Amazon’s Spring Beauty Premiere Event offers up to 58% off

Beauty: it’s one of the nicest things to look at in the world.

And before you start; yes, we acknowledge that beauty exists both inside and out. A beautiful soul might not have the face to match, and vice versa. But here we’re talking about beauty as defining by the Beauty Industry: glowing, dewy, skin with no signs of acne, dark circles, or aging, and long, soft, striking, well-kept and defined hair, and a set of chompers so white and gleaming you’d think their owner had never had a cup of coffee.

Of course, these standards are unachievable. But for every problem, (especially the ones the Beauty Industry defines) there exists a solution, and occasionally those solutions (in the form of serums, moisturizers, creams, teeth whitening kits, shampoos, scrubs, and more), go on sale.

One such sale is Amazon’s Spring Beauty Premiere Event, offering up to 58% off favorite brands like The Body Shop, Revlon, Colgate, and more. From now until Apr. 8, you can beautify to your heart’s content, without the typically unbeautiful bill, through Amazon.

Below, we’ve highlighted our nine favorite deals from the Amazon’s Spring Beauty Event. Read on, click through, and put your best face forward this spring.

Colgate promises you can remove 10 years of stains in just three days with this Optic White ComfortFit Teeth Whitening Kit, which comes with an LED Light and a whitening pen, now on sale from Amazon.

Best antivirus software, per a cybersecurity expert

Much like the best password protector services out there, investing in antivirus software isn’t as expensive as you would think — and it provides a safety net for your online data.

Not to mention, when investing in quality smart home devices — like your treasured laptops and desktops — you want to make sure that hefty purchase isn’t being compromised.

Luckily, one of the 13 best antivirus software programs of 2023 can help.

“A computer virus is a malicious piece of software that spreads between computers and can harm your computer or steal your information,” David Bader, PhD, distinguished professor of data science at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) told the New York Post. “For instance, viruses can delete your files, watch your keystrokes (and grab your login information for your online bank account), or turn your computer into a weapon to attack corporate or government websites.”

For unmatched protection, check out the best antivirus software programs, as vetted by our cybersecurity expert. For more on what these entail — including what malware, spyware and adware actually mean — check out our FAQ section below.

Amazon

For the past 35 years, McAfee has held a premium spot as one of the earliest and best-known companies offering antivirus software. It offers antivirus software for all major platforms (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS). “McAfee has a 30-day free trial with “all-in-one” protection that includes a VPN for privacy when using public WiFi networks, web protection to avoid phishing scams, identity monitoring, and more,” Bader adds.

For new customers, McAfee’s basic edition protects up to five devices and costs $35 for the first year and $85 per year after that. For an additional $45 per year, the premium edition adds parental controls and protects up to ten devices, and for another $30 per year, McAfee’s ultimate edition protects an unlimited number of devices and includes $1 million of identity theft coverage and identity restoration assistance.

Amazon

As one of the names synonymous with computer security, per Bader, Norton has been offering antivirus software for just over thirty years. From its AntiVirus Plus to its 360 Deluxe version, it has a slew of digital products for you to shop.

The Antivirus Plus offers protection for a single PC or Mac at $10 for the first year, and $60 a year thereafter. This service includes Anti-Spyware, 2GB of cloud backup, a smart firewall, a password manager and an online privacy monitor, too.

If you’d like more protection on your smartphone and tablet, its 360 bundle is $85 per year (now on sale for just $30!), upping the cloud backup to 10GB and including a VPN for public WiFi use. For more protection including for smartphones and tablets, Norton offers its Norton 360 bundles with the standard version ($85/year) increasing the cloud backup to 10GB, and incorporating a VPN for public WiFi use.

3. AVG Ultimate, $60 for the first year

Amazon

AVG Ultimate offers antivirus protection for PC, Mac, Android, and iOIS, and costs $60 for the first year, and $128 per year after that, for protecting up to 10 devices. In addition to antivirus protection, AVG Ultimate also has an array of nifty features:

  • Capabilities to manage battery profiles: This enables you to maximize your computer, smartphone, or tablet’s performance while minimizing battery use.
  • Device lock: This stops unwanted visitors from accessing your phone.
  • Startup optimizer: This stops software you don’t use or care about from slowing down your device’s time to boot up.
  • Payment protection: This encrypts and keeps safe all of your online payments from the prying eyes of hackers.
  • Smart photo cleaner: This finds duplicate and poor-quality photos on your device and deletes them to free up space.
  • Browser and disk cleaner: This finds and erases junk files.
  • Sensitive data shield: This secures your most sensitive files.
  • GPS tracking: This helps to find a lost device.

