The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer: No Helmet, Mandalorian No More

The Mandalorian season 3 teaser trailer is here. At Disney’s D23 Expo 2022, Lucasfilm unveiled the first trailer from the upcoming third season of the Pedro Pascal-led Star Wars series. Pascal was on stage at D23 alongside cast members Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Emily Swallow (The Armorer), Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), and Amy Sedaris (Peli Motto), and The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni. The first The Mandalorian season 3 trailer is full of action and a tease at Mando’s continued adventures with Grogu/ Baby Yoda, after they were reunited in The Book of Boba Fett. Also, The Mandalorian season 3 has seemingly been delayed.

“This is the one you saved?” The Armorer (Swallow) says via voiceover at the start of the first The Mandalorian season 3 trailer, as we are shown shots from season 2 before switching to present day. “You are as its father. A clan… of two.” As the Mandalorian heads into new adventures, The Armorer’s voiceover continues: “But you have removed your helmet. Then you are a Mandalorian no more.” In another glimpse at an action scene, we see the Mandalorian’s new spaceship — created in The Book of Boba Fett — being chased by a pack.

Elsewhere in the first The Mandalorian season 3 trailer, Bo-Katan has some choice words for the Mandalorian after he goes to see her: “Your cult fractured our people. Where were you then?” As a bunch of Bo-Katan-affiliated Mandalorians head on a mission — the shot of them dropping out of a spaceship is very cool — one of them asks Grogu: “Did you think your dad was the only Mandalorian?” I’m guessing Baby Yoda is confused by how everyone around him roams around in helmets?

The last 30 seconds of The Mandalorian season 3 teaser trailer brings back the scientist Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi), as well as Mando’s friend and bounty hunter guild leader Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) who’s dressed in some kind of royal attire as he meets with a bunch of suspicious individuals. And is that a 3PO-series protocol droid I see behind Greef? The first The Mandalorian season 3 trailer ends with a shot of Peli Motto (Sedaris), more action scene snippets, and Grogu witnessing fireworks.

The Mandalorian season 3 is coming in 2023 on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar. Given we had previously been told of a February 2023 release window, the lack of a month in the trailer suggests a delay. With Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 2 set for January 2023, I suppose it makes sense that Lucasfilm wouldn’t want two Star Wars series to collide with each other.

Andor Final Trailer: War Erupts as the Rebellion Sets Their Plan in Motion in Star Wars Series

Andor, the upcoming Star Wars original series, just got a final trailer. At D23 Expo 2022 on Saturday, Lucasfilm unveiled the final trailer for the Diego Luna-led prequel show. Set before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the 12-episode series follows rebel spy Cassian Andor’s journey, as he goes up against the oppressive Empire. Billed as a spy thriller, Andor debuts exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar with a three-episode premiere on September 21.

The final trailer for Andor begins with a voiceover by the titular hero (Luna), acknowledging the “terrible things” he has committed on behalf of the Rebellion. As he prepares to infiltrate the Empire headquarters, he is stopped by Luther Rael (Stellan Skarsgård), who warns him of the lost cause. “It don’t matter what you tell me or tell yourself. You’ll ultimately die fighting these bastards,” he says, as Andor tries evading incoming bullets.

Andor final trailer in Hindi

The Andor trailer then switches sides to show the Empire, who are somehow aware of the Rebellion’s plans. “There is an organised rebel effort. Drill down and get a hunt started,” orders Dedra Meero, — played by Denise Gough — a high-ranking Imperial officer who has taken a dislike to Andor over the years. Little does she know, there is a rat within her organisation.

On the exterior, Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) might be a senator of the Empire. But in reality, she is conspiring with Rael to help found the Rebel Alliance, despite knowing what it’s going to cost her. “Do you realise what you’ve set in motion? People will suffer” she tells a determined Rael.

The remaining trailer blends into a montage of riots as the two teams clash, creating havoc and sparking a bit of romance between Andor and Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona) — though it’s a little complicated. Andor also stars Forest Whitaker as Saw Guerrera, Kyle Soller, and Fiona Shaw. Tony Gilroy (Bourne trilogy) serves as creator and showrunner of the Star Wars series, and has already announced a second season — completing the saga in a total 24 episodes.

Andor premieres September 21, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. Disney and Lucasfilm have also revealed a new poster for the new Star Wars show, as seen below.

Andor Season 2: Here’s How the Star Wars Spin-Off Series Plans to Handle Time Jumps

Andor showrunner Tony Gilroy has revealed how the Disney+ series, which chronicles the five years leading up to the titular character’s death in Rogue One, will tackle time jumps in the second season. In an interview, he said that the 12-episode Andor season 2 will be divided into four blocks of three episodes with each segment covering a year of the rebel pilot Cassian Andor’s life. Gilroy, however, did not give out any plot details as those are most probably under wraps given the fact that the first season of the Diego Luna-led Star Wars spin-off prequel series, revolving around the first year, is yet to air.

