James Harden addressed the media for the first time since joining the Philadelphia 76ers, expressing his desire for a trade from the team.

“When I got traded here, my whole thing was to retire as a Sixer,” said Harden. “I wanted to be here and retire a Sixer. The front office didn’t have that in their plans. It’s literally out of my control.”

Harden has voiced his concerns about the Sixers, particularly targeting Daryl Morey. In June, he activated his $35.6 million contract with the Sixers, anticipating a subsequent trade.

“No,” said Harden when asked if his relationship with Morey can be repaired.

“It’s not even about this situation. This is about life. When you lose trust in someone… It’s like a marriage. When you lose trust in someone… It’s pretty simple.”
