Vivo Y200 Pro 5G Design, Specifications Tipped via Google Play Console Listing, May Run on Snapdragon 695 SoC

Vivo launched the Vivo Y200 in India in October last year, and as promised, the company unveiled the Vivo Y200e last month. Now, the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G is expected to arrive soon as the next entrant in the Y200 series. The Chinese smartphone brand is yet to confirm the existence of the Pro model, but ahead of it, the phone has reportedly appeared on the Google Play Console with the model number V2303 and an official-looking image. It is expected to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. The Vivo Y200 Pro 5G could come as a rebrand of the Vivo V29e.

MySmartPrice spotted the listing of Vivo Y200 Pro 5G on the Google Play Console website. The screenshots shared by the publication indicate model number V2303. The listing suggests 8GB RAM and Android 14 operating system on the upcoming handset. It is listed with a Qualcomm chipset codenamed SM6375, coupled with Adreno 619 GPU. The octa-core chipset seems to have two cores clocked at 2.0GHz and cores capped at 1.8GHz. This codename and the CPU speeds are associated with the Snapdragon 695 SoC. Further, the listing shows a full-HD+ display with 1,080×2,400 pixel resolution and 440ppi pixel density on the handset.

The Google Play Console listing also purportedly includes an official-looking image that shows the phone with its curved display and centrally located hole-punch design. The handset is shown in a blue shade with dual rear cameras.

The design and specifications of the Vivo Y200 Pro 5G suggest a lot of similarities with the Vivo V29e that was launched in August last year in India.

The Vivo Y200 was launched in October 2023 with a price tag of Rs. 21,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The price of Vivo Y200e 5G starts at Rs. 19,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB option. The Vivo Y200 runs on a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, while the Y200e is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC.

Vivo Y200e 5G India Launch Date Confirmed; Design, Colour Options Teased

Vivo Y200e 5G is confirmed to launch in India soon. The company has teased the design and colour options of the upcoming handset as well. Earlier reports claimed that the phone may be unveiled in the country later this month. Previous leaks have suggested some key features that the phone may come with. The expected price of the model was also tipped earlier. The smartphone will join the Vivo Y200 5G in the lineup which was unveiled in the country in October 2023.

Vivo India announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Vivo Y200e 5G will launch in India on February 22. A product page for the upcoming handset is also now live on the company’s website. The phone is teased in blue and orange colour options, likely to be marketed as Diamond Black and Saffron Delight shades, as per an earlier leak.

The orange option of the Vivo Y200e 5G is seen with a vegan leather finish and stitch-like criss-cross patterns on the back panel. Even the blue variant appears with a textured finish but it could have a plastic back instead of faux leather.

The triple rear camera system of the Vivo Y200e 5G is placed vertically in separate circular units within a rectangular camera module. A smaller round LED flash unit is placed beside the camera units. The design of the back panel is similar to the Vivo Y200 5G, except for a third camera in place of the Aura Light feature seen in the latter model.

A tipster previously claimed that the Vivo Y200e 5G will be priced in India under Rs. 20,000. It had also been tipped to come with RAM options of 6GB and 8GB alongside 128GB of onboard storage. The RAM may also be expandable virtually up to 16GB.

Earlier leaks also suggested that the Vivo Y200e 5G is likely to get a 6.67-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200nits of peak brightness. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and ship with either Android 13 or Android 14-based UI. Vivo is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery into the phone with support for 44W wired fast charging.

For optics, the Vivo Y200e 5G might carry a 50-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor at the back, while the front camera has been tipped to house a 16-megapixel sensor. The phone may also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The handset is also likely to weigh around 185.5g and measure around 7.79mm in thickness.

Vivo Y200e 5G Spotted on BIS Certification Website; Could Launch in India Soon: Report

Vivo Y200e 5G could be launched in India soon. After recently being spotted on the Google Play Console and GeekBench listing, the smartphone has now reportedly been seen on the Indian BIS certification website. The phone is said to join the Vivo Y200 5G, which was launched in India in October 2023 and featured a 64-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, and a 4,800mAh battery. While the upcoming handset is rumoured to be placed slightly lower than the Y200 in pricing, leaks have suggested it might be equipped with a newer chipset.

The BIS certification listing, spotted by MySmartPrice, showed the brand name Vivo and the model number V2336. The model number matches the one recently seen on the GeekBench V4.0 and Bluetooth SIG listings, as per a 91Mobiles report. However, interestingly, it is different from the model number, V2327, listed on the Google Play Console, which also uses the handset name Vivo Y200e 5G. The reason for this discrepancy is not known.

Despite the discrepancy, the key specifications for the Vivo Y200e 5G remain the same. As per the reports, the smartphone could be equipped with an octa-core chipset carrying the model number SM4450. The serial number points towards Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which is said to be paired with Adreno 613 GPU and 8GB of RAM. Other RAM or storage variants of the handset are currently not known. The handset may also be shipped with the Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14. Additionally, it may also feature a Full-HD+ screen with 1080×2400 resolution.

The Google Play Console listing also revealed the design of the speculated phone. The certification portal shows the Vivo Y200e 5G in a blue colourway. Additional colour options would likely be made available at launch. The camera module and the overall design theme appear to be similar to Vivo’s recently launched Y series models.

A triple rear camera system placed in vertically aligned cutouts is mounted on a rectangular module. The module also houses the LED flash. The back panel appears to be textured, and, on the front, there is a centrally placed hole-punch slot for the front camera. Both the power button and the volume rockers can be seen placed on the right side of the handset.
