Brian Windhorst reveals lack of offers for Damian Lillard
Trail Blazers’ star Damian Lillard has requested to be traded to Miami earlier this offseason. However, as the weeks pass, it appears that the Heat, despite their interest, are facing hurdles in assembling a suitable trade package for the 11-year veteran.
NBA insider Brian Windhorst recently shed light on the situation during an episode of NBA Today. “As I look across the league and have conversations with executives and agents, I can’t identify another team that is seriously making an offer for Damian Lillard at this point. My belief is that the Heat can’t either,” said Windhorst, via ClutchPoints.
Lillard’s request for a trade has placed the Trail Blazers in a challenging position. While they are keen on finding a resolution with Miami, other teams seem hesitant to enter the fray with enticing offers for the star point guard.
The stance of Lillard’s agent, stating that he will not play for any team other than the Heat, has intensified the pressure on the Blazers to come to an agreement with Miami.