“AVG Ultimate includes this whole bundle of security-related tools and services without having to buy additional packages,” Bader adds.

Amazon

Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, impressively, protects up to three Windows devices from viruses including malware, spyware and adware. It’s $30 for the first year and $60 per year thereafter.

Bader calls this a “no-frills product,” with the next plan level, Bitdefender Internet Security is $80 per year and includes a firewall and parental controls. “The ultimate plan, Bitdefender Total Security, is $90 per year, includes protection for up to five devices and is the only plan that also protects every OS (Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS) as well as including a device optimizer that places your device in game, movie, and work modes to save the battery while maximizing performance.”

Amazon

Providing baseline antivirus protection, Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus secures your data on one Windows or Mac device at $30 for the first year and $40 each year after. “Its claim is that it runs 60x faster than the scan time of other tested competitor antivirus products and takes 20 seconds to check your computer for malware by being fully cloud-based,” Bader said.

What’s more, Webroot offers a VPN for WiFi Security for up to three devices along with antivirus software at $110 a year.

Cylance

“Cylance technology is now incorporated into BlackBerry Cybersecurity and being incorporated into BlackBerry’s unified endpoint security solution,” Bader explains.

This integrated threat prevention solution combines artificial intelligence (AI) to help “block malware infections with additional security controls that safeguard against script-based, fileless, memory, and external device-based attacks,” per its site. After taking a consultation, you’ll receive a quote, which is usually $45 per block of data protection.

Emsisoft

Only available for Windows, Emsisoft Anti-Malware has a 30-day free trial and then costs $30 per year for each device. “The software also includes extensive protections for finding and removing malware from your system and malware removal assistance,” Bader notes.

ESET

For just $40 a year, ESET NOD32 Antivirus secures each Windows and Mac device while including malware, ransomware, and phishing protection. At $50 per year, ESET Internet Security “also protects Android devices and includes two additional protection features for privacy and banking and for network and smart devices,” Bader explains.

The ultimate protection, however, is ESET Smart Security Premium: $60 per year per device with an included password manager, sensitive data encryption and protection against new threats. “It’s disappointing, though, that a customer must buy this higher cost package to be protected against never-before-seen threats,” Bader commented.

F-Secure

As one of the oldest antivirus companies — founded in 1988 — F-Secure “has a strong international presence in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific regions,” per Bader. It’s available for Windows only and costs $36 per year to protect one computer or $40 for up to three computers.

“F-Secure has additional security product add-ons including F-Secure SAFE for internet security ($70 for up to three devices per year), F-Secure FREEDOME VPN for secure and private browsing ($55 for up to three devices per year), and F-Secure ID PROTECTION for secure passwords and online identity ($60 for up to five devices per year),” Bader said. The premium package from F-Secure, TOTAL, provides full online protection at $90 a year for up to three devices.

Amazon

G DATA Software is a German cybersecurity company that “claims to have made the first antivirus software in 1987,” Bader notes. The G DATA Antivirus protection for a single Windows PC costs $30 for the first year and $40 per year thereafter, while the Mac version is a bit more expensive at $40 for the first year and $55 each year after.

“G DATA also offers an Internet Security package with a firewall and parental monitoring at $55 per year per device, and a Total Security bundle for $70 per year per device that includes a password manager, encrypted backups, access control, and an integrated tuner for performance and security,” Bader adds.

Amazon

If you frequent the Internet often, you’ve likely heard of Malwarebytes Premium: an antivirus software for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Chrome, costing $40 per year for one device or $80 per year for up to five devices. It includes both antivirus protection and a browser guard, too.

“For $100 a year for up to five devices, Malwarebytes Premium + Privacy includes a VPN for safe WiFi-only protection,” Bader highlights. “A free Windows version can be used to clean up an infected computer and limited trials to for the other antivirus protections.”

Sophos

Sophos Home Premium costs $45 for all of your Windows and Mac devices and is “basic antivirus software that scans and cleans malware from your system, protects your privacy online, and has parental web filtering,” per Bader. Conveniently, there are no complicated add-ons and upgraded packages.

