The Honor Pad V8 Pro tablet is priced at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs. 31,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,899 (roughly Rs. 34,500). The top-of-the-line 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 39,300). However, all three configurations currently carry a CNY 100 (roughly Rs.1,200) discount.

The Honor Pad V8 Pro is available in three different colourways — Burning Orange, Clear Sky Blue, and Star Gray. The tablet is up for pre-order now on the Honor website and is expected to go on sale starting December 30.

The Honor Pad V8 Pro runs Android 12-based MagicOS 7.0 out-of-the-box. It comes with a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display, with 1,600×2,560 pixel resolution, 600 nits of peak brightness and 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.

In the camera department, the Honor Pad V8 Pro sports a single f/2.0 13-megapixel camera on the back, along with an LED flash. It also has an f/2.2 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. The rear camera can shoot 4K video, while the front camera is limited to full-HD video resolution.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port. The device has an inbuilt accelerometer and is compatible with the Magic Pencil 3 and the Smart Touch keyboard. In the battery department, the Honor Pad V8 Pro packs a 10,050mAh cell and supports 35W fast charging.

The metallic Clear Sky Blue and Star Gray colour variants of the tablet measure 277mmx178.95mmx6.64mm and weigh 589 grams, while the polyurethane Burning Orange model is slightly thicker at 6.99mm and slightly heavier at 599 grams.

Honor has launched the Honor X5 in the Middle East markets. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer revealed the handset on its Middle East website on Thursday. The Honor X5 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 SoC and features a 6.5-inch HD+ display. The smartphone also sports a single rear camera setup and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. Honor has not yet confirmed an official launch in markets outside the Middle East. The Honor X5 release comes just days ahead of the China launch of Honor 80 GT on December 26.

The price of the Honor X5 is subject to regional markets. The price of the handset in Jordan is set at JD 75 (roughly Rs. 8,700), according to Honor Jordan Facebook page.

Honor X5 is available in three different colour options — Sunrise Orange, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black. However, Honor says the availability of colour variants in different regions will be dependent on market.

The Honor X5 offers dual-SIM 4G connectivity and runs Android 12 (Go edition) out-of-the-box. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch LCD display, with 720×1600 pixel resolution, and 20:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, accompanied by an IMG GE8320 GPU. The Honor X5 comes with 2GB of RAM.

In the camera department, the Honor X5 features an 8-megapixel, f/2.0 single camera on the back, along with a 5-megapixel front camera housed in a waterdrop-shaped notch at the top. The camera module on the back includes an LED flash.

This smartphone comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage and supports external memory expansion up to 1TB via a microSD slot. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, OTG, Bluetooth v5.1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroUSB port. The Honor X5 also includes a gravity sensor, a proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor.

Honor has packed a 5,000mAh battery on the budget Honor X5. It measures 164.04×75.57×8.92mm and weighs approximately 193 grams.

Honor 80 GT, Honor 80 Pro Flat Screen Variant Spotted on 3C Certification Website; December Launch Expected

Honor 80 series, which includes the vanilla Honor 80, Honor 80 Pro and Honor 80 SE, was recently launched in China. According to a recent report, a couple of new models could be on their way for the Honor 80 series. Two new Honor phones, believed to be the Honor 80 GT and a flat screen variant of the Honor 80 Pro, have been reportedly spotted on the China’s Compulsory Certification (3C) website. Notably, the original Honor 80 Pro launched with a curved display.

The 3C listing, first spotted by Gizmochina, mentions two new Honor devices with model numbers AGT-AN00 and ANB-AN00. Gadgets360 was able to confirm the listings on the 3C website. As per the report, the two phone models are expected to launch on December 26 as the Honor 80 GT and the Honor 80 Pro flat display variant. The 3C listing also hints that both handsets will be 5G-enabled and could support 33W fast charging. The report further states that the Honor 80 GT and the new variant of the Honor 80 Pro could be powered by a lower frequency version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The original Honor 80 Pro that launched in November was also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The handset features a 6.78-inch curved OLED display, with a 1224×2700 pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1000 nits of peak brightness.

In the camera department, the Honor 80 Pro has a triple rear camera setup led by a 160-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide/ macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. The handset also features a pill-shaped cut-out on the front that houses a 50-megapixel front camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Honor 80 series went on sale on December 9 in China. The Chinese manufacturer has not yet confirmed any dates for the availability of the handsets in other markets.
