Vivo V30, V30 Pro With 50-Megapixel Front Cameras Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro were launched in India on Thursday, March 7. These phones were recently introduced in Indonesia. The Indian variants of the handsets share similar specifications and features as their global counterpart. The phones come with 50-megapixel front cameras and 1.5K curved displays. They also support 80W wired fast charging and ship with Android 14-based UI. Both models will be available for sale in the country later this month.

Offered in Andaman Blue and Classic Black colours, the Vivo V30 Pro starts in India at Rs. 41,999 for the 8GB + 256GB option, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is listed at Rs. 46,999.

The base Vivo V30 comes in Andaman Blue, Classic Black, and an additional Peacock Green shade. It is available in three configurations – 8GB + 128GB at Rs. 33,999, 8GB + 256GB at Rs. 35,999, and 12GB + 512GB at Rs. 37,999.

Customers will be able to purchase the phones starting March 14 via Flipkart, Vivo India e-store, and other offline retail outlets. Pre-booking for the models kick off on March 7.

Online customers can get a flat 10 percent discount on SBI or HDFC cards, up to six months of no-cost EMI and may be eligible for an additional up to Rs. 4,000 exchange discount. People opting to buy from mainline stores can get 10 percent instant cashback, up to eight months of no-cost EMI, and up to 40 percent off on Vivo’s V-Shield plan.

Both handsets feature 6.78-inch curved 1.5K (2,800 x 1,260 pixels) AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 2,800 nits peak brightness level. The base Vivo V30 comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro model is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. The handsets support up to 12GB of  RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. The phones also ship with Android 14-based FunTouchOS 14.

In the camera department, the Vivo V30 is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support and a second 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens alongside an Aura Light flash unit. The Vivo V30 Pro shares these camera specifications but also includes an additional 50-megapixel portrait camera. Both models sport a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

Vivo has packed 5,000mAh batteries on both Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro with 80W wired fast charging support via USB Type-C ports. For security, the phones are equipped with in-display fingerprint scanners. The base variant supports Bluetooth 5.4, while the Pro model gets Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Vivo V30, V30 Pro Price in India Tipped Ahead of Launch: Expected Price, Specifications

Vivo V30 series is set to launch in India next week, and ahead of its debut, a new leak has revealed the possible price of the smartphones in the country. The series, comprising the Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro, was unveiled in Indonesia on Wednesday. The phones feature 6.78-inch AMOLED screens and are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. It is expected that the design and specifications of the India variants of the handsets will be similar to the global models.

Tipster Mukul Sharma leaked the price of both handsets on X (formerly known as Twitter). According to the post, the Vivo V30 price in India could start at Rs. 40,000 for the base storage variant and the Vivo V30 Pro India price could be set around Rs. 45,000. The tipster’s post also says that the V30 Pro will mark the debut of Zeiss branded triple rear cameras in India and other select global markets. The series is confirmed to launch on March 7 in the country. The smartphones could be available in Equatorial Green, Puspa White and Volcanic Black colour options.

While the specifications of the India variant of the handsets are not known, the Indonesia variant of the Vivo V30 and V30 Pro both featured a 6.78-inch curved 1.5K (1,260 x 2,800 pixels) AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 2,800 nits peak brightness level. The base model is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset whereas the pro model is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC.

For optics, the Vivo V30 gets a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support and another 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The Vivo V30 Pro sports a 50-megapixel portrait lens in addition to complete its triple rear camera unit. Both the phones carry a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.

Vivo V30’s Indonesian variant features up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 inbuilt storage. The Vivo V30 Pro is equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM paired with 512GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage. Both the phones run on Android 14-based FunTouchOS 14. Both the smartphones are backed by a 5,000mAh battery with a support for 80W wired fast charging.

Vivo V30 With Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, 50-Megapixel Selfie Camera Launched

Vivo has silently unveiled the Vivo V30 in select global markets. The latest V-series smartphone by the Chinese smartphone brand comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The Vivo V30 features a 3D curved AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and flaunts a triple rear camera unit, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone appears to be a rebranded Vivo S18. The handset is backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The Vivo V30 is confirmed to debut in more than 30 markets including India soon.

Pricing for the Vivo V30 wasn’t announced at the time of writing. Vivo has confirmed (via GSMArena) that the handset will be launched in 30 markets including India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the UAE soon. The Vivo V30 series is scheduled to debut in Mexico on February 8.

The Vivo V30 will be offered in Bloom White, Lush Green, Noble Black, and Waving Aqua colourways.

Vivo V30 runs on Android 14 with FuntouchOS 14 and features a 6.78-inch full-HD (1,260×2,800 pixels) AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The 3D curved display has HDR10+ support and is claimed to deliver 100 percent coverage of DCI-P3 colour gamut and up to 2800 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, the handset has a 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with Adreno 720 GPU. It will be offered in 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB RAM and storage configurations.

For optics, the Vivo V30 has a triple aura light rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50E sensor with support for OIS (optical image stabilisation), a 50-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, and a portrait sensor. At the front, it has a 50-megapixel camera with autofocus for selfies.

The Vivo V30 packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and measures 7.5mm in thickness.
