Dropping a cannon-shattering episode then gleefully galloping away, not to be seen for several weeks. That’s exactly where “JuRicksic Mort” left us in the least surprising move around.

The good news is that there is still more of Rick and Morty Season 6 and that it’s set to air in 2022. Adult Swim wouldn’t hurt us like that. The bad news is that we’re going to have to wait a while to watch these extra-schwifty new episodes. As we wait for the return, here’s everything we know about Rick and Morty‘s hiatus.

Why Isn’t Rick and Morty on Tonight?

We’re in hiatus territory. After the premiere of “JuRicksic Mort”, Adult Swim announced that Season 6 would be taking a six-week break.

Exactly why this is happening is unclear. Maybe the network just wanted to make this stellar season last a little longer. But breaks like this are nothing new. For Season 3, Rick and Morty premiered its first episode on April Fool’s Day then waited until July until it officially started that season. Season 4 divided its run into two parts: one released in the winter of 2019 and the other released in the spring of 2020. Even last season had a little break. There was roughly a monthlong gap between Episodes 8 and 9. This is all to say, don’t panic. Nothing out of the ordinary is happening.

When Will Rick and Morty Season 6, Episode 7 Premiere?

The good news is we have an answer to that question. Season 6, Episode 7 will premiere on Adult Swim Sunday, November 20 at 11/10c p.m.
