Bulls’ Patrick Williams aims for lucrative contract extension
As Patrick Williams gears up for the culmination of his current contract with the Chicago Bulls, the forward has set his sights on securing a substantial payday for his next deal, according to recent revelations by NBA insider Zach Lowe.
Currently under a 4-year, $32 million contract, which is set to expire at the end of the season, the former No. 4 draft pick is poised to enter the market as a restricted free agent next summer.
Zach Lowe’s insights, shared during The Lowe Post podcast, hinted at Williams’ aspirations for a significant financial leap in his upcoming contract negotiations, with expectations significantly surpassing the $20 million mark.
“I’m hearing Patrick Williams wants big, big numbers for his next contract… like, starts with a 2 and isn’t $20M,” Lowe said, via BASKETBALL ON 𝕏.
After averaging 10.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game in 28.3 minutes last season, the 22-year-old Williams is determined to leverage his performance and secure a lucrative extension.
