kelly Clarkson explains why Taylor Swift sends her gifts

Taylor Swift does more than drop Easter eggs after the re-release of her albums. The musician also sends flowers to Kelly Clarkson — after every single “Taylor’s Version” album drops.

The “American Idol” Season 1 winner, 41, revealed the sweet gesture in a new interview.

“You know what’s so funny? She just sent me flowers,” she told E! News. “She’s so nice. She did. She was like, ‘Every time I release something’—’cause she just did 1989. I got that really cute cardigan, too.”

In 2019, Clarkson suggested via X (then formerly known as Twitter) that the “Midnights” singer should re-record her work. At the time, Scooter Braun’s company Ithaca Holdings LLC acquired her former label Big Machine Label Group and obtained the rights to the masters for her first six studio albums.

Despite the advice, the “Kelly Clarkson Show” host insists Swift probably would have come up with that idea on her own too.

“I love how kind she is though,” Clarkson continued. “She’s a very smart businesswoman. So, she would have thought of that. But it just sucks when you see artists that you admire and you respect really wanting something and it’s special to them. You know if they’re going to find a loophole, you find a loophole. And she did it and literally is, like, the best-selling artist I feel like of all-time now.”

The mom of two went on to note that it’s “so cool to see a fanbase” like the Swifties really getting behind Swift, 33.

“She’s known for being such an incredible songwriter and the soundtrack to a lot of people’s lives and that’s her life. So, you should have the option of owning that,” she concluded.

Swift, meanwhile, is currently back on tour. After a brief break, she picked back up the Eras Tour concert in Argentina on Thursday night. However, it appears her new rumored beau, Travis Kelce, was not in attendance.

An insider close to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, told Page Six Wednesday that the athlete was traveling to see the pop star perform over the weekend. However, they didn’t specify which show he planned to attend.

Last month, Clarkson actually joked about Swift and Kelce’s romance, saying that the NFL panning to Swift at his games made it feel like she was watching a “Housewives” episode instead of football.

“It is hilarious how it is literally taking over the NFL for people [like me] who like watching sports,” she said at the time. “It’s like you’re watching gossip things. What about the [game] play?”

Jay Leno shows off his ‘brand new face’ after suffering third-degree burns

Jay Leno joked he’s got a “brand new face” during an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Wednesday.

The former “Tonight Show” host endured a horrific car fire accident on Nov. 12 that left him with third-degree burns on his face, chest, and hands.

The 72-year-old was met with loud applause from the audience as he sat down to chat with the “Since U Been Gone” singer about his injuries.

“You look great though,” Clarkson told Leno, to which he replied, “This is a brand-new face.”

“It is, it’s unbelievable,” Leno continued. “What happened, I was working on a car and I got a full face of gasoline and it caught fire. And I had been eating a flaming hot Dorito and when I bit into it, it set my face on,” he quipped.

“It was interesting. It was all third-degree burns, it was pretty bad. It was pretty bad.”

“You can’t tell at all,” Clarkson chimed in.

“No, you think there’d be a zipper here or something,” he joked. “No, this is like a brand-new face.”

“Only for the second time in my career am I the new face of comedy,” he added.

In December, the funnyman and car fanatic revealed what caused the fiery explosion in his garage.

“It was a 1907 White Steam Car. The fuel line was clogged, so I was underneath it,” he said of working on the vintage car — alongside close friend David Killackey — during a talk with “Today” anchor Hoda Kotb. “It sounded clogged and I said, ‘Blow some air through the line,’ and so he did.”

Leno said the fuel line made a noise, “and suddenly, boom, I got a face full of gas. And then the pilot light jumped and my face caught on fire.”

Jay Leno joked and said one would “think there’d be a zipper” on his face when Kelly Clarkson acknowledged how well his face recovered.

Luckily, Leno said Killackey acted fast.

“I said to my friend, I said, ‘Dave, I’m on fire.’ And Dave’s like, ‘All right.’ I said, ‘No, Dave, I’m on fire.’ And then, ‘Oh, my God.’ Dave, my friend, pulled me out and jumped on top of me and kind of smothered the fire,” he recalled.

Leno was taken to Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles, where he was treated for third-degree burns during a 10-day stay. Leno also received skin grafts and another surgical procedure.

His recovery was made worse just weeks after the ordeal when he broke multiple bones in a freak motorcycle accident.

Leno revealed details of the second accident after the Las Vegas Review-Journal questioned him about the car fire.

“That was the first accident, OK?” he said last month. “Then just last week, I got knocked off my motorcycle. So I’ve got a broken collarbone. I’ve got two broken ribs. I’ve got two cracked kneecaps.”

During his appearance, Leno and Clarkson gifted the three nurses who treated the talk show host with a three-night vacation to the Bahamas.

Dwayne Johnson Fans Stunned by Country Duet with Kelly Clarkson (Even Though He Sang in ‘Moana’)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson showed off his vocal chops on yesterday’s (Oct. 17) episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. During the Kellyoke segment, the talk show host welcomed the former wrestler to the stage to duet “Don’t Come Home a Drinkin’” by the late Loretta Lynn — and fans couldn’t believe his singing voice, despite it being all over Moana. Forgot about that, didn’t you?

The performance came two weeks after the famed country singer’s death on October 4 at the age of 90. During the course of her career, Lynn had four songs on Billboard’s Hot 100, including, “The Pill”, “Coal Miner’s Daughter”, “After the Fire is Gone”, and “I Want to Be Free”. In 1980, her life was depicted in the film Coal Miner’s Daughter, starring Sissy Spacek as Lynne.

Johnson’s performance of her 1967 hit didn’t come out of nowhere. He told Clarkson that he has long admired Lynne’s music and, as a child, dreamt of being a country singer.

“I love Loretta Lynn, I really did. I loved her growing up,” Johnson said.

He shared that he grew up on “traditional country music” and lived Nashville when he was 15 years old. At the time, Johnson would “walk the streets” singing country classics, like Hank Williams Jr.’s “Old Habits”, in hopes of somebody discovering him as the next big talent.

However, he said, “It didn’t happen for me.”

Viewers were stunned by Johnson belting Lynn. One commentator on YouTube wrote, “This is unexpected, didn’t know Dwayne sang until now and loved his low voice that matches with Kelly’s high notes” and another tweeted, “I would have never guessed The Rock could sing.”

But here’s the thing, this isn’t the first time Johnson has brought out his velvety vocals. Back in 2016, the actor showed off his talent as the cocky demi-god Maui in Disney’s animated musical Moana, in which Johnson performed the solo song “You’re Welcome”. The catchy tune was released as a single and still manages to resurface on TikTok every now and then.

That said: who knew he was a country boy?
