Lamar Jackson slander continues, former Ravens safety blames him
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson responded to criticism by former safety Bernard Pollard.
When it comes to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, everyone has an opinion about his skill at the position. Some cite that he won the NFL MVP award for a reason back in 2019. Others criticize his throwing abilities. Well, former safety Bernard Pollard let everyone know his feelings about Jackson.
On Twitter, Pollard responded to a tweet from former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back and ESPN analyst Ryan Clark, who said that Jackson should have been listed on ESPN’s top 10 quarterbacks list. Pollard said that while he believes he’s a top 10 talent, he did not view him as a top 10 quarterback. Pollard then said that no top wide receiver would go to the Ravens because Jackson was on the team.
Jackson saw the tweet from Pollard and responded. That then led to a lengthy exchange between the two.

The exchange had it all. Jackson saying the only reason Pollard won a Super Bowl was because of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. Pollard telling him good luck at winning a championship. Jackson mocking Pollard posting a six-second college highlight. Pollard telling Jackson to turn on the film and that he will teach him how to read a defense.
We suggest looking at the full tweet thread because it is a lot.
Of course, the talk of wide receivers stems from Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who requested a trade off the team and ended up with the Arizona Cardinals. Brown did respond to a narrative that he left because of Jackson, where he defended his former quarterback.
Jackson is coming off of a 2021 campaign where he threw for 2,882 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions while completing 64.4-percent of his passes. He also ran for 767 yards and two touchdowns on 133 carries.
The quarterback is entering his fifth year with the team and becomes a free agent at the end of the 2022 season. The Ravens and Jackson have yet to reach an agreement on a new contract.
