Kevin Porter is under arrest in New York City
On Monday in New York City, Kevin Porter was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, who happens to be a WNBA player, according to information from the police obtained by ABC News.
Porter is currently being held in custody at the NYPD’s 17th precinct located in Midtown.
The incident took place after Porter returned early on Monday morning from a night out at the Millennium Hotel in Times Square, where he and his girlfriend were staying.
Police sources suggest that the girlfriend was upset about his late return and had locked the door.
With the assistance of hotel security, Porter managed to enter the room, and it is alleged that he physically attacked the woman, as reported by the sources.
The extent of the injuries sustained by the victim has not been immediately clarified. Porter is now facing pending charges related to domestic assault.
