Vivo V30e India Launch Date Set for May 2; Design, Colourways, Key Specifications Revealed

Vivo V30e is set to launch in India soon. The company had previously teased the design of the handset. Now, Vivo has revealed the phone’s complete design, colour options, and key features. It has also announced its launch date in the country. The upcoming smartphone is set to join the Vivo V30 lineup which includes the Vivo V30 and a Vivo V30 Pro. The existing Vivo V30 phones were unveiled in India in March this year. 

The company has confirmed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Vivo V30e will launch in India on May 2 at 12pm IST. The Vivo India microsite of the handset has been updated to show some of its key details. It is shown to feature a large circular camera module towards the top left corner of the back panel. This holds two camera sensors and an Aura Light unit. The phone is confirmed to launch in two colour options – Silk Blue and Velvet Red.

The Vivo V30e is seen with a dual pattern rear panel on both the Silk Blue and the Velvet Red option, but the latter appears to have a matte finish. A patterned strip runs vertically down the right side of the back panel. The handset is also confirmed to feature an ultra-slim 3D curved display. It is seen with slim bezels and a centred hole-punch slot at the top for the front camera. The power button and volume rockers are placed on the right edge of the phone.

For optics, the Vivo V30e is set to carry a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 portrait sensor with 50mm prime focal length and 2x optical zoom at the back and a 50-megapixel AI-backed selfie camera sensor with autofocus in the front. The handset is also claimed to be the slimmest in the segment to have a 5,500mAh battery. As per the fine print on the microsite, the phone measures 7.69mm in thickness.

Previous leaks have suggested that the Vivo V30e may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM. It is also tipped to ship with Android 14-based OS.

Vivo V30, V30 Pro With 50-Megapixel Front Cameras Launched in India: Price, Specifications

Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro were launched in India on Thursday, March 7. These phones were recently introduced in Indonesia. The Indian variants of the handsets share similar specifications and features as their global counterpart. The phones come with 50-megapixel front cameras and 1.5K curved displays. They also support 80W wired fast charging and ship with Android 14-based UI. Both models will be available for sale in the country later this month.

Offered in Andaman Blue and Classic Black colours, the Vivo V30 Pro starts in India at Rs. 41,999 for the 8GB + 256GB option, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is listed at Rs. 46,999.

The base Vivo V30 comes in Andaman Blue, Classic Black, and an additional Peacock Green shade. It is available in three configurations – 8GB + 128GB at Rs. 33,999, 8GB + 256GB at Rs. 35,999, and 12GB + 512GB at Rs. 37,999.

Customers will be able to purchase the phones starting March 14 via Flipkart, Vivo India e-store, and other offline retail outlets. Pre-booking for the models kick off on March 7.

Online customers can get a flat 10 percent discount on SBI or HDFC cards, up to six months of no-cost EMI and may be eligible for an additional up to Rs. 4,000 exchange discount. People opting to buy from mainline stores can get 10 percent instant cashback, up to eight months of no-cost EMI, and up to 40 percent off on Vivo’s V-Shield plan.

Both handsets feature 6.78-inch curved 1.5K (2,800 x 1,260 pixels) AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 2,800 nits peak brightness level. The base Vivo V30 comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, while the Pro model is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset. The handsets support up to 12GB of  RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. The phones also ship with Android 14-based FunTouchOS 14.

In the camera department, the Vivo V30 is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support and a second 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens alongside an Aura Light flash unit. The Vivo V30 Pro shares these camera specifications but also includes an additional 50-megapixel portrait camera. Both models sport a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

Vivo has packed 5,000mAh batteries on both Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro with 80W wired fast charging support via USB Type-C ports. For security, the phones are equipped with in-display fingerprint scanners. The base variant supports Bluetooth 5.4, while the Pro model gets Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Vivo V30, Vivo V30 Pro India Launch Confirmed; Design and Colour Options Revealed

Vivo V30 series will be launched in India soon, according to the company. A landing page on Vivo’s website confirms the arrival of two smartphones in the country — the Vivo V30 and the Vivo V30 Pro. In addition to touring the camera features of the upcoming handsets, the design of the Vivo V30 Pro model has also been revealed on the site. The phone is confirmed to be available in three colour options in India.

The company’s website now includes a landing page for the upcoming Vivo V30 series that confirms the arrival of the phones in the country. It shows off the Vivo V30 Pro model from certain angles and says the series is “coming soon”.  Vivo is yet to announce a launch date for the V30 series in India — the handsets will be launched in Thailand on February 28.

Vivo has also confirmed three “designed for India” colour options for the Vivo V30 series in India. The handset will be sold in Andaman Blue, Classic Black, and Peacock Green. The landing page also reveals that the Pro model will have a triple rear camera setup.

A tipster previously leaked some of the specifications of the Vivo V30 Pro, including the smartphone’s 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup and a 50-megapixel selfie camera. The handset will also support 80W fast charging over a USB Type-C port.

The leaked specifications of the Vivo V30 Pro suggest that the company might be planning to release the handset in global markets as a rebranded Vivo S18 Pro, which was launched in China last December. While the company is yet to reveal the processor powering the V30 series, its purported Chinese counterpart was powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chip. As per the report, the Vivo V30 Pro will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Eye AF front camera as well, similar to the Vivo V30 model. The Pro model is also tipped to be offered in black and blue colour options in India, whereas the base model may launch in the country in an additional gradient green shade. An earlier MySmartPrice report shared a retail poster for the Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro hinting at an eventual India launch.

Vivo V30 Pro Spotted on Bluetooth SIG Site, Expected to Launch Soon

Vivo V30 was unveiled earlier this month, joining the Vivo V30 Lite model which was launched in December 2023. The lineup is expected to get a third model, the Vivo V30 Pro, which has now been spotted on a certification site. The base model of the series launched as a remodelled version of the Vivo S18. Therefore, the Pro model of the series is expected to be a rebadged Vivo S18 Pro. The preceding Vivo V29 Pro came as a remodelled Vivo S17 Pro.

The Vivo V30 Pro with the model number V2319 was spotted (via Gizmochina) on the Bluetooth SIG website, hinting at its imminent launch. The listing does not reveal a lot about the handset other than the fact it will support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. Since the base Vivo V30 model has launched as a rebadged Vivo S18, the Vivo V30 Pro is expected to be introduced as a redesigned Vivo S18 Pro.

Vivo has silently unveiled the Vivo V30 in select global markets. The latest V-series smartphone by the Chinese smartphone brand comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The Vivo V30 features a 3D curved AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and flaunts a triple rear camera unit, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone appears to be a rebranded Vivo S18. The handset is backed by a 5,000mAh battery. The Vivo V30 is confirmed to debut in more than 30 markets including India soon.

Pricing for the Vivo V30 wasn’t announced at the time of writing. Vivo has confirmed (via GSMArena) that the handset will be launched in 30 markets including India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the UAE soon.
