Serge Ibaka: “At the end of the day, basketball is a game”
In Munich, Serge Ibaka was introduced to the media as he embarked on his journey in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with Bayern.
He expressed his gratitude at the opportunity to join this renowned sports club and work alongside one of the most accomplished head coaches in the league’s history, Pablo Laso.
Then, he went on to talk about him being a “decisive factor” in his decision process before signing.
“It’s a great coach, a great person: that’s the most important,” Ibaka said. “At this level of my career, it’s important for me when I’m working to work with a good person. At the end of the day, basketball is a game.
“And it’s important that when I’m spending a year of working hard and traveling, to make sure I’m working with a great person. And that’s Pablo.”
