Scouts skeptical of Bronny’s NBA potential: Not an NBA prospect

Bronny James faced difficulties in his freshman season at USC and isn’t getting much support as he heads into the NBA Draft. Despite declaring for the draft, his performance at USC, averaging fewer than five points per game, hasn’t garnered much confidence.

He’s still eligible to return to college. His cardiac arrest last summer may have impacted his play, despite being a McDonald’s All-American in high school. Though he scored 13 points in a scrimmage at the NBA Scouting Combine, scouts’ assessments shared by ESPN’s Marc Spears weren’t overly positive.

Nikki Sapp, the former wife of Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, isn’t tolerating criticism from haters. Recently, she addressed critics on social media who suggested she should be more modest in her posts. Additionally, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst mentioned on The Hoop Collective podcast that the Cavs may explore trading Jarrett Allen.

Allen, the team’s starting center, missed the end of Cleveland’s first-round victory over the Orlando Magic and the entire five-game loss to the Boston Celtics in the second round due to a rib injury.

James Jones: Suns won’t break up Big 3

James Jones is confident in the Phoenix Suns’ roster and has dismissed any talk of trading Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, or Bradley Beal this offseason, despite facing second apron restrictions.

With over $194 million committed to seven players next season, the Suns will surpass the projected $189.5 million second apron, leading to several restrictions on roster additions.

They can only re-sign their free agents, sign their draft picks, sign players to minimum contracts, and make heavily restricted trades.

De Zerbi to leave Brighton

Roberto De Zerbi will leave Brighton following tomorrow’s final Premier League game of the season against Manchester United.

The Italian, who departs by mutual consent, has spent two seasons at the Amex Stadium after joining in September 2022 but has cut a frustrated figure in recent weeks with Brighton’s injury problems hampering his ability to guide the club to a second successive season in Europe.

Brighton chairman Tony Bloom said: “Roberto has given us two excellent seasons of service in which he has led the club to new heights, not least our first ever European campaign which will live long in the memory of Albion fans.

“We have mutually agreed to end Roberto’s contract at a time that suits both parties allowing us the earliest opportunity to plan for next season, and Roberto plenty of time to consider his next move and his future.

“I am sure our fans will give Roberto and his staff a wonderful and fully deserved send off at the Amex before, during and after tomorrow’s match.

“In the meantime, I’d like to thank Roberto and his staff for all their hard work in the past two seasons. They all leave our club on good terms and with our very best wishes for the future.”

De Zerbi’s stock remains high and he has been linked with several jobs in Europe, most notably at Bayern Munich, who have yet to announce a successor to Thomas Tuchel, who will leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

De Zerbi said: “I am very sad to be leaving Brighton, but I am very proud of what my players and staff have achieved with the support of everyone at the club and our amazing fans in the past two historical seasons.

“We have agreed to end my time at Brighton so that the club and I can continue to work in the way that suits each of us best, following our own ideas and visions, as well as our work and human values.

“I have really enjoyed an intense and challenging two years working in the Premier League, not least competing in four major competitions this season. Leaving now provides me with time to take a break before deciding on my future plans.”

Ex-Giant Kawika Mitchell shares heartwarming Amani Toomer story

New York Giants Super Bowl-winning linebacker Kawika Mitchell recently took to his social media account to thank friend and former teammate, Amani Toomer, for saving his life.

Mitchell posted pictures of himself and Toomer from four years ago and in recent days, contrasting his physical and mental state during both periods.

My brother @amanitoomer_81 doesn’t really know the impact these two moment had on my life. The top picture WAS… dying, depressed, unhealthy, recluse, addicted. The bottom picture IS… living, being, healthy, connected, recovered. Yesterday marked 4 years of sobriety from all things (minus ice cream). Today I experience freedom, freedom to just be, to love, experience, thrive, live, appreciate…. I could go on and on. Never give up. #finallylivin

The top photo is of the two men at a social event. The bottom photo is of the pair teaming up at a cycling event.

“Proud of you, brother!” wrote former Giants wide receiver David Tyree.

“Amazing,” retired Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes wrote. “The brotherhood. Thank you for sharing.”

Michael Strahan, Jeremy Shockey, and several other former Giants also chimed in with support.

Mitchell played just one season for the Giants — 2007 — and was an integral part of the defense that led the team to their surprising victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

Toomer is a Giants legend as the franchise’s all-time leading receiver and was one of the core offensive players on that 2007 team.
