Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Edge 40 Neo smartphones are now available in India in a new colour variant. The new Peach Fuzz colour option arrives months after the launch of the handsets. The new shade is Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2024. The Peach Fuzz colour variant of Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Edge 40 Neo will go on sale starting January 12 in the country. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra runs on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, whereas the Motorola Edge 40 Neo is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7030 SoC.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, Edge 40 Neo price in India

The Peach Fuzz colour variant of Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will go on sale in India with a special limited period pricing of Rs. 69,999 through Amazon, the company website, and leading retail stores. The flip-style foldable phone is also available in Infinite Black, Viva Magenta, and Glacier Blue shades as well.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo, on the other hand, will go on sale through Flipkart and Motorola India website with a price tag of Rs. 22,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at Rs. 24,999. The new colour option will sit alongside the Black Beauty, Caneel Bay, and Soothing Sea variants that have already been available in India since the phone’s launch in September last year.

The launch of these smartphones in Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2024 option marks Motorola’s collaboration with Pantone.

Both Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Motorola Edge 40 Neo run on Android 13. The former features a 6.9-inch full-HD+ foldable pOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate. It has a 3.6-inch (1,056×1,066 pixels) pOLED outer panel with 144Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a 6.55-inch full-HD+(1,080×2,400 pixels) poLED curved display with 144Hz refresh rate.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood, whereas the Edge 40 Neo is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7030 SoC. Both phones flaunt dual rear cameras. The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra houses a 3,800mAh battery with 30W wired fast charging and 5W wireless charging support. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo, on the other hand, has a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging support.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, Motorola Edge 40 Neo Get New Peach Fuzz Colour Option: Price, Offers

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Motorola Edge 40 Neo were launched earlier this year across several markets. The Razr 40 Ultra was initially launched in Infinite Black and Viva Magenta shades. A third Glacier Blue colourway was added to the phone in November. Meanwhile, the Edge 40 Neo arrived in Black Beauty, Caneel Bay, and Soothing Sea colours. Both phones have now been introduced in a new colour option in select regions. The company announced that the handsets will be available in a Peach Fuzz colour option, which is Pantone’s 2024 Colour of the Year.

Motorola announced in a post on X, that the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Motorola Edge 40 Neo will now be offered in an additional Peach Fuzz colour option. The new variant of both the Razr 40 Ultra and the Edge 40 Neo is found listed on the company’s Europe website.

Motorola India has also teased the availability of this new colour variant in the country. The addition is confirmed by a microsite on the website even though the colour has not yet been added to the respective product pages on the Motorola India website.

The prices of both handsets remain unchanged. The sole 8GB + 256GB variant of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is priced in India at Rs. 79,999 and can be purchased via Amazon. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 22,999 for its 8GB + 128GB variant, while the high-end 12GB + 256GB option is listed at Rs. 24,999 on Flipkart as well as the official India website.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra comes with a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 3,800mAh battery with 30W wired and 5W wireless charging support. Motorola Edge 40 Neo 5G has been launched in India on Thursday (September 21) as the latest 5G smartphone from the Lenovo-owned brand. The new Edge-series phone sports a hole-punch display with 144Hz refresh rate and runs on MediaTek Dimensity 7030 SoC. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging support. The handset was originally unveiled in select global markets last week. In the sub-Rs. 25,000 price segment, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo is expected to compete with the likes of Realme 10 Pro+, iQoo Neo 6, and Samsung Galaxy M53 5G among others.

The price of Motorola Edge 40 Neo in India has been set at Rs. 23,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The top-end model with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at Rs. 25,999. The phone comes in Black Beauty, Caneel Bay and Soothing Sea colours and will go on sale through the company’s India website, e-commerce site Flipkart as well as select retail stores starting September 28 at 7:00pm IST.

Motorola is offering the handset with a special festive discount of Rs. 3,000. However, there is no word on the duration of this launch offer. Launch offers on the Moto Edge 40 Neo include a Rs. 1,000 discount for purchases made via select bank credit cards and EMI transactions. Further, no-cost EMI options start at Rs. 3,500 per month.

For optics, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support and f/1.8 aperture and a 13-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel camera. It has an IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Connectivity options on the Motorola Edge 40 Neo include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, FM radio, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and SAR sensor. It comprises an in-display fingerprint reader for authentication. It features dual stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos technology.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) claimed that the Motorola Edge 40 Neo will be priced at Rs. 24,999 in India. In this price range, the handset could compete with the likes of the Poco X5 Pro, Samsung Galaxy M53 5G, and Realme 10 Pro+. This is in line with a previous leak that also suggested that the handset will be priced under Rs. 25,000 in the country.

Motorola Edge 40 Neo will debut in India on September 21. It is confirmed to go on sale via Flipkart. The e-commerce website has created a dedicated microsite revealing the specifications of the handset.