“Sophos Home Premium keeps the package simple to buy and use, with everything included,” he adds.

Amazon

“Trend Micro’s Internet Security software for Windows only includes online privacy controls and fixes and optimizes systems, and costs $80 per year for up to three devices,” Bader said.

Its basic package, Antivirus+Security, protects a single Windows PC from viruses and ransomware and costs $20 for the first year and $40 for each year thereafter. Uniquely, Trend Micro’s Maximum Security bundle is the only product from Trend Micro for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Chromebooks, that “includes a password manager and secures mobile devices along with the antivirus protection” and costs $90 per year for up to five devices,” Bader said.

An FAQ on Antivirus Software

Getty Images

What is a computer virus?

Nobody likes them, but it’s important to know how these pesky tech inconveniences and breaches begin.

“Viruses can propagate in many ways such as through email attachments, unwitting downloads from infected websites, and through shared USB memory sticks,” Bader explains. “Antivirus software exists for all popular computing platforms (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS) and scans your system, memory, and files (including downloads) for known viruses.”

When the antivirus software detects a virus, it may take several actions including cleaning the virus from the system and placing infected files in quarantine.

What benefits come with some antivirus software, besides protection?

Aside from giving you (and your files) peace of mind, Bader highlights other add-ons some programs include.

“Antivirus software often comes bundled with other security features such as secure password keepers, protection against clicking on malicious links to websites and scans of the dark web to find if your information has been compromised and potentially sold to hackers,” he notes.

What does malware mean?

Malware is malicious software that you may receive through an email attachment or other file transfer that can take over your computer if you run it.  “Be cautious when clicking on links in the body of emails from unknown or faked senders, or opening any file sent to you that you weren’t expecting,” Bader tips off. “These are the main ways hackers send you malware.”

What does spyware mean?

More niche, spyware is a type of malware that watches everything you do on the computer and steals information. “For instance, spyware can monitor your keystrokes for all of your passwords, including ones for your bank accounts, social media, and email accounts,” Bader explains. “Spyware gathers information that can be used against your or your business and sends it to third parties who may sell the private information on the dark web or craft even more personalized attacks against you and your friends.”

What does adware mean?

According to Bader, adware is different from spyware and is generally unwanted software, usually connected to your web browser, that watches your activity and puts annoying ads up on your screen. Some antivirus software packages can scan and remove adware from your computer.

Is antivirus software necessary?

Like your car and home insurance, investing about $20 to $50 yearly is surely worth it. Not to mention, the service pairs well with a password protector, too.

We love this one from the Pro series because it’s big but not unmanageable; smart but not superfluous; and, best of all, able to grill and smoke while also handling baking and braising with no problem.

17 best products we tested for 2023

If you ask virtually any dermatologist or skin expert out there about powerhouse skin ingredients, we’d bet the big bucks that vitamin C would make the cut.

In fact, the dermatologist we consulted said it’s the “OG of antioxidants.”

The ultra-powerful nutrient, impressively, is incorporated into several serums on the market and, like an Oreo, is the “good stuff” in the middle (following your best cleanser and preceding your creamy moisturizer, of course).

“Serums are great because they are vehicles for the actives that you use on your skin for intentional skincare- the practice of using a product to make a change in your skin,” board-certified dermatologist and founder of Visha Skincare, Purvisha Patel, MD, told the Post.

Best known for its natural brightening effects, vitamin C has been put through clinical trials and proven to aid in a variety of feel-good benefits, too, which Dr. Patel outlines — along with everything to know about using a vitamin C serum — ahead of listing the 18 best vitamin C serums we tested.

What are the benefits of vitamin C?

“Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that prevents free radicles from breaking down collagen and elastin,” Dr. Patel explains. “You can tell if your serum is working after a week of using.”

She adds that your skin should be “smoother, softer and more glowy” and “maybe a few dark spots lighter, as if you have had an exfoliation” upon consistent use.

“Over months there should be a decrease in dark spots and a thickening of the skin,” she adds. “There may be fewer breakouts as well.”

Are all vitamin C serums created equal?

No, not all vitamin C serums are on the same level of efficacy. This is because vitamin C is labeled as an “unstable ingredient,” with serums containing L-ascorbic acid being the most active form of the vitamin.

