For optics, the Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition has a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 160-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video chats, there is a 32-megapixel AI camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Connectivity options on the Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition include 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, NFC, USB OTG, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include a compass, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and gravity sensor. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The new variant also supports the face unlock feature.

The Honor 80 Pro Straight Screen Edition is backed by a 4,800mAh battery with support for 66W SuperFast fast charging. It measures 162.5×75.3×7.9mm and weighs up to 193 grams.

Honor 80 GT, Honor 80 Pro Flat Screen Variant Spotted on 3C Certification Website; December Launch Expected

Honor 80 series, which includes the vanilla Honor 80, Honor 80 Pro and Honor 80 SE, was recently launched in China. According to a recent report, a couple of new models could be on their way for the Honor 80 series. Two new Honor phones, believed to be the Honor 80 GT and a flat screen variant of the Honor 80 Pro, have been reportedly spotted on the China’s Compulsory Certification (3C) website. Notably, the original Honor 80 Pro launched with a curved display.

The 3C listing, first spotted by Gizmochina, mentions two new Honor devices with model numbers AGT-AN00 and ANB-AN00. Gadgets360 was able to confirm the listings on the 3C website. As per the report, the two phone models are expected to launch on December 26 as the Honor 80 GT and the Honor 80 Pro flat display variant. The 3C listing also hints that both handsets will be 5G-enabled and could support 33W fast charging. The report further states that the Honor 80 GT and the new variant of the Honor 80 Pro could be powered by a lower frequency version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The original Honor 80 Pro that launched in November was also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The handset features a 6.78-inch curved OLED display, with a 1224×2700 pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits of peak brightness.

In the camera department, the Honor 80 Pro has a triple rear camera setup led by a 160-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide/ macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The handset also features a pill-shaped cut-out on the front that houses a 50-megapixel front camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Honor 80 series went on sale on December 9 in China. The Chinese manufacturer has not yet confirmed any dates for the availability of the handsets in other markets.

The Honor 80 Pro is available to pre-book in China for CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 40,000) for the base 8GB + 256GB storage model. The 12GB + 256GB storage and 12GB + 512GB storage variants are priced at CNY 3,799 (roughly Rs. 43,000) and CNY 4,099 (roughly Rs. 47,000), respectively.

Similarly, the base 8GB + 256GB storage model of the Honor 80 is listed for CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 31,000). Meanwhile, the 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,000), whereas the top-of-the-line 12GB + 512GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 38,000)

Both of these Honor handsets come in Black Jade Green, Blue Waves, Bright Black, and Pink Morning Glory (translated) colours.

Honor 80 Pro SE price, availability

The Honor 80 SE can be pre-booked in China for CNY 2,399 (roughly Rs. 27,000) for its 8GB + 256GB storage model. Meanwhile, the 12GB + 256GB storage model costs CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 31,000). This Honor smartphone comes in Bright Black, Cherry Pink Coral, Iceland Fantasy, and Moonlight Crystal (translated) colours.

The Honor 80 series is currently available to pre-book in China the sale opens on December 9. The company is yet to shed a light on the global availability of these handsets.

The Honor 80 SE is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, paired with a Mali-G68 GPU. It features a triple rear camera setup, highlighted by a 64-megapixel main sensor. There is also a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It has a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front as well.

The Honor 80 SE houses a 4,600mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. This dual-SIM (Nano) 5G smartphone also features support for dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5.1 technologies.

Honor, took to Weibo to announce the arrival of its new Honor Magic Vs foldable smartphone. As per the post, the handset will be launched at 2:30pm CET (12:00pm IST) on November 23. A teaser shared by the brand shows the foldable smartphone’s hinge and suggests flat edges.

The Chinese smartphone company will announce its latest operating system Magic UI 7.0 at the event. The Honor 80 series smartphones are also expected to be launched alongside the Magic Vs foldable phone.

Separately, tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked camera details of the Honor 80 series. According to the tipster, the successor to the Honor 70 series will feature a 160-megapixel primary rear camera. It could be a custom sensor based on Samsung’s ISOCELL HP3 200-megapixel sensor. Further, the upcoming lineup could house a dual 50-megapixel camera on the front. Furthermore, it is believed that the Honor 80 series devices may feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
