Moto E32s With Triple Rear Cameras, 90Hz Display Launched: Price, Specifications

Moto E32s has been launched as the latest entrant in Motorola’s Moto E series. The new smartphone offers features including a 90Hz display and carries a triple rear camera setup. The Moto E32s also comes with Android 12 out-of-the-box. Similar to other Motorola phones, the Moto E32s gets a water-repellent design. The new Motorola phone also comes in two distinct colour options to choose from. Overall, the phone appears to be a slightly tweaked variant of the Moto E32 that was launched just earlier this month.

Moto E32s price, availability

Moto E32s price starts at EUR 149.99 (roughly Rs. 12,400). The phone is initially available in select European markets in Misty Silver and Slate Gray colours. It will debut in India and Japan in the coming weeks, the company said.

Exact launch date in India is yet to be revealed. However, tipster Mukul Sharma recently tweeted to claim that the Moto E32s will arrive in India on Friday, May 27.

Earlier this year, the Moto E32 was launched in Europe at EUR 149 (roughly Rs. 12,300) for the lone 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant.

Moto E32s specifications

The Moto E32s runs Android 12 with My UX on top and features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G37 SoC, along with 3GB and 4GB RAM options, PhoneArena reports. The Moto E32s carries the triple rear camera setup that houses a 16-megapixel primary sensor, coupled with a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

For selfies and video chats, the Moto E32s carries a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front.

The Moto E32s comes with 64GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The phone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Besides, Motorola has equipped the Moto E32s with a 5,000mAh battery.

North American Smartphone Shipments Grew 4 Percent in Q1 2022, Apple Led The Market: Canalys

The North American smartphone market has witnessed a small 4 percent increase in shipments in the first quarter of 2022, as per a report by market research firm Canalys. Apple became the primary driver in this case, which grew 19 percent to achieve a 51 percent market share in Q1 2022, while Samsung secured the second spot. Motorola took third place in this stream, whereas TCL and Google managed to get into the top fourth and fifth positions, respectively during the quarter.

A report from Canalys says that the North American smartphone shipments reached 39 million units in the first quarter of 2022, marking a 3.7 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth.

Apple was the largest contributor to smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2022 with 19.9 million shipments that helped it achieve a market share of 51 percent, the report states. Samsung shipped 10.5 million units taking the second spot with a market share of 27 percent. The South Korean brand saw a year-on-year growth of just 1 percent.

Motorola took the third spot in terms of smartphone shipments in North America. The company shipped 4 million products and recorded a 56 percent annual growth with a 10 percent market share.

On the other hand, TCL and Google captured the fourth and fifth spots in the North American smartphone shipments market with 4 percent and 3 percent market share, respectively in Q1 2022.

“High inflation places an enormous amount of pressure on carriers in North America as rate increases will be necessary,” said Brian Lynch, Canalys Analyst. “Heavy discounting and high trade-in values are being used to lure in and retain customers for the region’s biggest telcos, easing pressure on the high-end smartphone market. Supply will remain a key bottleneck for the top vendors in the upcoming quarter, but North America will continue to be a priority and is likely to maintain healthy supply levels. The North American market is well placed to avoid any significant volatility in shipments despite the uncertain outlook of its economy,” Lynch further added.

The iPhone 13’s high performance is being considered as the powering background for the Apple’s strong shipment growth in the North American smartphone segment in Q1 2022, according to the report.

The Motorola Edge 30 could be India’s first Snapdragon 778G+ SoC powered phone. However, Motorola hasn’t officially revealed any information regarding the launch date of the smartphone yet.

In April last week, the handset was launched in select global markets with a starting price tag of EUR 449.99 (roughly Rs. 36,300) for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant. It was unveiled in Aurora Green, Meteor Gray, and Supermoon Silver colour options. The Indian variant is also likely to be priced similarly.

It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G+ processor, paired with 8GB of RAM.