“L ascorbic acid is the water-soluble form [of vitamin C],” Dr. Patel explains. “It’s most easily absorbed by the skin, unstable in sunlight and air (oxidizes) and is tricky in formulation; this results in the different qualities of vitamin C serums.”

Dr. Patel adds that esterified vitamin C is “much more stable in air and sunlight and not as irritating, but not as strong as L ascorbic acid.” That said, the difference in serum qualities “depends on concentration, formulation and packaging,” according to Dr. Patel.

How do I choose a vitamin C serum suited for my skin type?

Dr. Patel outlines different skin types and key ingredients to look for in a vitamin C serum:

  • Dry or sensitive skin: Use a vitamin C serum with rose hip seed extract, sea buckhorn oil or vitamin E to help soothe the skin
  • Oily skin: Use a non-water-based serum (opt for a creamier one instead) to help prevent the serum from evaporating
  • Acne-prone skin: Look for retinol, AHAs and BHAs, along with anti-bacterial properties
  • Mature skin: Look for ferulic acid, retinol, vitamin E and skin discoloration correctors

How often should I use a vitamin C serum?

To follow the dermatologist-recommended skincare routine of cleanser, serum, moisturizer and sunscreen, Dr. Patel recommends using a serum twice daily.

How we tested vitamin C serums

I’ve been testing 26 vitamin C serums for months on my dry to sensitive skin. Though — and confirmed by Dr. Patel — using a vitamin C-infused moisturizer is a less irritating formulation than a serum, I found 17 of the best serums that didn’t irritate my skin, highlighted pros and cons to help guide your decision (recommendations we would give IRL) and a list of some serums we tested that didn’t make the cut.

That said, my skin has never been brighter.

Aside from switching off from one vitamin C serum to the next, I didn’t use any new cleansers, moisturizers or face masks. I’ve used my two favorite products, as of late, with each test: Alpyn Beauty’s Creamy Bubbling Cleanser with Fruit Enzymes and AHAs and the brand’s PlantGenius Melt Moisturizer.

Here are some helpful things to note before reading our tried-and-true favorites:

Everyone has different skin types: As highlighted by Dr. Patel above, skincare ingredients depend on the skin type itself. This review is based on my skin (dry and sensitive) though, using Dr. Patel’s expertise as a compass, we grouped some of our favorites into other skin types.

You don’t have to splurge to confer benefits: The best vitamin C serum isn’t necessarily the most expensive, per Dr. Patel. “A lot of times the extra cost of a skincare product has to do with exorbitant or fancy packaging, with packaging not being a good indicator of the quality of product inside.”

Talk to your doctor if you’re experiencing any serious issues: Though we consulted with a dermatologist to give you an edit of the best vitamin C serums, everyone’s skin is different. Speak with your doctor if you have any underlying conditions or concerns before using a serum.

Best Vitamin C Serum Overall

Glow Recipe Vitamin C Dark Spot Treatment Serum, $45

  • Pros: The smoothest serum tested; has a pump dispenser; gave my skin a balanced, clear and healthy glow
  • Cons: Fragrance may be too profuse for some, though I found it refreshing

Glow Recipe’s Vitamin C Dark Spot Treatment Serum isn’t our favorite just because of its pretty pink packaging and the word “glow” in its name. This is the crème de la crème of serums because it nourished my skin, left it balanced and left no irritation.

Not only does it come out pink (!!!) but it also is a certified Clean at Sephora product, vegan and includes guava, tranexamic and ferulic acids and five forms of vitamin C to brighten and naturally glow the skin.

The First Runner-Up

La Roche Posay Pure Vitamin C Face Serum, $42

  • Pros: Super hydrating, has a fresh scent that smells like lotion, has a roller application that massages your skin
  • Cons: None to speak of

As a close second, La Roche-Posay’s Pure Vitamin C Face Serum is delightful. I was impressed with its ability to instantly nourish my skin and absolutely loved its roller application that’s a step-up from the potion-like serum dispensers that tend to be too runny.

This serum has a fresh scent that even those who prefer no fragrance would love. And, we have no complaints.

