Woman jumps McDonald’s counter, makes own burger in wild rampage

This McDonald’s meal came with additional charges.

A woman has been arrested after she was seen in a viral TikTok video screaming at McDonald’s staff before jumping the counter and making herself a burger.

The 19-year-old — who has not been publicly named and shamed — was subsequently charged with disorderly behavior, property damage and assault over the incident, which occurred in Adelaide, Australia, last week.

The cause of the crop-top-clad customer’s outburst was unclear, but the TikTok clip showed her hurling abuse at stunned employees.

“I will beat you up or I will leave!” the unruly patron can be seen shouting in the video, which has clocked more than 75,000 views.

The woman then wanders into the back kitchen, where she nonsensically screams at more staff before making herself a burger.

She later helps herself to a bottle of water from inside a refrigerator before eventually being detained by two cops.

Police allege the culprit hurled the water bottle at a patron — leading to the assault charge.

TikTok viewers were left stunned by her brazen antics, with one writing: “It’s really sad people have to go to work and deal with this stuff.”

“People need to pay for their actions,” another wrote, saying they hope the customer faces the full force of the law.

But while the woman’s antics may have stunned TikTok, it’s not the only fast food franchise incident to incite headlines in recent months.

Back in August, an employee at a Brooklyn McDonald’s was shot and killed by a customer who reportedly complained about cold fries.

Meanwhile, a video going viral on Twitter this week shows several women brawling with workers at a Waffle House in Austin, Texas, after they became angered by slow service.

McDonald’s reshapes board as director Sheila Penrose retires

McDonald’s is reshaping its board, including the exit of a board member recently targeted by activist investor Carl Icahn over how pigs used in the chain’s food are treated.

Sheila Penrose was in charge of the sustainability and corporate responsibility committee.

Sheila Penrose, who is retiring, has been a McDonald’s board member for 15 years. She was in charge of the sustainability and corporate responsibility committee.

Billionaire Carl Icahn nominated two alternative board candidates earlier this year in an attempt to force changes at the world’s biggest burger chain over how it sources the pork used in its bacon cheeseburgers and sausage patties. Icahn sought to unseat Penrose and Richard Lenny, the former CEO of Hershey.

Shareholders resoundingly rejected Icahn’s campaign, which garnered the support of only 1% of the company’s outstanding shares. Penrose maintained overwhelming support from shareholders as well, as did Lenny.

McDonald’s, based in Chicago, did not say why Penrose is retiring now but it lauded her contributions to the company.

“She’s helped to spearhead our sustainability efforts and advocated on behalf of the larger role that McDonald’s plays in communities around the world,” said CEO Chris Kempczinski. “I will miss her.”

In addition to the departure of Penrose, McDonald’s is adding three new board members.

Tony Capuano, CEO of Marriott International; Jennifer Taubert, executive vice president and worldwide chairman, pharmaceuticals at Johnson & Johnson; and Amy Weaver, president and chief financial officer at Salesforce, will join the board on Oct. 1, a day after Penrose retires.

McDonald’s finally brings hit twist on classic Big Mac to the US

“We’re always looking to give our fans more ways to enjoy the classic menu items they know and love,” McDonald’s said of the addition of the new Big Mac, according to Fox 6.

The sandwich will include two tempura chicken patties, pickles, shredded lettuce, and American cheese, a combination the company said was a huge success when it was rolled out to customers in the U.K.

The Chicken Big Mac comes amid a fast food feud that has been dubbed the “Chicken Sandwich Wars,” which have intensified since Popeyes introduced its popular chicken sandwich in 2019. Other chains have followed the trend, with McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s introducing new sandwiches meant to compete with Popeyes and Chick-fil-A.

“Chicken continues to be a significant opportunity for us… We’ve got some great global equities already in our McNuggets and with McChicken, but we also have some equities in McCrispy and McSpicy that we think we’ve got an opportunity to do more with globally. So that’s going to be a priority area,” McDonald’s CEO Chris  Kempczinski said in a Q2 earnings call.

The new sandwich will be rolled out later this month for a limited time at select Miami locations.

Twerking McDonald’s ‘hamburglar’ busted on video: ‘She was McMad’

Wonder if she wanted fries with that shake.

A pregnant woman with a craving for fast food was not McLovin’ the service she received at a McDonald’s in Lakeland, Florida.

“She was McMad,” joked Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd during a Friday press conference, sharing that a warrant is out for her arrest.

Judd later described, “As Jones got to the exit, she turned toward the employees, lifted her shirt to expose her belly, then turned and began twerking at them.”

“She didn’t get her Happy Meal or her fish sandwich or her chocolate shake, or her sweet tea, but she managed to get herself into a lot of McTrouble,” the cop added.

On Thursday, Tianis Jones, 22, grew upset with the time it took to put together her drive-thru order, so she entered the restaurant to give employees a piece of her mind.

Jones allegedly threw a small plastic sign and several bottles at one worker, then went behind the counter and threw cups on the floor and at employees, sheriffs said.

One of Jones’ relatives reportedly intervened to calm her down, but the angry mother-to-be called 911 instead.

“I’m 5 months pregnant. These people don’t know how to run a f- -king McDonald’s,” she told workers after being asked several times to leave the dining room, according to ABC affiliate WFTV.

Investigators said Jones’ relative and another woman eventually convinced her to leave the store. The whole ordeal lasted about 10 minutes, and caused about $100 worth of damage.

“She ended up a ‘McBurglar’ — she committed a burglary and an assault, which is a first-degree felony,” Judd said, in a variation on the franchise mascot the Hamburglar.

“I don’t know why this woman got as angry as she was, but as the saying goes, she’s a few fries short of a Happy Meal,” he added. “She better not complain about the food we serve her at the county jail.”
