Confirmed Man United XI vs Burnley: Marcus Rashford still out, team unchanged – Man United News And Transfer News

Erik ten Hag has selected the same Manchester United XI to face Burnley today that beat Sheffield United in midweek.

Andre Onana is in goal.

The back four, once again, are Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Casemiro and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are all still out injured, although Ten Hag has said Shaw, Martinez and forward Anthony Martial are back training on the grass and should rejoin team training this week.

Ten Hag has played Wan-Bissaka on the left and Dalot on the right several times this season but switched them back against the Blades. That seemed to suit them better so he is likely to keep that going.

Kobbie Mainoo and Christian Eriksen are the deep midfielders, with Bruno Fernandes ahead of them. Fernandes has been in hot form of late, despite reportedly playing with a broken hand in the previous game.

Mason Mount returns from injury and is on the bench.

Alejandro Garnacho and Antony are the wingers, with Marcus Rashford still injured. Amad Diallo once again has to make do with a spot on the bench despite several superb cameos.

Rasmus Hojlund is the lone striker and leads the line again in Martial’s continued absence.

Hojlund finally got a goal on Wednesday after a barren spell and will be hoping to keep up the momentum today.

Joining Mount and Amad on the bench are Altay Bayindir, Harry Amass, Louis Jackson, Sofyan Amrabat, Omari Forson, Scott McTominay and Ethan Wheatley.

This means the bench is also almost identical to Wednesday’s, with Habeeb Ogunneye the unlucky one who drops out to accommodate Mount.
