Realme GT Neo 5 Confirmed to Get 240W Fast Charging Support, Will Launch in February

Realme has confirmed to bring 240W fast charging support with its upcoming flagship phones this year and the first phone from the brand to get this technology will be the upcoming GT Neo 5. The company had brought 150W fast charging with Realme GT Neo 3 in 2022. The phone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. While there’s no exact launch date available yet, the Chinese manufacturer did say that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be launched in February.

The Chinese manufacturer confirmed via its official Weibo page that the Realme GT Neo 5 will be the first phone from the brand to come with the fastest 240W charging technology. It also said that the phone is slated to arrive in February. The Realme GT Neo 5 will feature 13 inbuilt temperature sensors, a PS3 fire protection design, and a full-link safety monitoring mechanism. It will also have a 6580mm² heat dissipation area, the company revealed in a press release.

Realme said that the upcoming fastest charging technology will use a 240W dual GaN mini charging adapter to get the highest power density of 2.34W / CC. It will come with a low-voltage charging solution supported by a super-high power conversion rate of 98.7 percent. Additionally, the company will also introduce a 12A charging cable with 21AWG thickened copper wires and a single USB-C interface.

The company shared that the charging conversion efficiency reaches 98.5 percent by using a three-way 100W charge pump parallel design, 20V 12A input, and 10V 24A output. Furthermore, 240W is said to have no effect on the battery life as tests conducted found that it was over 80 percent even after 1,600, 0-100 percent full charging cycles. It also did not show any safety failure at 85°C high temperature and 85 percent high humidity environment after 21 days of the testing period, said Realme.

According to a previous report, the phone is tipped to arrive in two variants with different batteries and fast charging configurations i.e, a 5,000mAh battery with support for 150W fast charging and a 4,600mAh battery with support for 240W fast charging. Additionally, the phone is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2,169Hz pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming. Under the hood, it is said to carry a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

Realme GT Neo 4 Tipped to Get Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 100W Fast Charging: Report

Realme GT Neo 4 specifications have been tipped, as per a report. The tipster shared the specifications of an unnamed phone, which is said to rival the Redmi K60. The tipster further said that the handset could sport a 1.5K+ resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate and 2,160Hz pulse-width modulation (PWM). The smartphone is tipped to pack an unspecified large battery with 100W fast charging support. Realme GT Neo 4 was recently spotted by another tipster on the company’s official website in China and India.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some key specifications of an unnamed rival of the Redmi K60 via the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. According to a report by GearTale, these specifications belong to the Relame GT Neo 4. The tipster said that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The Realme GT Neo 4 could sport a 1.5K+ resolution flexible display with 120Hz refresh rate, 2,160Hz PWM, and eye protection support, according to the report citing the tipster. The handset is tipped to sport an unspecified large battery with 100W fast charging support. The company is yet to officially announce the specifications of the rumoured smartphone.

According to a recent report, the Realme GT Neo 4 was spotted by a tipster on company’s official website in India and China. This suggested that the phone could debut in both the countries. The phone is expected to succeed the Realme GT Neo 3.

To recall, the Realme GT Neo 3 was launched in India in April. The smartphone sports a 6.7-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, full-HD+ resolution, and 1,000Hz touch sampling rate. The phone also features HDR10+ support. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G SoC, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 inbuilt storage.

For optics, the Realme GT Neo 3 features a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. At the front the handset sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It packs a 4,500mAh battery option with 150W UltraDart charging support and a 5,000mAh battery option with 80W fast charging support.

Realme Confirms GT Neo 3T Launch Date Confirmed, 3 Variants Expected

Realme had announced that it will soon hold the GT Neo 3 series launch event and that the three in the GT Neo 3 also stands for three models and not just third-generation. Now, the Chinese company has confirmed that one of the three upcoming models, Realme GT Neo 3T, will launch on June 7. The smartphone has been tipped to launch in India next month with a Snapdragon 870 SoC. It is expected to be the successor to the GT Neo 2T that was launched in China in October last year.

The Chinese smartphone brand, Realme, has announced in a tweet that the company will launch the Realme GT Neo 3T at its upcoming GT Neo 3 series launch event. Realme Indonesia has confirmed a June 7 launch date via Twitter for the smartphone.

Earlier, the company had tweeted that in the near future the company will hold the GT Neo 3 series launch event. The company also said that there will be three models of the smartphone.

Realme GT Neo 3T is the first model that the company has confirmed of the three that will launch at the event. The company had also teased the model 4 hours before the confirmation.

According to a report, the Realme GT Neo 3T will come with a 6.5-inch touchscreen and 256GB of internal memory. The smartphone is expected to get a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone was also spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website. The listing showed that the smartphone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC with a 1 + 3 + 4 core configuration and Adreno 650 GPU. Based on the details, it is expected to get the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. The smartphone is also expected to get an 8GB RAM variant and Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 on top. It is said to be the successor to the Realme GT Neo 2T that was launched in China in October 2021.

Realme GT Neo 3T has been tipped to launch in June 2022 in India, but the company is yet to confirm official launch dates of the model in the country. The company has also not provided any details regarding the price of the device.