The Second Runner-Up

Biossance Squalane + 10% Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum, $65

  • Pros: Has a pump dispenser, little to no fragrance, makes the skin look balanced and bright, has a gentle firming effect toward the outer corner of the eyes, super nourishing
  • Cons: None to speak of

Rounding out this edit of the top three best serums is Biossance’s Squalane + 10% Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum. Not only is its luxe packaging fit for your bathroom counter at all times but it also made my skin look incredibly balanced and bright.

This serum even had a firming effect near the outer corner of my eyes, which is likely effective for anyone with crow’s feet. Additionally, its moisturizer-like consistency and impressive eradication of dark spots make it lovely for sensitive skin types.

Best Vitamin C Serums for Sensitive Skin

1. Dr. Barbara Sturm The Good C Vitamin C Serum, $145

  • Pros: Lightweight, super nourishing, easy to blend, balances the skin, spa-like quality
  • Cons: None to speak of

If I could bottle up Dr. Barbara Sturm’s The Good C Vitamin C Serum and take it with me everywhere, I seriously would.

Though up there in price, this serum is impeccable and delivers spa-like quality I didn’t know existed. Specifically, it’s best designed for sensitive skin types because it includes aloe vera, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C — the major triage of skin soothers, per dermatologists.

2. Herbivore Botanicals NOVA 15% Vitamin C + Turmeric Brightening Serum, $64

Herbivore Botanicals
  • Pros: Lightweight, great for sensitive skin, offers the skin a dewy glow
  • Cons: None to speak of

When I first realized the Herbivore Botanicals NOVA 15% Vitamin C + Turmeric Brightening Serum existed, I jumped for joy. Turmeric is a superfood ingredient that my cousin adds to his oatmeal each morning, and I had a good hunch this formulation was going to be a ‘superfood’ for my skin — and I was right.

Notably, this gentle vitamin C serum helps target dullness and dark spots, along with an uneven skin tone, bringing a cocktail of benefits to your skin’s surface. It’s worth every penny and a wonder for sensitive skin.

Best Splurge-Worthy Vitamin C Serum

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic with 15% L-Ascorbic Acid, $169

  • Pros: Provides a glistening effect to the skin, perfectly and precisely drops the serum onto your face
  • Cons: Pricey, has a slightly strong smell

Meet the cult-favorite of all vitamin C serums. SkinCeuticals’ C E Ferulic with 15% L-Ascorbic Acid is a tried-and-true favorite of many and it made our cut because of its inclusion of L-Ascorbic Acid — the most tangible form of vitamin C, per dermatologists.

Though not our all-time fave, it does feel raw and real when using. It made my skin truly glisten and the on-the-dot application was one of the best we’ve seen.

Best Budget Vitamin C Serum

CeraVe Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum, $27 to $38

  • Pros: Dermatologist-approved skincare brand, has a fresh scent, brightens problem areas and hydrates the skin
  • Cons: Impractical packaging

Oh, CeraVe, how I love you so. I’ve been using the brand’s cleanser for years and wasn’t surprised at the slightest when its Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum was one of the ones to come up on top.

Notably, its fresh scent just makes you want to use it every day and it effectively brightened and nourished my skin. For less than $40, you can’t go wrong.

Best Vitamin C Serum for Dry Skin

Farmacy 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum, $50

Farmacy
  • Pros: Amazing at brightening the skin, has a pump dispenser, great for waking your skin up in the morning, has a pump protector for no spills (which is great for travel)
  • Cons: None to speak of

When I first came across Farmacy’s 10% Waterless Vitamin C Serum, I knew I was going to like it. A serum that includes vitamin C and up-cycled tangerine peel? Sounds like facial heaven.

As someone with dry skin, this is the best for this skin type because it includes ascorbic acid and 1% alpha arbutin (a brightening active that targets dark spots) that nourished my skin to the T. Though it’s not the only serum in this edit that works well on dry skin, it’s a thirst-quenching one I kept resorting back to.

Best Vitamin C Serum for Oily Skin

Tula Skincare Brightening Treatment Drops Triple Vitamin C Serum, $56

  • Pros: Consistent at brightening and hydrating, works well on sensitive skin, smooth and refreshing
  • Cons: None to speak of

Tula’s Brightening Treatment Drops are literal drops of ocean-cool refreshment onto your skin. It’s the serum I would choose if I need to really wake up in the morning and over time, gives some of the best, glowy results.

