The Edge 50 Fusion is expected to succeed the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, which was unveiled in September 2022. Motorola did not reveal an Edge 40 Fusion model in 2023. It is also likely that the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion may launch alongside a Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which is expected to be launch on April 3.

Tipster Evan Blass claimed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that a new Motorola phone with the moniker Edge 50 Fusion and codename Cusco is expected to launch soon. It is tipped to be offered in three colour options – Ballad Blue (vegan leather), Peacock Pink, and Tidal Teal. The phone will likely sport a 6.7-inch pOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

As per the tipster, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC paired with 256GB of onboard storage. The phone is said to get a 50-megapixel main rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera sensor. It is also likely to come with an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance. The tipster adds that the phone could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W wired fast charging.

To refresh our memories, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888+ SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage. It has a 6.55-inch 144Hz full-HD+ curved pOLED display. The phone comes with a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and a 4,400mAh battery with 68W TurboPower charging support.

Offered in Cosmic Grey, Solar Gold, and Viva Magenta colour options, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is currently priced in India at Rs. 34,999 for the singular 8GB + 128GB variant.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo Goes on Sale, Company Offers Discount on Other Handsets in India

Motorola Edge 40 Neo 5G, which was unveiled in India recently, went on sale in the country on September 28. The company announced a special discounted price on the handset ahead of the Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale. For this e-commerce sale, the company also announced offers on several other handsets like the Moto G54 5G, Moto G84 5G, Moto G32, Moto E13, and Moto Edge 40, to name a few. There are other additional offers including the ones extended by different banks and in select cases, Flipkart, that customers can avail of during the purchase of the following handsets.

For starters, the 8GB + 128GB variant of the Motorola Edge 40 Neo was priced at Rs. 23,999, while the 12GB + 256GB option was listed at Rs. 25,999. According to the announcement from Motorola, the phone is now available at Rs. 20,999 and Rs. 22,999, respectively. With added discounts, it can be grabbed for as low as Rs. 19,999 and Rs. 21,999.

The Moto G54 5G, which was launched in the country earlier this month, is offered in two storage variants – 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. It was listed at Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 18,999, respectively. During the special sale offer announced by the company, the Moto G54 is being offered at Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 15,999 for the 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB options, respectively. With bank discounts and other offers extended on Flipkart, the handset can be bought at Rs. 12,499 and Rs. 14,999, respectively.

Unveiled in India in early September, the singular option of the Moto G84 5G was marked at a price of Rs. 19,999. With the sale offer, it can be bought for Rs. 17,999, which with additional offers can also be purchased for Rs. 16,999.

Moto E13, offered in three storage options – 2GB + 64GB, 4GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB. They are usually priced at Rs. 7,999, Rs. 7,999 and Rs. 8,999, but are offered in the sale at discounted prices of Rs. 5,999, Rs. 6,499, and Rs. 7,499, respectively.

Priced originally at Rs. 11, 999, the Moto G32 is now being offered at Rs. 9,999 or can also be bought for Rs. 8,999, with additional discounts. Notably, the company confirmed that the discounted price for the Motorola Edge 40 will be announced on October 8.

Sale price of the 8GB + 128GB variant of the Motorola Edge 30, the 4GB + 128GB Moto G13, and Moto E32 remains unchanged, but customers on Flipkart can avail of other applicable offer and discounts to get them for as low as Rs. 25,999, Rs. 8,999, and Rs. 8,099, respectively.

The 4GB + 128GB variant of the Moto G14 is priced at Rs. 8,999, down from Rs. 9,999 and can also be bought at a lower price of Rs. 8,099 on Flipkart with bank offers. Meanwhile, the Moto G73, originally priced at Rs. 18,999 is offered now at Rs. 15,999, but with added discounts can be purchased at Rs. 14,999.

Finally, the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion and Motorola Edge 30 Ultra are priced at Rs. 42,999 and Rs. 59,999, respectively. The smartphones are currently available at discounted prices of Rs. 34,999 and Rs. 49,999, respectively. With additional bank offers on Flipkart, the phones can be purchased for as low as Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 39,999, respectively.

Moto Razr 2022, Along With Moto G, Edge Series Smartphones to Get Android 13

Motorola had previously shared a provisional list of ten Moto G and Moto Edge series smartphones that were lined up to get the Android 13 update. A Motorola representative has now revealed a new list of 20 smartphones which might soon get the update. The company plans to begin the rollout in early 2023 for select handsets. Motorola has been lagging behind its competitors when it comes to the Android 13 rollout. Companies like Samsung, Vivo, and OnePlus have already started releasing stable updates for their respective smartphones.

As per a comment made by a Motorola representative on the official forum, the company has expanded its list of smartphones in line to get Android 13. It includes the foldable Moto Razr 2022, apart from other Moto G and Moto Edge series smartphones. Motorola expects all of the listed models to start receiving updates from early 2023.

The list also includes 11 Motorola Edge series smartphones, including the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, Motorola Edge 30 Pro, Motorola Edge+ (2022), Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, Motorola Edge 30 Neo, Motorola Edge 30, Motorola Edge 2022, Motorola Edge 20 Pro, Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge (2021), and Motorola Edge 20 Lite.

The eight Moto G series smartphones listed to get the Android 13 update are Moto G Stylus 5G (2022), Moto G 5G, Moto G82 5G, Moto G72, Moto G62 5G, Moto G52, Moto G42, and Moto G32. All of the mentioned handsets will get the updates “following appropriate testing and approvals.”

In related news, Motorola is gearing up to launch the Moto X40 flagship handset in China on Thursday. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The company has confirmed that it packs a 4,600mAh battery with support for 125W fast charging. Motorola also plans to unveil the MyUI 5.0 custom Android skin at the launch event.

The handset gets a fingerprint scanner and face unlock feature for security. It packs a 4,610mAh battery with 125W TurboPower wired charging support.
