Samsung Galaxy F15 5G was launched in India on Monday (March 4) as the latest F-series smartphone from the brand. The Galaxy F15 5G is offered in three different colour options and is backed by a large battery that is claimed to offer up to two days of usage. The Galaxy F15 5G seems like a rebranded version of the Galaxy A15 5G that was released in India in December last year.

The Galaxy F15 5G is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. It is also available with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model, which costs Rs. 14,499. The handset comes in Ash Black, Groovy Violet, and Jazzy Green colourways and is currently listed on Flipkart and Samsung India website. It is confirmed to go on early sale today at 7:00pm IST.

To recall, the Galaxy A15 5G was introduced in December last year with a starting price tag of Rs. 19,499 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

The handset has an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset under the hood, along with up to 6GB of RAM.

For optics, the Galaxy F15 5G has a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel shooter. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie camera. It packs 128GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 1TB.

The Galaxy F15 5G has 5G, Wi-Fi 02.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, and virtual proximity sensor. It carries a fingerprint sensor for authentication.

Samsung is yet to announce an official launch date for the new F-series handset, however, the smartphone’s support page has gone live on the company’s India website with model number SM-E156B/DS. It was recently spotted on some certification platforms with a similar model number. The Galaxy F15 5G is anticipated to debut as a more affordable version of the Galaxy A15 5G. The latter went official in December last year.

A support page for a Samsung handset with model number SM-E156B/DS, believed to be the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, has surfaced on the company’s India website. The page doesn’t share any specifications or images, rather it confirms the phone will support 5G and dual SIM. The unannounced smartphone earlier made its appearance on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with a model number — SM-E156B.

The Galaxy F15 5G is expected to come as a slightly watered-down variant of Galaxy A15 5G. The latter was launched in December with a starting price tag of Rs. 19,499 for the base variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.

Sensors onboard include accelerometers, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, and virtual proximity sensor. Both models come with a fingerprint sensor for authentication. 

The Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G are backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The battery units are said to deliver up to 21 hours of video playback time on a single charge. The Galaxy A25 5G measures 161.0×76.5×8.3mm and weighs 197g. The Galaxy A15 5G measures 160.1×76.8×8.4mm and weighs 200g.

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A25 5G India Launch Set for December 26

Samsung Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G were unveiled in Vietnam on December 11. Now, the smartphones are confirmed to launch in India. Samsung has revealed the launch date of the two A-series phones. The Indian variants of both models are expected to share similar specifications with their Vietnamese versions. They are expected to ship with Android 14-based One UI 6.0, Super AMOLED displays, and 5,000mAh batteries with 25W wired charging support. 

The company confirmed in a press statement that the Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G will launch in India on December 26 at 12:30pm IST. The Indian variant of the Galaxy A15 5G, set to succeed the Galaxy A14 5G, will carry a 50-megapixel triple camera system with Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS) support that is said to reduce blur and distortion in videos. It will also be offered in multiple storage and RAM variants. 

Samsung’s Galaxy A25 5G, on the other hand, is confirmed to feature a 120Hz Super AMOLED display and a 50-megapixel optical image stabilisation (OIS) supported triple rear camera unit. The company claims that this phone will also come with pre-installed AI-backed photo-editing features. In a press release, Samsung said that the Galaxy A25 5G will be powered by a 5nm chipset. 

Both the Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G will be equipped with the Knox Security platform, “built at the chip level” that is claimed to offer users with complete control of their data with the help of features like Auto Blocker, Secure Folder, Privacy Dashboard, Samsung Passkey, etc, Samsung said in the release. The phones will also get Knox Vault chipsets for enhanced data security.

Pricing for the Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G in India is not known. However, the Galaxy A25 5G is priced at VND 65,90,000 (roughly Rs. 22,500) in Vietnam, while the Galaxy A15 5G is listed at VND 62,90,000 (roughly Rs. 21,500). Both models are offered in black, blue, light blue, and yellow colour options.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A15 5G sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Both handsets are equipped with a 13-megapixel front camera sensor. They also pack 5,000mAh batteries with 25W wired charging support. In the Vietnamese market, the phones ship without the chargers in the box.

Samsung Galaxy A15 5G launch is yet to be confirmed officially by the South Korean smartphone maker, but a new leak has disclosed possible design features and specifications of the purported smartphone. The renders suggest that the upcoming Galaxy A series handset will have a waterdrop-style notch display at the front. It is tipped to run on MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC and pack a triple rear camera unit. The Samsung Galaxy A15 5G is expected to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging support.

Tipster Paras Guglani in collaboration with Newzonly shared the alleged renders and specifications of the Galaxy A15 5G. The renders show the display with a waterdrop-style notch, housing the selfie camera. It seems to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. The smartphone is seen in a blue shade with a triple rear camera setup. The phone doesn’t appear to sport a camera bump and sensors are arranged in small individual circular modules, while being placed vertically with a small LED flash unit beside them.

It could run on MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, coupled with the Mali G57 GPU. The handset is said to include a triple rear camera unit, comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel sensor, and a 2-megapixel camera. It could get a 13-megapixel sensor for selfies and video chats.

The Galaxy A15 5G is tipped to offer 128GB of storage that can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card. It could pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging. The phone is likely to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A15 is expected to arrive as a successor to the Galaxy A14 5G. The latter was launched in January with a starting price tag of Rs. 16,499, while the 4G variant of the Galaxy A14 debuted in May with an initial price tag of Rs. 13,999.
