The Last of Us’ Bella Ramsey to Star in Period Drama ‘Monstrous Beauty’

Fresh off their starring role in HBO’s ‘The Last of Us‘, actor Bella Ramsay has found their next big project in period drama movie ‘Monstrous Beauty’. Actor Romola Garai, best known for starring in ‘Atonement’ and ‘The Hour’, has written the script and will also direct the movie, reported entertainment news outlet Deadline.

Ramsey, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play the role of an aspiring playwright in the court of King Charles II who suffers from a rare condition that means she is entirely covered in hair. The story combines fiction with real historical characters.

The movie will also feature Dominic West as King Charles II, Ruth Negga as his mistress Nell Gwyn, and Fiona Shaw as Aphra Ben, the first ever published female playwright in history. The movie, which will begin filming in September, will be produced by Matthew James Wilkinson for Stigma Films.

Ramsey shot to fame after playing the role of Lyanna Mormont in the HBO fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones‘. The actor most recently essayed the role of Ellie in HBO’s series adaptation of popular video game ‘The Last of Us‘ alongside Pedro Pascal.

The hit HBO show is also confirmed to return for a second season, which will be based on the sequel video game, The Last of Us Part II. Showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have said that the events of the game could be spread across more than one season. Ramsey recently made an appearance on the The Jonathan Ross show and confirmed that the second season of The Last of Us will begin shooting “at the end of this year, beginning of next.” Pedro Pascal, co-lead on the show alongside Ramsey, had also hinted at the same earlier, saying that production on season 2 might begin in 2023.

‘Game of Thrones’ stars Kit Harington, Rose Leslie expecting second child

“Game of Thrones” actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are expecting baby number two!

Harington, who starred as Jon Snow in the hit HBO series, announced the exciting news of their impending arrival Friday on “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Harington and Leslie, known for her role as Ygritte on the HBO fantasy series, welcomed their first child — a baby boy — in early 2021.

Speaking about his two-year-old son, Harington told host Jimmy Fallon their son is “about to get the shock of his life” as he’s set to “get a brother or sister.”

“I’m terrified,” Harington admitted. “With the first baby you’re like walking through clouds and dancing through fields of daisies for 9 months, well — the man is anyway.”

Harington admits that the second time around, “the reality check comes much shorter. You get practical real quick.”

When asked what his son thinks about the new baby, Harington admits he hasn’t “conceptually understood it just yet.”

“We’re trying to get him ready for it, we point to Rose’s tummy and we say, ‘Mommy’s baby.’ And he points at his tummy and says, ‘My baby,” Harington said.

In September 2020, Leslie, 35, confirmed that she and Harington, 36, had a baby on the way. Her pregnancy was revealed by the UK’s Make magazine when the actress debuted her baby bump on the cover.

Leslie spoke about impending parenthood to The Post in October 2020, saying she was “thrilled to be expecting.”

“I can’t wait to meet the new member of our family,” she said at the time.

Leslie starred opposite her now-husband on “Game of Thrones” from 2012 to 2014.

The couple made their red carpet debut in 2016 at the Olivier Awards in London and confirmed their engagement in a newspaper announcement in 2017.

The pair went on to tie the knot in 2018 at Leslie’s ancestral castle in Scotland after first meeting on set.

House of the Dragon Episode 1 Leaked on Torrent Sites, Piracy Networks Ahead of Release

House of the Dragon episode 1 has leaked onto torrent sites and other networks that enable piracy, in differing versions of quality and file size (from 262MB to 2.29GB). While most copies of the Game of Thrones prequel series are arguably genuine, given the attached screenshots and user comments attesting to their legitimacy, some are fraudulent and merely exist as a trap to load viruses and malware onto the computers of unsuspecting individuals. And because House of the Dragon is being released directly online — available on HBO Max and Disney+ Hotstar — the genuine pirated copies have good video and audio quality. Gadgets 360 does not condone illegal file-sharing. It is against the law and filmmakers deserve to be paid for the content they create.

House of the Dragon Review: Game of Thrones Is Back — and It’s Great

The first legitimate leaked version of House of the Dragon episode 1 showed up on torrent sites around 8:20am IST on Sunday, August 21 — almost 24 hours prior to release — in full-HD 1080p resolution and surround sound audio. (House of the Dragon premieres Sunday at 9pm ET on HBO Max wherever available, and 6:30am IST on Disney+ Hotstar in India.) High-definition piracy is a permanent issue for TV shows, as they are more easily recorded than movies on the big screen. Also, Game of Thrones is no stranger to leaks. For what it’s worth, House of the Dragon will also be available in 4K HDR — at least on HBO Max — but there’s no leaked 4K version at the time of writing.

Created by Ryan Condal (Colony) and George R.R. Martin — the latter is the author behind A Song of Ice and Fire, the series of books that were adapted into the eight-season-long Game of Thrones — House of the Dragon is set about 200 years prior to its parent series. It chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, which culminated in the famed Targaryen war of succession, known as the Dance of the Dragons. Unlike Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon will deploy multiple time jumps across its 10-episode first season, with actors also swapping out roles over the course of the season. The Thrones spin-off could take on an anthology format from season 2.

In House of the Dragon, Paddy Considine stars as the Seven Kingdoms’ fifth ruler King Viserys I Targaryen, Matt Smith as Viserys’ younger brother and heir presumptive Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy and Milly Alcock as Viserys’ firstborn child Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke and Emily Carey as Rhaenyra’s best friend Lady Alicent Hightower, Steve Toussaint as famous seafarer Lord Corlys “Sea Snake” Velaryon, Eve Best as Corlys’ wife and The Queen Who Never Was, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Fabien Frankel as skilled swordsman Ser Criston Cole, Sonoya Mizuno as Daemon’s trusted ally Mysaria, and Rhys Ifans as Alicent’s father and the Hand of the King, Ser Otto Hightower.

House of the Dragon episode 1 is out August 22 at 6:30am IST on Disney+ Hotstar. New episodes air every Monday at 6:30am until October 24.
