Realme GT Neo 6 Price Tipped, Might Run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC

Realme is expected to launch the Realme GT Neo 6 soon, although the company has yet to announce anything about it officially. However, multiple leaks over the past weeks have hinted quite a bit about the upcoming GT Neo series handset, including the presence of 16GB RAM, a 5,000mAh battery, and 100W fast charging support. Now, a tipster has suggested the possible pricing of the Realme GT Neo 6. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

A Chinese tipster has leaked the pricing details of the Realme GT Neo 6. According to his Weibo post, the handset will be priced below CNY 2,000 (roughly Rs. 22,000). Further, it is said to have an aluminium frame and could run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

Past leaks suggested a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC on the Realme GT Neo 6, paired with 16GB RAM and 1TB of onboard storage. It was tipped to pack a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It could house a 5,000mAh battery along with 100W charging support.

The upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 is expected to debut as a successor to the Realme GT Neo 5. The latter was launched in February in China with two charging options. The variant with 240W fast charging support costs CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 39,000) for 16GB RAM + 256GB storage, whereas the 150W variant begins at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 30,400) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model.

Realme GT Neo 5 sports a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It has a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video chats, there is a 16-megapixel Samsung S5K3P9 sensor. Realme has housed a 4,600mAh battery on the 240W variant, while the 150W variant includes a 5,000mAh battery.

The smartphone, which debuted as a successor to the Realme GT Neo 3, supports 240W fast charging, which the company claims to be the fastest smartphone charger in the world. A lite variant of the smartphone with lower specifications was previously rumoured to be released, essentially making the Realme GT Neo 5 Lite cheaper than the vanilla model. A recent leak revealed the specifications of a device known as the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, and now a report claims that the device has been spotted on Geekbench.

According to a Gizmochina report, an upcoming Realme smartphone with the model number Realme RMX3700 was spotted on the Geekbench website. Realme GT Neo 5 Confirmed to Get 240W Fast Charging Support, Will Launch in February

Realme has confirmed to bring 240W fast charging support with its upcoming flagship phones this year and the first phone from the brand to get this technology will be the upcoming GT Neo 5. The company had brought 150W fast charging with Realme GT Neo 3 in 2022. The phone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. While there’s no exact launch date available yet, the Chinese manufacturer did say that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be launched in February.

The Chinese manufacturer confirmed via its official Weibo page that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be the first phone from the brand to come with the fastest 240W charging technology. It also said that the phone is slated to arrive in February. The Realme GT Neo 5 will feature 13 inbuilt temperature sensors, a PS3 fire protection design, and a full-link safety monitoring mechanism. It will also have a 6580mm² heat dissipation area, the company revealed in a press release.

Realme said that the upcoming fastest charging technology will use a 240W dual GaN mini charging adapter to get the highest power density of 2.34W / CC. It will come with a low-voltage charging solution supported by a super-high power conversion rate of 98.7 percent. Additionally, the company will also introduce a 12A charging cable with 21AWG thickened copper wires and a single USB-C interface.

The company shared that the charging conversion efficiency reaches 98.5 percent by using a three-way 100W charge pump parallel design, 20V 12A input, and 10V 24A output. Furthermore, 240W is said to have no effect on the battery life as tests conducted found that it was over 80 percent even after 1,600, 0-100 percent full charging cycles. It also did not show any safety failure at 85°C high temperature and 85 percent high humidity environment after 21 days of the testing period, said Realme.

According to a previous report, the phone is tipped to arrive in two variants with different batteries and fast charging configurations i.e, a 5,000mAh battery with support for 150W fast charging and a 4,600mAh battery with support for 240W fast charging.
