23 On-Sale Madewell and J.Crew Items You’ll Want to See

It’s totally normal for a new year to bring forth cravings for newness, especially when it comes to the contents of your closet. This $25 J.Crew Item Is So Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy

I can’t be the only one who’s feed on every social media platform is currently home to a seemingly endless assortment of ’90s Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy photos. Not that I’m complaining—my Instagram Saved folder is just as packed with said images. Chic, sophisticated, and always dressed to the nines in a seemingly effortless manner, Bessette-Kennedy is the modern woman’s style icon for a reason. So anytime that I find an item that’s even remotely similar to one she frequented back then, I have to buy it. End of story.

Well, that’s exactly what happened today when I was scrolling through J.Crew and stumbled across a $25 tortoiseshell acetate headband that looks shockingly similar to the style Bessette-Kennedy wore on repeat, either with her corn-blonde hair worn straight and down or tied up in her signature chignon. (I saw on TikTok that she was rumored to have bought hers at C.O. Bigelow, an iconic New York City pharmacy in the West Village.) Of course, I ordered one right away and will probably be back for its Kelly green alternative. Follow my lead after looking through some of Bessette-Kennedy’s best headband-clad street-style looks.

The 12 Best Vans Sneakers for Women, and How to Style Them

Singer Olivia Rodrigo didn’t single-handedly ignite our obsession with ’90s style, but we have to admit: her consistent and cool throwback looks made us wish that we’d hung on to a few iconic staples from the era. Fortunately, not all fads come and go. In fact, the few that demonstrate decade-lasting devotion tend to foster a cult following among fashion lovers of every persuasion.

Rodrigo was recently spotted wearing Vans Sk8-Hi sneakers with straight-leg jeans and an eye-catching green trench. While this look is super simple and easy to replicate, that’s exactly what gives Rodrigo’s style a cross-generational appeal. Plus, her exact sneakers are only $75, which makes this tried-and-true footwear staple easy enough to add to any wardrobe.

While there may be more expensive designer versions out there, we keep coming back to the OG canvas design. And the Hollywood set agrees: Affordable black and white Vans have also been spotted on everyone from Rihanna to Hailey Bieber.

Since the Vans brand first debuted in 1966 as a shoe for skateboarders, it has continued to evolve and push its design while maintaining its classic, cult-favorite styles, too. Ahead, shop 12 pairs of black and white Vans that are about to become your go-to sneakers.

The $99 Nordstrom Boots I’m Buying to Get the Miu Miu Look

No single pair of boots has taken up residence in the brains of practically every person in fashion in recent years quite as significantly as Miu Miu’s moto boots, which the brand debuted in its F/W 22 collection. Mixed among penny loafers and the now-viral satin Mary Jane flats were a variety of heavy-duty, distressed leather boots in brown and black with a round toe, an ankle strap secured by large metal fasteners, and buckles up the leg that brought the thick material together on either side. Similar to the other footwear they were accompanied by on the runway, attendees and digital onlookers alike were instantly smitten.

As a result, over the past year, many brands have hopped aboard the moto-boot train, with options arriving from Steve Madden, Mango, and more. But none has gotten me quite as excited as the $99 pair I just discovered on Nordstrom.com. Ankle height, buckled to perfection, and featuring just the right amount of heel, the boots, courtesy of Nordstrom’s in-house, editor-favorite label Open Edit, check off every box. And the price isn’t half bad either. (I’m obviously kidding—the price is the *best* part.) Scroll down to shop Open Edit’s just-in moto boots ahead of fall’s official arrival.

42 Luxe-Looking Fall Arrivals From Zara, J.Crew, and Mango

I’m not going to lie to you: Zara and Mango are usually the places I beeline to when I’m in the mood to indulge myself with a cheap and trendy buy. As I was idly scrolling through their new arrivals and J.Crew’s staples on my last visit, I couldn’t help but notice all the chic and timeless pieces, especially the pieces that looked destined for a forever wardrobe. With a certain anti-trend, quiet-luxury aesthetic on the rise, these three retailers are clearly taking notes on the growing interest in paring things back and have been acting accordingly.

Once I spotted a few quiet-luxury finds, I searched all up and down the sites and found a trove of items that were so chic, so luxurious, and so wealthy looking that they shocked me to my very core. From the languid cream-toned trousers you’ll want to skip your jeans for to the striped knits that will make you look like you just spent time on a yacht, I’m uncovering the best expensive-looking Zara, Mango, and J.Crew finds to buy now and wear forever.

Shop the 11 Best Jeans From Madewell’s 25%-Off Sitewide Sale

I’d say that Madewell’s jeans are underrated but they’re not—they have plenty of hype surrounding them and it’s proven to be warranted. I can personally speak to their excellence, as I’ve worn Madewell jeans for the past 15 years. The only sad thing about being a fan of Madewell jeans is that many styles are typically excluded from the brand’s epic sales—until now.

Madewell is currently holding its Insider Event sale, and all you have to do is sign up for an account to receive the 25% off sitewide discount (and those with Stars and Icons status get 30% off). For this particular sale, Madewell is including a massive assortment of denim in the mix, and it’s so significant that the brand calls it “never-on-sale denim” itself on the homepage. I highly suggest taking advantage of this sale because who knows when they’ll be marked down again. All you have to do is pick your pair (s) and sign into your Insider account to get the discount.

Scroll on to shop the 25%-off jeans I recommend adding to your wardrobe before the sale ends on September 25.
