A widely repeated report says GTA 6 is planned for PC in the first quarter of 2027, meaning sometime from January through March. The claim is more substantial than a random social post: GamesBeat reportedly cited four industry sources familiar with Rockstar's plans.
But there is an important line between a sourced report and an official announcement. Rockstar currently lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the November 19 launch. It has not opened PC preorders, published PC specifications or named a PC release date.
Why the report is plausible
Rockstar has brought previous major games to PC after their console debuts. A PC version would therefore surprise almost nobody. The unusual part is the proposed timing: Q1 2027 would mean a much shorter gap than GTA V's original console-to-PC journey.
Four independent sources would strengthen a report, assuming they genuinely have access to current plans. Anonymous sourcing is normal when employees or business partners could face consequences for speaking. It still cannot guarantee that an internal target will survive testing and scheduling changes.
