Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a Get Massive Discounts During Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale

Google Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7a will go on sale at heavily discounted prices during the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. The Pixel 7 Pro is powered by Google’s second-generation Tensor G2 chip and was introduced by Google last year during its Made by Google 2022 hardware launch event, and was priced at Rs. 84,999. When the Big Billion Days sale kicks off in a day, the Pixel 7 Pro price in India is set to drop under the Rs. 60,000 mark in the country. Similarly, the mid-range Pixel 7a will also be sold at a discounted price during the sale.

According to a teaser posted on a microsite for the upcoming Big Billion Days sale on Flipkart, the Pixel 7 Pro price in India will drop to Rs. 58,999 during the sale. It is worth noting that the price of the handset is currently listed at Rs. 63,999 and you will need to avail of bank card offers in order to purchase the handset at the discounted price. You can also avail of an additional discount to lower the price of the handset even further by up to Rs. 32,000, on exchanging an eligible smartphone.

Similarly, the Pixel 7a, which was launched in India earlier this year at Rs. 43,999, will be available at Rs. 31,499 during the upcoming Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, according to the teaser posted to the company’s sale event microsite. The handset is currently listed at its original retail price on the website, and you will be able to avail of bank offers to lower the price of the handset. Exchanging an eligible smartphone can also lower the price further by an additional Rs. 30,600, as per the listing on Flipkart.

The flagship Google Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7a both run on Android 13 out-of-the-box and can be upgraded to Android 14, which was rolled out on October 4. These handsets are powered by the same Tensor G2 chipset found on the Pixel 7 series, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The Pro model sports a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 7a features a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The Pixel 7 Pro is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 30x Super Resolution Zoom and 5x optical zoom. The Pixel 7a has a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera. For selfies and video chats, the Pro model has a 10.8-megapixel selfie camera, while the Pixel 7a has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Pro model has up to 256GB of inbuilt storage, while you get only 128GB with the Pixel 7a. Both handsets are equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric unlocking along with face unlock support. Both phones also feature fast wired charging along with wireless charging support. They are claimed to offer 72 hours of battery life when the Extreme Battery Saver mode is enabled.

The new Google Pixel 7a is priced at Rs. 43,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model in India. It is offered in Chalk, Snow and Sea colour options and is currently available for purchase in India via Flipkart.

The Pixel 7, on the other hand, was launched in October last year with a price tag of Rs. 59,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. It is available in Snow, Obsidian, and Lemongrass colour options and is currently listed on Flipkart with a starting price tag of 56,999.

Both Pixel 7a and Pixel 7 run on Android 13. In terms of display, the latest device features a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 7, on the other hand, has a 6.32-inch full-HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 7a and Pixel 7 are powered by Google’s second-generation Tensor G2 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM.

Coming to the cameras, the Pixel 7a and Pixel 7 are equipped with a dual camera setup. Google Pixel 7a With Tensor G2 SoC, 64-Megapixel Camera Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Google Pixel 7a has been launched as a part of Google’s product presentation that kicked off its I/O 2023 developer event. The handset 7a was launched alongside other Pixel products, which includes the new Pixel Fold foldable and the Pixel Tablet. The Pixel 7a continues the more affordable lineup of Google’s A-series smartphones, but gets some big upgrades. There’s a new design inspired by the premium Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones, a new processor, cameras, and new features like wireless charging.

The Pixel 7a will be available in an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 43,999 and will go on sale on Flipkart from May 11. As part of launch offer, buyers can get an instant discount of Rs. 4,000 when purchasing the phone using HDFC Bank cards. This brings the price down to Rs. 39,999. The Pixel 7a will be available in three finishes – Charcoal, Snow, and Sea.

The Google Pixel 7a offers a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is a first for the Pixel A-series as older phones have always gone with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 screen and also comes with HDR support. The phone’s fingerprint scanner is embedded in the display.

Google has upgraded the Pixel 7a’s processor to its latest Tensor G2 SoC, which also powers its premium Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones. The processor, which also comes with its Titan M2 security co-processor, is offered with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Communication standards include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3 and NFC along with support for the usual global positioning systems. There’s a USB Type-C (3.2 Gen 2) port at the bottom.

The phone comes with a 4,385mAh battery, which is smaller than the Pixel 6a‘s battery, and does not offer a charger in the box. However, Google has for the first time included wireless charging with the Pixel 7a and it supports the Qi charging standard.

For optics, the cameras on the phone have seen a noticeable upgrade over the previous model. The Pixel 7a offers a 64-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). The ultra wide-angle camera has also been upgraded to a 13-megapixel sensor and the same goes for the selfie camera, which now has a 13-megapixel sensor. The phone measures 152mm x 72.9mm x 9mm in terms of dimensions and weighs 193.5g.

The phone offers the Google Pixel software experience with Android 13 and thanks to the updated Tensor G2 SoC also brings camera features like faster Night Sight, Long Exposure modes to the Pixel 7a.
