Shilpa Shetty showed us how to glam up desi & rock in a sharara set by Sukriti and Aakriti: Yay or Nay?

 

A little red, a little pink. Sounds like the real glam deal now? Summer is team vibrant hues and to do it justice, you may want to forget the most revered term, ‘minimalism’, and go ‘maximalism’. With Ramadan not so far away from us, it’s never too early to get an ensemble that meets the festive spirit more than just right. Here’s how to approve of a fresh and chic verve of going desi, courtesy of Shilpa Shetty Kundra. Last night actors like Salman Dutt, Sanjay Dutt and more were photographed at an Iftar party all dressed up on-point.

 

Here’s an ethnic ensemble that’s enchanted the mother-of-two which can be so versatile enough to have you dressed up as a wedding guest. Styled by Sukriti Grover in a wild berry sharara set by Sukriti and Aakriti. It was high on colour gradient mode for it brought pink and red close which was utterly stunning with gold hue complementing it. 

 

 

The Rs. 39,200.00 combo consisted of a strappy mini kurta which had intricate and regal gold embroidered patterns and a deep U-neckline. It also entailed tassels attached to both straps and this was teamed with sharara pants which were the epitome of comfort and elegance. Much to our delight, this came with gold foil work which looked completely party-perfect with a ruffled hem. To round it all, a dupatta that matched up her ensemble was used and it looked instantly gorgeous with tassel details. 

 

 

To accessorise Shilpa’s look, chunky jewellery was given a vote from chandbali earrings that boasted three tiers and pearls, kadas, rings, and a silk potli bag. Her hair was styled into waves with a middle partition and makeup leaned towards the dewy side.

Deepika Padukone’s summer airport style in beige coordinated shorts set & a white top is a hit: Yay or Nay?

Not every star-approved outfit becomes the talk of the town. But, when Deepika Padukone does it, nobody has a say in it. She’s the OG fashion girl who keeps on giving and slaying. In one such episode of how to make a statement yet again in summer, she showed cool style or nothing as a jet-setter and it turns out that she favours coord sets lately. Fancy some major style? She’s the diva to watch all day, every day. 

It was just weeks ago when she made a statement in Levi’s x Deepika Padukone green denim coordinated jacket and straight-fit pants. And, last night was another style hit we saw through a casual airport look. She picked out a beige set that consisted of high-waisted shorts with an elastic waistband and drawstring details. To go with this, entered a jacket that bore pockets, and lapels and she had both her sleeves pulled up, giving it an edgy finish. 

The 36-year-old styled this warm number with a white top that was cropped right on her waist and it also bore a crew-neck detail. This time around she skipped sneakers for the love of slip-ons that came in white. And, the accessory to make most of its time with her are sunnies. Be it day or night, she has sunnies on when you spot her at the airport. Her summer hairdo looked natural and messy and cute. The starlet wore subtle makeup with eyebrows drawn and lips done with lipstick.

Alia Bhatt’s bridal look had a symbolic detail of a number & her freckles were another hit; Details inside

 

It never feels wrong to ride on the minimalism wave and who better than the latest of the Bollywood lot to join the newly married club to give us a beautiful picture of how it’s done. The actress called it a big day yesterday after a 5-year-long relationship which is now sealed forever with her Mr. Kapoor. The couple brought a touch of heaven to her Vastu residence as it was decked up with everything white and gold which was in sync with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s Sabyasachi outfits and jewellery. 

 

 

It’s the details for us. The RRR actress had us at customisation that was high on a number that’s definitely not hard to guess. It was spelled on her saree to her accessories. For the brides of today, Alia’s look can be the inspiration for your dreams. Simple yet enormously regal where you get to be you and have all that you love in one place. Shall we elaborate it to you with more than one case in point?

 

 

Styled by Ami Patel, Alia’s bridal trousseau consisted of an ivory organza saree embroidered with tilla work that had patterns of butterflies look glorious which was teamed with a matching hand woven tissue veil that had the infinity symbol which holds much significance and resembles that number (look at it horizontally) ‘8’ (Kapoor boy’s lucky number) and it also featured an alphanumeric detail that had the day and the date of their wedding ‘The fourteenth of April 2020’ embroidered in white. Well done, Diet Sabya for bringing this cutesy customised detail to our notice!

 

 

 

Another to obsess over were her accessories. Alia’s seeshphool with a maang tikka and jhumkas went with the theme making her a bride to remember. Her chunky uncut diamond necklace with hand-strung pearls was placed beneath her simple mangalsutra that bore an infinity symbol in gold too just above the pendant. Moving on to her studded game of kangans, it had a mix of chudas too. The 29-year-old’s gold Kaleeras although it looked light, it had enticing customisation much to our liking. It consisted of birds, and clouds placed in a tiered pattern that had stars attached too. Graceful, pretty and so very unique. Having established that infinity shape and number 8 are something the duo love, even her kaleeras spoke of it. 

 

 

 

Not the one to love heavy Mehendi designs? Here’s the bride who can prove what’s just as alluring instead of going big on cramming up your arms with henna’s hue. She had up to her wrist done with henna and that’s about it. Perfect, isn’t it? 

 

 

 

Alia’s hairdo by Flavien Heldt leaned towards a natural route. As it was kept untied, straight and it steered away from staying super sleek. The starlet has been flaunting freckles since her movie, Gangubai Kathiawadi’s promotions and so it made a return here as well. Puneet B Saini kept the starlet’s makeup subtle with less is more formula and her eyes were beautifully highlighted with black kohl, what a stunner!

We saw a graceful slew of pictures that had this actress dressed in a floral hand-embroidered lehenga by Rahul Mishra and just when we were trying to move past its beauty, we saw another look follow suit. Mohit Rai styled the star again and this time it was in a glossy gown by Gaby Charbachy. It’s summer and to do strapless is the norm. She unleashed a bombshell vibe in this full-length dress gown that came with a deep sweetheart neckline, a thigh-high slit, and subtle pleated touch. It also had a belt made with the same fabric as her ensemble.

 

 

Dipped in class-apart charm, the stylist chose to add green accessories to her look. Who would go monochrome when this combination can do a winning job? It was a mix of emeralds and diamonds that did its luxe thing. Her center-parted hair was brushed and styled into soft waves. Shilpa’s lips were glossy and her eyes had a winged eyeliner.