Best Vitamin C Serum for Acne-Prone Skin

Tatcha Violet-C Brightening Serum, $89

  • Pros: Incredibly refreshing; has a clear, fresh and subtle scent; brightened my entire face; has a pump dispenser
  • Cons: None to speak of

Containing AHAs (which Dr. Patel recommends for those struggling with acne), Tatcha’s Violet-C Brightening Serum was an all-around great brightener, refresher and nurturer to my skin. Not to mention, its packaging is divine.

Best Vitamin C Serum for Mature Skin

StriVectin Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C Serum, $72

  • Pros: Gave my skin a your-skin-but-better natural luminescence
  • Cons: Has a fairly strong scent

StriVectin has gained a fan following for its anti-aging properties, notably for its Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C Serum containing — you guessed it — retinol, a powerhouse ingredient to help reverse and correct signs of aging.

Though I’m in my early 20s, I enjoy using a retinol-based product every now and then to protect my skin. I enjoyed its natural glisten that wasn’t too shimmery, too.

Best Brightening Vitamin C Serum

1. Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum, $45

  • Pros: Has a sweet citrus scent, gives your skin an immaculate brightness that stood out from the rest
  • Cons: May be too shiny for some

Mario Badescu certainly knew what he was doing when his Vitamin C Serum was born. Wow is an understatement; I expected it to work well, but I was floored when I noticed how bright and glowy it left my skin.

It did, however, leave my skin a bit shinier than I’d like after using, but if you want to see great brightening effects, this serum is your best bet.

2. Drunk Elephant C-Firma Fresh Day Serum, $78

  • Pros: Has a fresh feel, leaves the skin plump
  • Cons: Requires some mixing before use (but it’s fun, we promise)

I’ve been one of Drunk Elephant’s No. 1 fans for years and have been using the C-Firma Fresh Day Serum regularly since I wrote a review on the product. It turns you into a bathroom mixologist and has one of the freshest, high-quality formulations yet.

Aside from its revitalized feel, it always leaves my skin plump and healthy, which is the ideal texture before catching those ZZZs.

Best Vitamin C Serum Before Makeup

Kiehl’s Since 1851 Powerful-Strength Vitamin C Serum, $100

  • Pros: Smooth, fragrance-free, great for blurring out pores and treating problem areas
  • Cons: Could be more hydrating

Kiehl’s Since 1851 has a Powerful-Strength Vitamin C Serum that lives up to its confident name. Despite it not being the most hydrating we tested, it applies super smoothly and, in turn, helps mitigate the appearance of pores and treat problem areas (fine lines, we’re looking at you) simultaneously.

The Best Jelly Vitamin C Serum

1. Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum, $85

  • Pros: Has a plump, thick texture that’s ultra-hydrating, has a pump dispenser, great at balancing out the skin tone
  • Cons: None to speak of

Murad’s Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum is a dream come true for anyone who’s been looking for a cloud-like serum that’s thick but not clumpy. It’s so hydrating, thanks to its jelly consistency, and was impressively effective at making some red spots on my face look polished and balanced.

Best Vitamin C Serum for a Natural Glow

Rose Inc. Radiant Reveal Clean Brightening Vitamin C Serum, $72

  • Pros: Has the best consistency we tested; good at giving an all-around, sweet glow
  • Cons: Has a slightly strong floral scent, but nothing unusable

Rose Inc. shocked me with its ability to produce a natural-looking glow. Seriously, if you happen to skip your cleanser and moisturizer one day and just use the brand’s Radiant Reveal Clean Brightening Vitamin C Serum, you’ll be A-OK.

It’s not too thick and not too runny, so it’s the Goldilocks winner of serums. Plus, its packaging is minimal and sealed, anti-bacteria safe.

Best Vitamin C Serum for Dark Spots

Josie Maran Argan Bright Skin Vitamin C Serum, $66

  • Pros: Incredible at eliminating dark spots on consistent use, brightens the skin well, sleek packaging, precise application
  • Cons: None to speak of

Nobody likes dark circles and when you need it most (*cough cough* all-nighters), Josie Maran’s Argan Bright Skin Vitamin C Serum is the one we recommend most.

Despite not having chronically dark circles or spots, I did notice a difference underneath my eyes when I used it consistently. And, for less than $70, I would have guessed it was more than $100.