Gilroy told The Empire: “The scale of the show is so huge. Directors work in blocks of three episodes, so we did four blocks [in Season 1] of three episodes each. [For Season 2] we looked and said, ‘Wow, it’d be really interesting if we come back, and we use each block to represent a year.”

“ We’ll move a year closer with each block…’ from a narrative point of view, it’s really exciting to be able to work on something where you do a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and then jump a year”

Andor season 2 is set to begin production sometime this Autumn but is yet to get a release date. There’s also no word on who’ll be joining Luna for the second instalment

We do, however, know that — besides Luna — Andor season 1 cast includes Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Genevieve O’Reilly, Forest Whitaker, Robert Emms, and David Hayman.

While not a lot is known about the plot, Gilroy had said: “It’s about him being really revolution-averse, and cynical, and lost, and kind of a mess.”

Andor debuts August 31 on Disney+. In India, the latest Star Wars spin-off will be available on the same day via Disney+ Hotstar. It is set to be followed by a second season, which will feature time jumps.

NASA and Star Wars: These Fictional Worlds From the Franchise Bear an Uncanny Resemblance to the Real World

NASA shared a special surprise for Star Wars’ fans on May 4, revealing how the fictional series is inspired from the real world. The franchise has presented a fictional world to its viewers, making it difficult to imagine that the planets shown in the series would have any relation to the our universe. It turns out, they do. The space agency has shared details of several planets shown in the series that surprisingly look similar to real-world planets. If you’re a fan of the Star Wars, it will not be a task to identify which world from the franchise resemble planets that exist in the real life.

First up in NASA‘s Instagram post was Hoth, an icy world, which is home to deadly creatures like the wampa. It was shown in the 1980 Stars Wars movie, The Empire Strikes Back.

Hoth is much like Pluto, says NASA. The dwarf planet can reach temperatures as low as minus 240 degrees Celsius, cold enough to worry even a tauntaun, which is a fictional species of non-sentient lizards native to the snowy plains of Hoth. As shared by NASA, Pluto’s surface has abundant mountains, valleys, plains, as well as craters of frozen water. The planet also contains gases like methane.

Next was Mustafar, first seen in 2005 film, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. The volcanic world shares a resemblance to Venus, the second planet from the sun. The thick atmosphere helps in hiding the surface, which is usually covered with impact craters, lava flows, and quake faults.

The third in pictures is Geonosis, the site of the first battle of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars, released in 2008. The rugged dry landscape makes it easy to recognise the planet. The surface has a powerful red hue of its soil and stone. “It’s no surprise that the concept of Geonosis was partially inspired by the landscapes visible on the real-world red planet—Mars,” NASA wrote in the caption.

Finally, there is Endor, which was introduced in the 1983 film Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. It looks similar to the largest of Jupiter‘s moons, Ganymede, and generates its own magnetic field. New evidence from NASA Hubble telescope suggests Ganymede has a massive underground saltwater ocean, containing more water than on all of Earth.

What do you think of NASA’s connection with the fictional world of Star Wars?

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 Releasing in 2023 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series S/X: Report

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 is reportedly going to release in 2023 — exclusively for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. Furthermore, the sequel might ditch the Fallen Order name from its title. Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment were previously expected to release the sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order in October this year. This reported delay might have stemmed from the developer’s rumoured intent to release the sequel solely on next-generation consoles.

This alleged information comes from the latest episode of GrubbSnax, hosted by VentureBeat reporter Jeff Grubb. As previously mentioned, he claims that EA and Respawn Entertainment have decided to push the release date of the sequel to the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to 2023. The exclusion of the PS4 and Xbox One consoles is expected to free up the dev team to “do something that feels new.”

According to Grubb, EA might officially reveal this game at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration event, which will be held at the Anaheim Convention Centre between May 26 and May 29.

Back in January, EA had announced that it is teaming with Lucasfilm Games to release three Star Wars games. The development of two of these games is being handled directly by Respawn. One of these is the rumoured Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 which is being headed by Stig Asmussen, who also directed the first Fallen Order game.

There is also a new Star Wars first-person shooter in the works under Peter Hirschmann of the Star Wars Battlefront fame. The third one is a strategy game being developed in collaboration with the newly founded Bit Reactor studio and Greg Foerstch. Foerstch has done notable art and design work for Firaxis Games for Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri, Alien Crossfire, Civilization III, and more.

That’s not all. With Lucasfilm ending the EA exclusivity, there are more Star Wars games in the works. Ubisoft-owned Massive Entertainment, developers of The Division, are making an open-world Star Wars game. Aspyr is handling a remake of Knights of the Old Republic for PC and PS5 (a timed console exclusive). Quantic Dream is developing the action-adventure Star Wars Eclipse that will feature multiple playable characters. And lastly, Skydance New Media and Amy Hennig are leading another game.
