Tracy McGrady says he is on same level as Kobe Bryant talent-wise

Former NBA star Tracy McGrady has once again opened up about his talent, clarifying previous comments about his abilities compared to other legendary players like Kobe Bryant.

In a recent interview with Ryen Russillo of The Ringer, McGrady emphasized the extraordinary nature of his talent and the hard work he put in to surpass expectations during his illustrious basketball career. “Talent wise,” McGrady clarified to Russillo his previous comment that he was on the same level as Bryant.

Tracy McGrady’s journey in the NBA was marked by his awe-inspiring scoring ability, unmatched athleticism, and versatility on the court. Throughout his 16-year career, he became known for his scoring prowess and ability to dominate games with his offensive skills. He played for several teams, including the Raptors, Magic, Rockets, and more.

In the interview, McGrady spoke candidly about his talent and work ethic, stating, “Regardless of what and how anybody else feels, when you talk about the talent, yeah, it’s just undoubtedly that my talent level was definitely up with the great players that have played this game.”

While McGrady acknowledged that he didn’t have the opportunity to play alongside iconic players like Shaquille O’Neal or LeBron James, he maintained that his talent alone was enough to put him on par with the best in the league.

Despite facing challenges with injuries and not having the chance to join a championship-winning team, McGrady’s skillset and impact on the game remain unquestionable.

“I didn’t play with Shaq. I didn’t play with no LeBrons,” T-Mac said. “Yao [Ming] was my best teammate and we couldn’t stay healthy. So I’ve never played on a championship team. But when you look at the talent level, you can’t question or deny that.”
