Samsung Galaxy A05s, Galaxy M14, Galaxy F14 Get Discounts in India; Other Models Also Receive Offers

Samsung Galaxy A05s was launched in India in October 2023 in a single RAM and storage configuration. A new RAM variant of the handset was introduced in the country in November. Now, Samsung has announced a special offer that lowers the price of both variants of the smartphone. Budget offerings like the Samsung Galaxy M14 and Samsung Galaxy F14 have also been spotted on the official Samsung website with reduced prices. Other models like the Samsung Galaxy F04 and Samsung Galaxy M04 are also available at discounted rates.

In a press statement, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy A05s model will be available in India with an instant discount of Rs. 2,000 starting January 11. Initially, the phone was launched in a 6GB + 128GB option priced at Rs. 14,999, at launch. Later, a cheaper 4GB + 128GB variant was introduced at Rs. 13,999. With the instant discount offer, the 4GB and 6GB variants of the Galaxy A05s are currently available at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 12,999, respectively.

Meanwhile, as spotted by 91Mobiles, the Samsung Galaxy M14 and Galaxy F14 are also being offered at lowered prices in the country. At launch, the 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB options of the Galaxy M14 were priced respectively at Rs. 13,490 and Rs. 14,990. Now they are listed at Rs. 12,490 and Rs. 13,990, respectively.

The Galaxy F14, on the other hand, was initially listed at Rs. 12,990 and Rs. 14,490 for the 4GB + 128GB and the 6GB + 128GB variants, respectively. Now they are available at Rs. 11,990 and Rs. 13,490 for the 4GB and 6GB options, with a similar Rs. 1,000 discount as the Galaxy M14. The new prices for the Galaxy M14 and Galaxy F14 are listed on the Samsung India website. 

Moreover, discounts are also available on the 4GB + 64GB variants of both the Galaxy F04 and Galaxy M04, which are currently available at lowered prices of Rs. 7,999. The Samsung India listings of the handsets reflect these price points.

Samsung Galaxy A05s price in India is set at Rs. 17,499 and the phone is available in a single 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage configuration. It is currently listed at Rs. 14,999 on the company’s website. The Galaxy A05s is available in Black, Light Green, and Light Violet colour options.

The newly announced smartphone is available with a Rs. 1,000 instant discount on SBI Bank credit card EMI transactions, as per the listing on the Samsung India website.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Samsung Galaxy A05s runs on Android 13 out-of-the-box, with Samsung’s One UI 5.1 interface on top. The handset sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,4000 pixels) PLS LCD screen. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 SoC and features 6GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy A05s is equipped with a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the phone features a 13-megapixel selfie camera, with an f/2.0 aperture.

This handset has 128GB of onboard storage that can be expanded (up to 1TB) via a MicroSD card slot. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The handset also has a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor, and a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. Samsung has confirmed the India launch date of the Galaxy A05s. The phone, which is said to succeed the Galaxy A04s, has been unveiled in the Philippines alongside the Galaxy A05. The company is yet to confirm the India launch of the Galaxy A05. The Galaxy A05s, however, is confirmed to launch in India with three colour options. The Indian variant of the phone is likely to share similar specifications as the variant launched in the Philippines. It could sport a triple rear camera unit and pack an octa-core chipset.

In India, the Samsung Galaxy A05s is confirmed to launch on October 18 in three colour options – black, light green, and light violet. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, where the phone launched recently, the 4GB + 128GB variant of the Galaxy A05s is priced at PHP 7,990 (roughly Rs. 11,700). It is likely that the Indian variant of the handset will also be sold with a similar price tag.

The Indian variant of the Galaxy A05s is confirmed to sport a 6.7-inch full-HD+ display and will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, as per a press release from Samsung. Like the variant launched in the Philippines, the handset is likely to ship with Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.

For optics, the triple rear camera unit of the Indian variant of the Galaxy A05s could feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and another 2-megapixel sensor with a macro lens. The front camera could be housed in a centre-aligned waterdrop notch at the top of the display. It could use a 13-megapixel sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A05s Spotted on Google Play Console; Design, Key Specifications Tipped

Samsung Galaxy A05s is likely to hit the markets soon. The handset had recently surfaced online. It is expected to succeed the Samsung Galaxy A04s, which was released in October 2022 with an octa-core chipset and a 5,000mAh battery. CAD renders of the purported phone were leaked previously. Leaks regarding a Galaxy A05 model also have been reported in the past few weeks, which is expected to succeed the Galaxy A04 handset. A Google Play Console listing has now hinted at the imminent launch of the Galaxy A05s.

In a report, MySmartPrice claims that the Galaxy A05s with the codename a05ssnndxx has been spotted on Google Play Console. The phone is expected to support 6GB of RAM and is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with an Adreno 610 GPU.

According to the listing, the Galaxy A05s is expected to launch in four variants, which are listed with the model numbers SM-A057F, SM-A057G, SM-E145F, and SM-M145F. The image shared on the platforms informs that the handset will be offered in a green colourway, likely also with other options. 

Overall, the design language of the handset remains more or less unchanged over the Galaxy A04s. At the back, the triple camera units are seen vertically arranged in the top left corner of the device alongside a circular LED flash unit. The front panel is seen with slim side bezels, a prominent chin and a centre-aligned waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera.

The listing also suggests that the Galaxy A05s will likely sport a full-HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels) display and ship with  Android 13-based OneUI 5.1. An earlier leak suggested that the handset will have a 6.6-inch screen. It could pack a 4,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The phone has also been tipped to measure around 167.9 x 77.7 x 8.8mm. The Galaxy A05s is expected to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
