Russell Westbrook made his debut with the Clippers in a double-overtime loss against the Kings (175-176). The 34-year-old point guard scored 17 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 14 assists in 39 minutes of play.

After the game he talked about how he felt playing for his new team, also speaking about what specifically he brought to the game.

“It was great just to get back on the floor,” the former NBA MVP said. “Obviously, you wanna win and that’s the most important part. Watch the film, get ready to go on Sunday.”

“Just trying to find ways to be effective while I’m on the floor and whatever is asked of me, screening, whatever, rolling, handling, whatever that may be. Cutting. Just try to do different things to impact the game and using my IQ to be able to make plays for others.”
